+ -1 moreFIrst of all Dave is the sweetest guy. He is always very polite and friendly. I am always very comfortable when talking with him and thats important for a stay at home mom of two! Dave came in and looked around the house, focusing on the areas where he thought they box elders and spiders were coming in from. He did small treatments inside but focused mainly outside. He gave us a couple easy fixes ( Like moving logs away from the home) and then did the spray treatment. Our home is backed up to a field so I did have to have him come back in between appointments. It was one phone call and they were back out within a couple of days at no charge. Honestly, from the moment you call to the end of service everyone I have talked with has been great and easy to speak with.
Description of Work: We are backed up to a field. We get tons of bugs! Spiders and box elders. They came and sprayed.

Unfortunately I was not home when they arrived so I can't give a personal grade, but they reported that they came out, sprayed the affected area. I have not seen any Yellowjackets to date, although the weather was changing, and is colder now. I don't really know if they treated any other areas.

+ -1 moreIt went excellent. I contacted Chem-wise about 2 weeks prior to when I wanted the service done. My first contact with the Chem-wise was wonderful. The lady who answered the phone provided all the information I wanted and answered all my questions, and set up the appointment. The day of the appointment the technician showed up early, explained the whole process, what the chemicals were and what they were used to treat, what he would be doing, what his recommendations were, when he was done he went over the complete receipt and again explained the chemicals. We will be having them do our Spring pest control. My experience with Chem-wise was great from the beginning and I highly recommend.

+ -1 moreIt went very well and felt very comfortable with the tech who came out to do the work. Explained every detail - the why, where, how mice and creepy spiders come into the home and what was going to be done to get rid of them.
Description of Work: This was our first visit and the tech came in, explained everything in detail and really went into depth with the system and what was going to happen. We also have 2 dogs who occasionally get into things they are not supposed to and he explained the product ingredients and what would happen if our dogs were to find one of the bait traps. We felt very comfortable with this service and can't wait until the next visit when we see where these silly mice hide and find their way around our basement so we can sleep with ease.

+ -1 moreCalled them with a problem with a wasp nest. The wasps had gotten under the siding of my townhome and into the wall and were coming in the house. As I am allergic to their stings it was an uncomfortable situation. They were not able to come the day I called, but made an appointment for three days later on Saturday. The technician showed up promptly at 11:00 AM for the appointment. We discussed the situation, he did his work and within two days no more wasps. Other than living an extra three days with the problem all went very well.

Description of Work: I called this company for assistance removing some what appeared to be larvae from my kitchen ceiling that appeared when I returned from a week's vacation. In the late summer/early fall I had some tiny moths, and I assumed that these were related to that. When the moths were here, I cleaned my cupboards and packaged all my foods so the moths could not get at it, and I hadn't seen any for a while before I left. When I explained the situation, the woman on the phone told me they could come out and take a look but they probably wouldn't be able to help me, then proceeded to tell me I needed to do all the things I already had done. When I asked how I was supposed to get rid of the existing larvae, she told me to wipe them off, and reiterated to do all the things I had already done (which included wiping them off with a broom, as my ceilings are 10' and I'm only 5'8" - the larvae returned the next morning). I'm no spring chicken and I live alone, so I don't want to be crawling around on my counters trying to pick 1" larvae off the ceiling behind the cabinets with crown molding that's not particularly well attached. I would have happily paid for someone to come and do it for me. Too bad. They missed out on an easy opportunity to make some money.

+ -1 moreI have never written a review, anywhere., but Chem-Wise deserves one. Perfect, above and beyond, exceeded expectations -- those words cannot even describe how amazing these people are. I had two units in an apartment building that were infested with bed bugs; the infestation was pretty severe because I had not been notified of the problem until it had spread. They inspected the entire building and treated the units. More than that, they continued to treat the units until everything was exterminated and clear of live activity. This took longer than the average, yet it was never an issue. They were responsive, professional, patient (even with my crazy tenants calling them) and willing to really partner with me to get the problem completely solved. The price was very fair, and never was there an issue with how long or how much they had to do. Never did they send me an additional bill or indicate that this was beyond the scope. Their committment was to resolve the problem with me and that's what they did. I'm sure there are other companies that will do a good job, these guys are the gold standard that can't be touched. Good luck!

+ -1 moreI left a message for them by phone and email after purchasing the abatement special on Angie's List. This was on a Thursday afternoon after my 8yo son was stung when he accidently stepped into an unknown nesting spot as we were doing yard work. I wasn't sure what kind of insect it was, but I knew we needed help immediately, as they were threatening anyone who approached our front porch. Without talking in person, they sent a someone to our house first thing Friday morning who immediately identified the culprits as yellowjackets, took care of it, and had me simply sign the invoice, since it was covered under the $95 contract I'd signed up for. He also took a look around the perimeter of the house, and took care of another nest that we hadn't even seen yet. And, he was a nice guy. That counts in my book. Based upon this one instance, alone, this is our new go-to pest control company. I highly recommend them.

We had just had a bad experience with another company that didn't get the results we were promised and Chem-wise was very understanding, reassuring and very informative. He told me to do my research (which I did) and make an informed decision. On the day of the treatment Jim explained and showed me what needed to be done. Although the price was higher than other companies, the advice Jim provided won my trust. All service providers should be this honest!

He stated any of the bees/wasps that would return to the nest would be killed by the repellent. Within 36 hours there were no bees/wasps flying around our front door.
