The Semper Fi workers were very neat. The tree that had to be removed extended over my neighbor's garage and driveway. Tree removal process produced a lot of sawdust and I had assumed I would need to go next door and sweep up afterwards. But when the Semper Fi workers left, the roof of the neighbor's garage and the driveway were spotless. I was left with a very nice pile of mulch. I was very pleased.

Semper Fi has been our Lawn Service and Yard Maintenance provider for the past couple years. Thanks to Semper Fi, our yard is the best looking in our neighborhood!

On time for appt., took solid notes, made recommendations and hand delivered quote to my physical mailbox. Follow-up thank you note received a few days following quote. Same day return phone call when I left a message. Very professional and responsive. Matches other reviews I read prior to calling them. Would definitely recommend. I am working with Rudy. Work has now been completed and to my high standards. Quality and attention to detail is top notch. Three employees on site for the entire day. Every employee has been personable and responsive. Owner stopped to introduce himself and check on status of project. Rudy made another stop after workers had gone for the day. Significant amount of work for a fair price. Another thank you note received after work completed.

Robert was very quick to come out and give us an estimate. I was also floored to receive a thank your letter, even before we agreed to have them come out! Due to our own schedule, we couldn't have them come out to do the work until July. They did a very clean and quality job, which is what I really wanted after seeing the mess our neighbors were left with after they got mulch from another provider. My only complaint is that I had to follow up three times to get a time of delivery/installation after I signed and returned the quote.

Based on all the glowing reviews this company has, I hate to be the first to go against the grain, but I also feel the need to be honest with the rest of the reviewing community here. We called 3 different landscapers to get an estimate on the work we wanted done. One never returned our phone call, the second never showed up for our estimate appointment; Robert was the only one of the three who returned our call promptly and showed up for an estimate not only on time, but early. I had explained over the phone the basics of what we needed done, and we went over everything in detail as we walked around the yard. He made very few comments and no suggestions, which was not what I expected based on previous reviews, but that didn't really bother me. He worked up an estimate pretty quickly, I agreed to it, and he said they'd be out in about 2-3 weeks. 2 weeks went by, no phone call. 3 weeks, no phone call. At the 3-week mark, we called and left a message (on a Friday) and our call was returned on Monday. Said they'd be out by the end of the week. They did not show up that week, nor did we get a phone call. The following week, more than 4 weeks after being told "2 to 3 weeks" Robert called in the morning to say they'd be over to do the work that afternoon. It was more than slightly inconvenient, but we really wanted to get this done so I agreed that would be fine. Robert came out with the crew, we went over everything again (I admit I was a bit distracted as it was a hectic day so I didn't get specific about a few things) and he did make a couple of suggestions about shaping one of the flower beds, tree rings, etc that I liked. We had a lot of weeds growing up in between the pavers on the driveway and patio, and I had asked that those be removed (weeded) and treated to prevent regrowth. Well, that didn't happen. They just sprayed (so they said) so the weeds were still there when they left. We asked that all the old mulch be removed, along with other debris around and under our deck, but this wasn't fully completed. Most of the mulch was removed but there were still lots of bits and pieces. Nothing else was touched. We didn't really notice this till after Robert and the crew left, unfortunately. There were several little things that weren't done the way I wanted, but those were little picky things compared to the big problems. The flower beds were not shaped the way I'd asked, but when I checked the estimate again I noticed that there weren't any notations about that. I was too busy (not even home for most of the afternoon) to observe the work being done, and once the sod was removed.... well, I wasn't going to throw a fit at the workers when it wasn't their fault. I'd told Robert exactly what I wanted, but since that was several weeks prior to the work being done, he'd obviously forgotten. And he wasn't there while it was being done, either. My big beef was that I very specifically told Robert what type of MATURE bushes/shrubs I wanted planted. I described exactly what height and width I wanted, as well as the specific genus. What we got were young shrubs/bushes which will take quite a few years to provide the screening I'd very clearly told him we wanted. Yes, they will reach that size eventually, but that does us no good now. It was pointed out that the price on the estimate was for juvenile plants, and that fully mature bushes would have been far more expensive. Maybe I should have known that, but since I'd been very clear about what I wanted, the price being too low did not register with me. Our other major problem was that although they allegedly sprayed the weeds on the patio, and also sprayed weed preventor on the flower beds, there was no evidence of it. The weeds already growing didn't even wilt a little, and in fact got much worse.The newly created flower beds turned into huge weed beds nearly overnight.So maybe they sprayed the wrong stuff, who knows. Not everything that had been discussed was completed, but we were still charged the full estimate amount. I didn't argue over it as I was happy to finally get some of these things done. Next time, I will go over an estimate more carefully to be certain everything discussed is actually on there, itemized, and entitles me to that work for that price. Robert did do a once-over with me before leaving, but at that time I did not know that the weeds hadn't been killed so I didn't mention that. I was unhappy they hadn't been pulled up and carted out of there but again, the estimate only said "spray weeds" when I know I'd told him I wanted them all GONE. To me, that does not mean kill them and leave them there for the customer to clean up (I don't hire landscapers so that I can finish their work for them later, sorry) but as it turned out, not one weed was killed anyway. I have since spent my own time pulling all the weeds up by hand and then sprayed the area with weed killer from Home Depot. The weeds have not returned since then. What really surprised me the most about this experience is that Robert repeatedly asked how we'd found his company (here, of course), and twice requested that we leave a review here. I guess he thought we should be happy with a half-hearted effort. But I would have been happier had he told us that it was too small of a job for them and instead referred someone else who would have appreciated the work and put more effort into it. Our overall impression is that we were too small of a small job for this company, and got treated as such. Other companies couldn't even be bothered to show up or call us back, though, so maybe next time we want to hire a landscaper we should wait until we have pricier work to offer.

They were good. It took a while for them to come out, though; I think they were very busy. Once they came out, they did the job quickly. The workers did a good job.

I had a very good experience with them. Overall the job was wonderful. I give them an A on everything.

I cannot say enough good things about Semper Fi and their professionalism. I contacted them for an estimate and got a call back from Rudy within 24 hours. He came out a couple of days later to give me an estimate. He was on time and very professional. I walked the property with him, explained what we wanted and he wrote up a detailed proposal with a bottom line that we though was very reasonable. We have a LOT of planter beds and tree rings which requires a LOT of mulch (18 yards to be exact). We didn't mulch at all last year so the beds were in pretty bad shape. A few days after the estimate we received a thank you note from Semper Fi, thanking us for giving them the opportunity to provide an estimate. I was blown away. I've never had that happen with ANY contractor I've hired before. After reviewing other estimates, we decided to hire Semper Fi to do the work. I faxed the signed proposal back and was contacted within 24 hours and told that they would be adding us to the calendar and would call a couple of days before they'd be out. Within 2 weeks Rudy called and said they'd be out to do the work that week. However, they got delayed by a few days. He called back and apologized and let me know they'd be delayed so I wasn't left wondering. Again, I was very impressed with this professionalism. The day they came out they arrived bright and early with a full crew. Rudy came out to explain exactly what needed to be done. They drew out all the bed edges with landscape paint and had me approve them all before they started digging. They had me approve the shape of the new planter bed they were creating. Honestly, the crew worked their butts off. I was extremely impressed with how hard they worked and how well they worked together. Everything was streamlined, no time was wasted, and the end result looks amazing. I couldn't be happier. They even managed to make our arborvitae (which I was ready to cut down) look attractive. They arrived around 8:30am and were done by early afternoon. And 2 days after they finished the job I got another thank you note from Semper Fi. Excellent. I've recommended them to everyone I know.

Robert was great from the estimate stage through the work stage. We originally had about $3000 of work quoted, but decided to move. Robert was still willing to do the smaller jobs that we needed done, and in the time frame he quoted. His team worked well, quickly, and cleaned up nicely afterwards. The bushes look great, and really improved the home's curb appeal. We're planning to work with Robert as we build our new home too.

This is an amazing company. Having used many contractors for various updates on our home, Semper Fi is by far the absolute Best! Their trucks were immaculate. The uniformed workers were immaculate. Robert and his crew were so professional, courteous and respectful of our home. Our yard was so beautiful when they left..everything was so clean it looked as if they were never here. I have been known to be quite particular. They were beyond my expectations. Semper Fi has be be the best contractor we have used to date. I will call them again..(and already have:) to do our outside work. You will not be disappointed if you do the same!

Things started out ok as they did show up when they said they would to do the estimate, and returned it quickly. After I called back to agree to the work was when things started to go poorly. They never answer their phone and if you call, you will be called back with the number you made the call with, not the number you leave in your message. Eventually they left me a message that we were "on the schedule". What exactly does that mean? After a few more left messages, I finally got ahold of someone who returned a call. They said they would arrive tommorow. Nobody showed up tommorow. In fact, nobody showed up for almost another week, after I finally made a final phone call to show up or don't bother. Throughout "being on the schedule", no status or phone calls were given unless I made one (or two) and left messages. The service was performed and that was it. I did not receive any instructions or follow-up information. I have a bunch of holes in my yard and seed everywhere. I do not know if I am supposed to water, not water, stay off it, mow it, don't mow it, etc. Maybe the service was ok or good, but I wouldn't know because nobody talked to me about it. Notice the theme throughout; lack of communication.

We have used them a couple times, Robert is wonderful. We have recommended them to our neighbors, and they have done work for them as well.

My family and I recently moved into a new home on 1.5 acres. The property had been vacant for over a year and had a number of areas that needed attention. I spent a number of weeks working on pulling weeds and laying mulch, but there was just too much to get done before winter. I had ordered an additional 44 bags of mulch and just didn't have the time to lay it. I called Semper Fi and received immediate response. Robert was out the following day to walk the property and provide me a quote. Being a new homeowner, I explained my short term and long term goals for the landscaping. My immediate plans were to simply "clean up" all of the landscaping and get mulch layed before winter. Long term, I wanted to plant a tree in one of the islands in the yard and prep all of the areas to work in stone over the next few years. I assumed that my limited budget wasn't going to stretch far enough to accomplish all that I wanted. Robert assured me that we could work with what I had and take on parts of the overall plan if need be. I received a quote the following evening and was pleasantly surprised that my budget was going to cover everything we had discussed, including the delivery and installation of the new Maple. Semper Fi further exceeded my expectations by fitting our project in that same week. It certainly was nice coming home and seeing all of my landscaping completed and looking great. All of the areas we discussed were weeded and cleaned as I had directed. The mulch (which I had purchased separately) was sufficient enough to cover all of the areas. The rings around the trees in the front yard were well done, and the maple tree looks as if it was there when we moved in. Long story short, Semper Fi came and executed the job as they agreed they would. They were very professional and I would absolutely use them again for jobs down the road. I've already referred them to a co-worker who needed some landscaping done on a new property.

I ended up going with another vendor for cost reasons, but wanted to post a review because Semper Fi was so professional. They were timely in returning my call and coming out for the estimate. The gentleman who came out to discuss the job was very knowledgeable about landscaping, what types of plants would look best, how to arrgange them, how we could re-use the existing rock, etc. I also appreciate that he wrote up the estimate on-site. I will definitely call them first for our next project. The only down-side is that I didn't hear back from them on what the additional rock would cost, if it was needed. I was on a tight budget, so it was important that I knew all possible costs upfront. I noticed several days later (after making my decision) that he had written my cell phone number incorrectly on the estimate form - it was just 1 digit off. Because they are so professional, I suspect that he may have tried to call & couldn't reach me. I will call them again for future jobs (and double check my contact info on his estimate).

Robert was very professional and responsive. He was far more knowledgeable then the other estimates I received. His crew worked very hard and my yard looks great! I am thinking about calling them again to clean up some more areas next year.

My husband and I had just purchased a short-sale home and once we moved in, we saw just how bad the lawn was. There were weeds everywhere and I do mean everywhere. We knew that we were in dire need of help to get it cleaned up. After speaking to Robert, we scheduled an appointment for which he was punctual. He asked me in detail what I was looking for and wanted. He walked with us throughout the front and backyard and gave us advice on recommendations on what should be done. Some of those things saved us money because he said it wasn't necessary. His crew came on their scheduled day and worked for hours until late in the day. They cleaned up everything and the difference was amazing. I realized though that they did not remove the rose plants, but the very next morning, I received a call from Robert asking if everything was done to my specifications. I told him about the rose plants and he apologized and said he'd stop by that evening to remove all of them. At this time I was out of town and coming back, everything was gone. A few days after paying him for his services, he sent a thank you card to us in the mail thanking us. That was a very unexpected gesture and very nice. I will definitely hire them again for their excellent work and professionalism.

Rudy and the crew came out to do the job. They were professional and worked extremley hard to make the finished product look great. New neighbors commented on how good it looked. Would recommend them and use them again!

Robert was excellent to work with. He was able to provide several planting options and designs (we wanted something very simple). He promptly provided several quotes and was able to schedule the work 2-3 weeks after we agreed on the final work. He and his workers promptly arrived in the morning, worked literally all day, and completed everything in one day. Robert was able to coordinate delivery of all the material (mulch, stones, plants, etc.) to arrive throughout the day as needed. They did an excellent job in edging all the bed and cleaned up after they finished so that it didn't even look like they were here.

. Robert the owner came to our house. He is very professional. He has some outstanding ideas, offering ideas to us. He is sales man too. But we feel he is very honest. He was very upfront with us on why he would do things differently with us that the first guy. He met us at the company where he picks up his material. He made a special trip down there one evening. He showed us all the different materials and shared some of the ideas with us .We came up with this additional plan and we are very happy. He then finalised the quote. He came back to our home sat with us, and went through it we negotiated a deal with us. He has been very good. My husband called him several times as we had to get another drawing since the association needs to get a permit. Robert has been very accessible. He returns the calls and has helped us tremendously. He will be starting the work in a week or so. He is very nice guy and I am sure he will do a good job. He even had a portfolio even that he showed us. He gave us references. He was very professional. The quote is for $12500. His professionalism stands out. He was prompt, he was very courteous. He offered us ideas. It was not just doing certain work for us. He gave us some ideas, and some inputs. He was very knowledgeable. He knew his stuff. He knew the different types of bricks, different types of sand things like that. He is very honest. He is young and his reputation is on the line. He is proud of the stuff he does. He has got an interest in designing things that will fit your lifestyle and your budget. He puts a little bit of himself in everything he does. One of those days he came to our house, it was one of those 90+ days with 99% humidity, and he came to our house and he came after work. But he came after he had showered, and he had changed clothes. He was not coming in out of the dirt, whereas the other guy had. He was coming right from the job. But Robert had taken the time to go home take his portfolio, cleanup. Again Robert was very professional, very polite. We will contact them for a quote in the future.

Doing a great job - arriving same day each week & lawn looks nice

Of the three landscaping companies we contacted, Semper Fi was by far the most professional. Robert was responsive, came over the next day to estimate the work, and best of all - *listened* to what we wanted. His quotation was easy to follow. We decided to do the work ourselves to save money, but he would have definitely been our first choice if we went with a landscaper.

I was happy with their work. I wasn’t here when they came. The only thing that stuck out is that they came back when it wasn’t sticking out and it was gone. I would use them again in the future.

Their quality of work exceed my expectation and very detailed with their quaility of work. I strongly recommend them for any landscape & yard work.

We bought a home this spring and the landscaping had not been touched in a year. I called Semper Fi and set an appointment for the same week. Robert called to say he would be a few minutes late due to traffic. He was very professional and submitted a quotation for cleaning up the weeds, trimming, light grading, mulching, and mowing. He communicated that he was running behind a couple weeks on landscaping due to the wet spring. He kept the yard mowed and completed the landscaping work per schedule. We had him pull several old half dead shrubs as well. It looks great.
