Olson Windows Doors & Siding

They were professional and came out quickly after we called them to give us an estimate. They offer very high end windows. I would use them in the future if it would work out. I am not sure if we have large enough window openings, but I would use them.

They have been great. There have been a couple of little service issues and they have handled them well. They try to work with us to do everything correctly and to our specifications. I am done with all my windows but if I had more windows to do, I would use their services.

The worked turned out very well and I am pleased with the job they did.

They are great and everything was done very well. The people that they use were wonderful. The workers were very attentive and neat. They tidied up after the project. They did a great job. They are going to be doing more work.

KEVIN DIEBALL SHOWED UP ON TIME FOR ESTIMATE. THE REASON I CALLED OLSON WAS MY NEIGHBOR USED OLSON TO INSTALL A NEW FRONT DOOR AND IT LOOKED GREAT. ESTIMATE WAS GIVEN E MAILED TO ME I SUBMITTED CHECK FOR 50 % DOWN AND AN INSTALLATION DATE WAS ASSIGNED .THE INSTALATION DATE AND TIME WAS A NO SHOW. I HAD TAKEN TIME OFF WORK AND AFTER AN HOUR PAST THE 3 HOUR WINDOW OLSON GAVE ME FOR THE INSTALLERS TO BE THERE I CALLED THE OLSON OFFICE , AND ASKED WHERE ARE THE INSTALLERS ? OLSON EXPLAINED TO ME THAT THERE WAS A PROBLEM WITH DELIVERY TRUCK WHICH WAS CONTROLLED BY THE DOOR COMPANY OLSON APPOLOGIZED AS IT WAS BEYOND THIER CONTROL. WHAT OLSON SHOULD HAVE DONE IN MY OPINION IS CALL ME, I SHOULD NOT HAVE HAD TO CALL THEM TO FIND OUT ABOUT THE PROBLEM. THE NEXT APPOINTMENT WENT AS SCHEDULED, DOOR WAS INSTALLED . THERE WAS A PROBLEM WITH THE DOOR LOCK . THE DOOR LOCK PROBLEM COULD NOT BE FIXED THAT DAY ,AND WE AGREED TO WAIT FOR THE NEXT DAY WHEN OLSON CAME BACK TO STAIN THE DOOR . THE NEXT DAY THE DOOR WAS STAINED EXCEPT FOR THE FINISH COAT ON THE INTERIOR BECAUSE THE LOCK ISSUE STILL HAD NOT BEEN RESOLVED .OLSON LEFT ME A NOTE THAT THEY DID NOT APPLY THE FINISH COAT , AND HAD LEFT THE WEATHERSTRIPPING OFF FOR ME TO INSTALL . WHEN I TALKED TO OLSON BEFORE I LEFT I THOUGHT THE PAINTER HAD TOLD ME HE WOULD COMPLETE EVERYTHING INCLUDING THE WEATHERSTRIPPING EXCEPT THE FINISH COAT AROUND THE LOCK BECAUSE OF THE ISSUE WITH THE LOCK.WE OBVIOUSLY HAD A MISUNDERSTANDING HERE . I WENT TO THE LOCKSMITH AND HAD THE LOCK REPAIRED , I INSTALLED THE LOCK, THE WEATHERSTRIPPING AND PUT THE FINNISH COAT ON THE INTERIOR OF THE DOOR. AFTER I COMPLETED THIS I FOUND THERE WAS AIR LEAK IN THE DOOR JAMB WHERE THE DEAD BOLT WAS AND I FIXED THAT PROBLEM. OLSON DOES QUALITY WORK AND I BELEIVE SOMEONE FROM OLSON SHOULD HAVE CONTACTED ME TO REVIEW THIER WORK AND THESE ISSUE WOULD HAVE BEEN RESOLVED BY OLSON.WHEN I REVIEWED THESE ISSUES WITH MY NEIGHBORS WHICH OLSON HAS DONE WORK FOR ,MY NEIGHBORS WERE SHOCKED .CONTACT WITH OLSON WAS FINALLY MADE AND THEY APOLOGIZED AND A RESOLUTION WAS ACHEIVED. OLSON HAS SINCE CALLED ME TO MAKE SURE I AM A SATISFIED CUSTOMER .I TRULY APPRECIATE THIER FOLLOW UP.

Dropped the ball big time on customer service. I had selected this company because of their longevity in the area and their reputation for quality. I did not haggle over price - I was most concerned with quality products, installation and finishing for my home. Unfortunately the scheduling and management of the services was very badly handled and added an extra week onto the end of the project after the windows were installed. They seem to have only one painter to use, so if you use them for finishing, plan on having him around for an extended period. Overall I was left with the disinct impression that the Olson folks were way less concerned about their customer's time, schedule and convenience than their own. Not a good recipe for customer satisfaction in my eyes.

They did a great job and it looks wonderful. They were very responsive to any concerns I had and even redid part of the siding that I didn't like. They were very easy to work with and did a good clean-up job at the end.

They did a fantastic job. I couldn't have had a better service. The cost includes windows and labor.

We called to get a free estimate and one of the owners came out to the house right away. He did a great job explaining in detail every process in removing and reinstalling windows including the way they insulate. He was very personable and paid close attention to all details. He made wonderful suggestions. It took them about 2 weeks before they could come and install, which was not bad. The installation of the windows took 3 days. The installers paid very close attention to detail and made sure they cleaned up after themselves with every window. They replaced all trim on the inside and sent a separate set of workers to patch and paint the trim as well as stain the new front door. Any issues we had (ie: the person who delivered the door forgot to give the company the hardware) was fixed rather quickly. If I called the owner with any questions he was always there to answer the phone and did not complain or act like I was a burden. I was very much pleased with the honesty and integrity of the business as well as the quality of the work. In fact, I am hiring the same company to replace a portion of my roof!

The sales teams at Window?s by Olson were experts and guided us in the product selection process. The pricing was very competitive and they kept us in the loop as our installation date came close. The installation crews were courteous, knowledgeable, clean, and efficient. However the most important aspect of the work was that they were respectful to our property. The crews were on time and at the end of the day did a great job cleaning up. We would strongly recommend Windows by Olson and feel confident that you would have a similar experience to ours.

They set the schedule, inventory was on time, experienced contractors handled the job, and THEY WERE DONE SOONER THAN EXPECTED. Of most importance, the Olson Windows representatives are very personable. The owners of the business are always there making sure things are done right as well. We have recommended Olson Windows to several of our friends and none have been disappointed. I also know that Olson Windows has done work for other contractors from our references as well. Olson Windows and Siding knows what they are doing!

The measurement had to be done twice, as is their policy. One Pella window was defective and was reinstalled three times before it was fixed.

The installers were professional, did an excellent job, and were extremely neat.

I had a great experience from start to finish. They did everything they said they would and the outcome is outstanding! They are going to start my brothers house next week.

The overall job went exceptionally well both times and the crew was great. George and John are very knowledgable, neat, clean and fast. It was a pleasure to have them around. My son was impressed with the attention to detail. Kevin was great from the start and always there and on top of everything all the way through the project. We also had Olson stain our new windows and they are fabulous. We need a new front door and will be having Olson do the work.

I selected this company because I had read great reviews, and was also referred by a co-worker. My decision is one that I will never regret. The team at Olson Windows & Siding was professional, courteous and the sales staff is extremely knowledgeable. From the day I stopped by their showroom to the day that the work was completed, the service I received was top-notch. When my windows were replaced, it was very cold out and I was concerned about the weather and how it would impact the installation. The crew tarped floors, closed doors throughout the home as they were working, and had the windows in so quickly and professionally that I was amazed! The siding installation was seamless. They took extreme care around my newly planted bushes & shrubs. Overall, just a very pleasant experience!

We went to their showroom and they didn?t have what we were looking for. The guy was very nice and came out and talked to us, but they did have what we wanted. He was very helpful. He was very knowledgeable and had a lot of experience.

The installation process was a breeze; we were particularly impressed with the installers? efficiency and attention to detail. They were calm minded, polite and very thorough in their work. The windows were installed in a matter of just a few hours.

My wife and I have been saving to replace our drafty windows, and hideous siding for the last several years. We had contacted 3 different companies, one of which was Olson windows. It was a hands down decision for us to go with them. As nervous as we were at the onset, the sales rep was more than helpful as well as knowledgeable. when the day came to have the work done, I left for work, & my wife stayed home to meet the installers. even though the whole job took close to a week, I couldn't believe how far they got in one day. They did an excellent job cleaning up and securing our house at the end of each work day. "Hat's Off" to the installers! We'll, job's done and we can't begin to explain how happy we are. The windows are beautiful, they open and close so nice, we have screens again, and perfect timing for summer. And with the new siding, we both feel like were at the wrong address when we pull into the driveway. We never thought our home looked that bad before, until we saw how GREAT it now looks. We've even overheard our 3 children bragging about their "new home" with their friend's on the phone. From start to finish I would highly recommend Olson Windows, Doors, & Siding to everyone I know.

They are wonderful!! I have used this company on two occasions (windows the first time, then more windows and a patio door the second time)!! I have referred Olson Windows, Doors & Siding to neighbors and friends who have also had windows replaced in their homes. From the first time I called the company to set up an appointment for a quote thru my most recent installation, everyone was extremely kind, professional, punctual and clean!! The areas where the workmen worked was cleaner when they left than before they arrived! I'm so impressed! Olson Windows, Doors & Siding is a great asset to the Barrington community. Thanks!!

It was a nightmare. First of all, they came on a day that it had rained and they tracked mud in through the house and I actually had to tell them to wipe their feet off. After the windows were installed I couldn't close or lock them. I called them back out several times and they always gave me excuses for the problems without fixing anything. Even now I still have to stand up on a step stool and step on the window just to push the window down far enough to lock them. I even called Pella about the problem but since I bought them from an independent installer, they weren't under Pella's warranty. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. Pella window came out to install new windows in a different part of the house last week. While he was here giving me an estimate I mentioned my bad experience in the past and after looking at the work that had been done before, he could not believe the terrible work that had been done. As for the claim that Olsen Windows had not completed work for me, considering the lack of quality I would not be surprised that they denied being associated with me or my home. However, I would be more than happy to remind them of the 9 window job they completed at my house. After years of attempts and offers for them to do the job right, they simply ignored me.

The crew was very friendly, professional and fast. They cleaned up after themselves and took away all old materials.

First day rained out. Next day Olsen was there on time. The job was done in 3 1/2 hours. They cleaned up. As the 2 men worked, the cold weather was moving in (November 4). They were fast, efficient, and professional.

The service man for this company was very professional. He was efficient and prompt. This companies service was great. The cost of this service was included in the price of the new addition we put on so there was no separate fee for this.

The price was over $40,000. We had many quotes, and these guys were not hard sellers. We know we made the best choice.
