"Overall very happy with our experience with 4Ever Remodeling. They took our completely unfinished 1920s basement and created an in-law suite with extra-large bath. They were great at handling the City of Chicago permit process, which was one of my biggest concerns. Work included: Rebuilding basement stairs (sturdiest stairs I've ever seen). Adding a full bath with jetted tub, two-person shower, tile, all new plumbing including ejector pump. New exterior windows to comply with egress codes (really impressed with the exterior brickwork - you can't tell at all that any changes were made. They matched the grout and design perfectly). Installation of a large wet bar with dishwasher, shelving, quartz counters and cabinetry. Cabinets are very high quality. HVAC for basement and they extended the AC throughout first floor as well. Lighting, flooring, drywall, insulation etc. Highlights: Particularly impressed with their carpenter who did gorgeous, perfectly aligned work. Their designer, Magda was very helpful in guiding us and helping make selections (we've never done a project anywhere near this scope before). Communication was very clear and responsive. Workspace was immaculate at the end of every day. As with any project of this size there were a few nits: Their electrical team was slow to address a few concerns the inspector had and they disabled an outlet on the first floor. Granted, they were given an absolute trash mess of wiring to start out with. Also, the bathroom painter did not cover the tub when painting the ceiling, and I had to spend some time scraping flecks of paint off with a credit card. Those minor issues aside, I feel confident the project was done right, everyone that sees it absolutely gushes about the result, and I'm jealous that my in-law kitchen and bath are nicer than my own on our first floor! I'd definitely use 4Ever again (and in fact are considering a second project right now)."

"Daniel is a perfectionist and an artist! He dealt with some real challenges in completely demolishing and remodeling our master and guest bathrooms in our old house! Especially in our guest bathroom, which is on a slab; he had to dig out the concrete, to expose a deteriorated pipe and replace it, to solve a leaking issue; had to deal with old walls that were not straight, crooked soffit, non-standard, old carpentry etc! Daniel does not cut corners and makes sure the job is done right. Every detail was perfect and I have my dream bathrooms!!! However, his skills in communicating scheduling could be improved. Nonetheless, we hired him to do our guest bath, after he did our master bath! He did an excellent job of communicating various choices, along the way for both projects and I seemed to always agree with his choice!"

The were extremely helpful providing design recommendations, quick to complete the project, worked cleanly/neatly throughout the project (no dust and debris anywhere), and were easy to work with. And, their price was the best of the three contractors I talked to. I would highly recommend John and his team. Our shower looks incredible, thanks to John’s quality work. "Ron and his crew took twice as long as quoted on my project which was a simple shower installation. When they said they were done, I found multiple mistakes. They used wood screws to secure a shower door frame and failed to caulk any of the joints. They also left a ton of damage to my walls that I had to call them back to repair and repaint. To aid with entry to my building, I loaned them a set of spare keys, which they forgot to bring and had to return on a separate trip. After I submitted the final payment, I found that they neglected to secure the button sill of the shower door at all and it simply slid out of place. I sent Ron a message asking for a return of my payment and he has been silent. Amateur work, no attention to detail, carelessness. Don't hire these guys for your project, hire professionals"

"We hired URB to repair and restore our basement after a small flood. The new tile floor is perfection! All of the work is top-notch. The price was reasonable, and the workmen were punctual, polite, respectful, and so tidy. I would use URB in the future for any other remodeling needs that might arise."
