Dan came out after I called about what I thought was a dishwasher leaking through into the basement. He determined it wasn't the dishwasher, and then a considerable amount of time helping me figure out where the leak was coming from, which ended up being something totally unrelated. After that he talked with me about ways to help get my dishes cleaner. He noticed a lot of calcification in my dishwasher and gave me three bottles of dishwasher cleaner to get rid of the calcification. I could go on and on about everything we discussed and his recommendations, but bottom line, Dan was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. I also appreciate the fact that he took his shoes off at the front door without asking, which is becoming less and less common these days. I would definitely use him again in the future.
Description of Work: Checked dishwasher for leak; helped determine cause of leak in basement; discussed cleaning/calcification problems with dishwasher.

The icemaker on our 3-year old fridge started making only ice chips, then earlier this week stopped making anything. We called Leonardi about 8:30 in the morning and the responsiveness was excellent. They were very professional and courteous on the phone and promised they'd check with their technicians to see if someone could come by that day, which they thought was probably possible. They called back a few minutes later to say they were on their way already! Dan showed up at our door, very polite and professional. He removed the icemaker and looked it over, then he checked on the water piping and valve directing water to our freezer. He quickly determined that our piping and valve were corroded resulting in only a trickle of water to the icemaker, and with such low pressure the line into the icemaker had frozen. (The fridge is just a few years old but the piping and valve go back many more years.) He chipped the ice out of the line running into the icemaker and cleared it, grabbed a $10 valve from his truck, and replaced the valve and tubing under our kitchen sink, and presto -- the icemaker was back in business again, working perfectly! We were very impressed with Leonardi's professionalism, courtesy, caring, and efficiency and recommend them highly. We'd heard really good things about them over the years but this was our first experience with them. We will definitely look at them for new appliance needs in the future and for appliance servicing.

Outstanding service. Appliance was only weeks beyond 1 year warranty and technician suggested I contact the manufacturer. After a little back and forth with the manufacturer I was able to have the part replaced without cost and I only had to pay for labor. Once the manufacturer agreed, the technician was available to return and complete the repair quickly. I never would have called had the tech not suggested it. I wish I'd know about Leonardi's the past 30 years I've been living in the area.

Dan did an outstanding job. He knew exactly what to test for in our warm refrigerator. It took him no more than 7 minutes to identify the defrost thermostat was the problem. His repair work took 15 minutes. Dan explained what he was doing during is repair work. I was amazed how quickly he worked: from removal of the freezer panel evaporator coil panel, coil defrosting, defrost thermostat removal & replacement and freezer panel replacement. What a joy to watch him work! Yes, of course, professional & courteous too ! Hire Leonardi to fix your appliances!

We were fully resigned to having a new garbage disposal and a new ice maker installed and were figuring a bill of about $600.00 for the two. Dan started with the garbage disposal, asking if we had tried the re-set button. We had and showed him what it was doing-nothing. He proceeded to take a funky z shaped allen wrench out of his tool kit and said and quot;watch thisand quot;. He used the wrench on the bottom of the disposal, wiggled it back and forth and when it moved well, looked down in the disposal from the top and pulled out a tiny piece of bone which had become wedged in it, locking it up. This piece was about 1/4 the size of my little finger nail (maybe 1/4 in by 1/8 in). I had already cleaned out the disposal and run my hand all around the inside feeling for anything that might have jammed it, and found nothing. Then he handed me the allen wrench and said and quot; Here, you keep this. I've got plenty. Put it somewhere that you'll be able to find it the next time you need it.and quot; Problem # 1 solved. He then asked what the problem was with the ice maker. We told him it had been malfunctioning for years (fridge was about 12 years old). It had been only giving 1 or 2 ice cubes at a time, frequently jamming up with the first cube on the right and then we'd have to work to free that first cube. It hadn't been filling up the bin totally in months. We were going in, freeing up the single cube, resetting the ice maker, etc for about 6 months and finally had been making ice cubes in trays bypassing the ice maker all together-arghhhh!). He also checked the water flow on the water dispenser which had been weak for years as well, but which we just dealt with (slowly). He pulled out the filter to see if that was the problem, but no change to water flow. He pulled out the one stuck cube and asked where the tap into the water was. We went into the basement, where he explained to me that the tap gets corroded over time and the way to correct it is to screw in the tap further (the way it was originally installed), then back the tap out to allow water to flow again. That breaks loose the corrosion and should fix the problem. We went upstairs and, voila', the water flow was back to normal. He explained that the ice maker was not getting enough water to make a full load of cubes and that was the problem. He said if it happened again, we should be able to repeat the procedure that he just showed me and it should correct again. During this process, he noticed that the refrigerator side (it's a side by side unit) was not pulling itself closed. If you didn't push it all the way closed, it would stay partly open. He said and quot;I can fix this if you'd likeand quot;. Our original repair service (years ago, prior to beginning to use Leonardi's, had told us it would cost a whole bunch to fix that as it required a new hinge, so we just dealt with it and made sure we shut the door completely (usually). So he ordered the part (a whopping $5.00) and came out and installed it. The part number was the same but it had been slightly changed, so he altered it to fit and the door now closes properly. Problem # 2 and 3 fixed. The charge for all of this was under $100.00. And this is the reason we love this place! They are ethical, show up promptly, do an excellent job and are NOT out to just make money. This is not the first time we've used them but maybe the 7th or 8th time in less than 5 years. They are ALWAYS this way! What more could you ask?

Dan arrived at approximately 11am (8am - 1pm) window to repair our dishwasher that was not working properly. I had previously called and spoken to the scheduler on the phone about the problem and described what the issue was. The dishwasher was not cleaning the dishes thoroughly, especially on the top rack. When Dan arrived, I was on the phone, so I didnt have the ability to tell him what was wrong with the dishwasher, but that didnt stop him from getting started. He already had the details from when I called in.By the time I got off the phone, about 15 minutes later, he already had the problem isolated and fixed. In addition, he had recommended fixing a squeak in the door that my wife had been complaining about. The fix cost about $25 for the part and now the dishwasher is working like new again and the wife is happy. Dan was professional and I would highly recommend him in the future.

Our refrigerator quit and defrosted overnight. My wife and I assumed that this was a compressor issue and probably the end of the line for our frig. A call to Leonardi (on a Saturday morning) yielded a very positive response. The owner of Leonardi's came to our house within 60 minutes and quickly diagnosed the problem to a loose soldering point on the circuit board. Within minutes our GE refrigerator was running.

This company is awesome. Dan, the owner, came out to diagnose the issue. Knew what it was right away after another company couldn't figure it out after 2 appointments. He was early and super nice. Told us he could either replace the compressor or we could replace the entire unit. Didn't pressure us to do one or the other. We visited their store and decided to replace the compressor because we couldn't afford to replace what we currently have. Came out to replace the compressor and everything went well. Dan is really nice and professional. Had a great experience working with him and would definitely call them again. I'm sure we will since our house is 10 years old and everything is starting to break!

Leonardi's representative arrived at the expected time this morning and even though I had to pay a bit extra ($20.00) for Saturday service, I was pleased that they were able to provide same day service. The representative showed me how to access the area of my machine should the problem ever happen again, and explained very clearly what he was looking for in the drain tube (something plugging up the tube). The water drained into a pail and nothing was stuck in the tube. The pump was the problem (the blade was broken off) and he had a replacement. The pump was replaced (about 10 minutes) and I am back in business! He also took a bit a time to answer my question about front loaders vs top loading machines (in his opinion, children and lots of laundry=front loaders, but with with just a two-person family now, top loaders are less expensive to buy and repair). All good to know! I am very satisfied and will go back to Leonardi Appliance for my appliance and service needs!

Everything was professional, courteous and prompt. Service is exemplary. Technician (I think the owner) came to repair washer. My bad luck -- the darn machine stopped making the squeaking noises promoting need for service. Technician stayed a long time to see if the noise would start up. My luck, it didn't. I was told that issue couldn't be diagnosed let alone repaired but if anything happened again to call right away. I was disappointed that I (fairly) paid for this call to have this as outcome. Well! Two days later, the machine squeaked like a mouse laboratory. I video taped this. Called Leonardis. Same tech (ON A SATURDAY, NONETHELESS ,) said sure, send the video. Even gave me email and cell phone to email and text video. Within a half hour he called and told us that this is a major bearing issue that is known by the manufacturer. He guided us for what to say and do when we called manufacturer about the problem, thinking that the issue we have is not caused by misuse or use, but simply a design type flaw that manufacturer should fix without cost to us. In my opinion, this service by leonardi was well more than 109.00. He spent at least two hours In travel, time at my house, and on phone and email with me on a Saturday afternoon. We are committed customers now , and we wanted to share these details for others to see how responsive and dedicated Leonardis was to us. We will be back.

As usual, they were great. The root cause was the handle on the door was only being held on by 1 screw so it was not making a connection so the control panel wouldn't start. This dishwasher has been a pain since we first got it. We've had to have the handle replaced 4 times in 8 years. The repairs done by another service the first 2 times it broke took weeks to finish as they couldn't seem to get the part quickly. Once we changed to Leonardis, at least we were not out of the service of our dishwasher for weeks at a time. The control panel is held on by screws going into plastic which breaks. The handle movement on opening and closing the door adds increased strain. This time, we were down to one screw holding the entire panel in place. The Leonardis repair man got it to work but showed us the broken plastic where there was nothing to hold the panel securely, so we just decided to order a new panel to resolve this problem in a more permanent way. He managed to get it running while we waited for the part to come in (5 working days), then came back and replaced the control panel totally. Hopefully, we can get a few more years out of this thing. Thank goodness for Leonardis! They are professional and prompt and stand behind their service and products

First of all, the phone was answered quickly and professionally. Secondly, they got a repairman out on the same day I called for help. Most importantly, the repairman came within the timeframe promised; was very professional; quickly diagnosed the problem; had the necessary parts to repair my refrigerator/freezer; explained what went wrong in easy to understand terms; told me what to watch for in the future if the problem recurs; was neat and tidy throughout his work; and completed the repair and accepted payment (which I felt was totally reasonable) all within 30-45 minutes. I'd use this company again in a heartbeat.

Leonardi Appliance exceeded my expectations. History: About a week ago water was dripping on the floor from the icemaker. We had assumed that the door had not been closed tightly. Last night the ice cream was softer than usual; we assumed again (incorrectly) that a package was blocking the door from closing tightly. This morning when we opened the door it was warm air that was blowing out. I signed onto Angie’s List, found Leonardi Appliance and called. The office coordinator patched me through to their repairman who was working closest to my home and I described the situation to him. He was just finishing his prior job and arrived quickly with a part in hand. He carefully pulled the refrigerator out and showed me the broken relay and explained to me why the cooling had been intermittent. He replaced the relay and even asked for wet paper towels so he could clean up the dust bunnies behind the refrigerator. Leonardi Appliance’s repairman then explained how to and cleaned the condenser coils on the front of the refrigerator. He was very professional and courteous and I would recommend Leonardi Appliance.

My 20 year old electric range / oven broke down. The manufacturer no longer made the part needed for the repair. Leonardi's checked multiple sources for the part without success, and then gave me options for the appliance replacement. This had to be done quickly as we were hosting a baby shower within four days. Leonardi's had an acceptable replacement model available, in the right color, and it was delivered with set-up as promised the morning before the baby shower. They also removed the old appliance. Everything went as planned and it was a very stress-free experience. I would definitely use this business again for appliance needs. They were responsive, polite, and did not charge me for the initial assessment of the problem after I decided to purchase the replacement appliance from them. I later checked on comparable prices and found the Leonardi's quote to be competitive. With the price and outstanding service I thought the whole experience was very satisfactory.
Description of Work: Assessed problem with old range / oven. Provided and installed new range / oven. Removed old appliance as part of the deal.
