Chem-Wise Ecological Pest Management

We had a couple of wasps entering in the house, and we had to call them back out to retreat. Our real anxiety lies with what will happen in the spring.

Overall I'd give Chem Wise Eco Pest an A-/B+ yet will side on the A-. I expected some probing with a device or picking at an area to confirm if termites or carpenter ants were present to confirm specis. There is clearly something in the wall and I expected this inspection to tell me exactly what is in the wall concealed. I also expected a written report with photos or actual findings of the insects found rather than a general "OK" or not "OK". We were told there are no termites on the property inspected and were given a carbon copy pre-printed checklist. I guess this is adequate for what is needed at a house closing and was encouraged to take with. While a more formal report was not presented, I will trust the inspector as he (Alan) explained why he did not find any major evidence of termites or other forms of major insects or damage present. Perhaps once we buy the house and open up the walls, I will provide a follow up confirming what was found or not found. Again, I feel the inspector probably is correct on his non-invasive, non-destructive only visual observation of the basement, house, upper level and even the attic spaces. Very good experience overall. I'd use them again as Amber was helpful in working with me to set this up with her office. By mentioning Angie's List, she discounted their price which was nice for a first time customer.

Good, they showed up on tine and for the first time ever had no issues with wasp nests

The Chem-wise employees are always on time for appointments and take the time to ask about any concerns or areas that need special attention. We signed up for the same service for 2014 and by prepaying the entire year, received a discount.

I signed up for their 3 x's a year program. First visit I called them due to high spider activity and my cat bringing me a dead mouse in the new house I had just moved into. The first visit cost $120 and they gave a $20 discount for being Angie's List member. I look forward to the next visit in spring which will cost $79. I would definitely recommend them

I purchased a deal for a rodent/spider service, as we are having major trouble with mice in our home. When I called, they were able to get me an appointment very promptly. The man who came out was right on time and very thorough, setting traps around the home and explaining that they would return in two weeks to see what activity had occurred and attempt to seal the home as best they can. My two week appointment came on the coldest day of the January polar vortex, and I assumed they could cancel. When I called to confirm that they didn't need to brave the terrible weather, they said someone was already on the way and asked if that was ok. I said sure, and they were there right on time again. The technician checked the traps, and attempted to check around the outside of the house. Keep in mind that it was unsafe to be outside at this time, but it didn't stop him. He was unable to seal anything because of the snow piled up around the base of my house, and said I should have someone come out again after the snow abated, free of charge. I made an appointment when it seemed like the weather would allow, but got the flu and had to cancel. They were incredibly nice on the phone on this and every occasion I had to call. I finally was able to have them out this Monday, again I was able to make the appointment within 2-3 days of calling. The same technician came and he remembered the previous visit and location of the traps, which made it convenient for all of us. He had along a guy who seemed to be a trainee, who was also very professional, nice, and efficient. This time they were able to seal the holes they could find, and again he said the visit was included in my initial purchase. So we are talking 3 visits for $139, not bad in my book. We have seen a significant decrease in rodent activity, but they are not totally gone. I am hoping between the traps and the sealed holes, they will go away entirely, but if not, I will call Chem-wise right up and I am sure they will come out and be just as nice and professional as ever. I would be happy to pay extra if necessary, because I feel confident in their service. The fact that these mice are apparently impervious to every kind of trap, poison, and lack of accessible food is not their fault. I assume they escaped from a science lab, where they were trained to drive people to the brink of madness. And I know if anyone can get rid of them, Chem-wise can.

It turned out just fine. They were very attentive to the need of the situation because they had to come for a return visit to follow up and they were very informative and knowledgeable about how to explain to me if there were any issues.

I have never used an exterminator but thought this was the time. Chem Wise showed up as scheduled, listened to my concerns, and treated the building. The problem was still showing up so they came again, at no charge. The silverfish are now gone.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service and it worked out fine. They did a good job. They came in, checked everything and came back in in about 10 days to 2 weeks to double check to make sure it was still clear. We have not seen him since, but that was pretty much what we expected, so it was okay. They said they would come back too if we had a problem for, I think, up to a year. They were very courteous, professional and timely. I had no problems, whatsoever, that I know of. We did not have to wait for them to do the service.

It was very good. They had to come back a couple of times and that is what has been really good that they stayed at it until the problem was solved. I would recommend them however; we only communicated via email and it would have been better if they would have called me first just to confirm what the service was going to be and that they were coming out. We agreed but apparently, it was over an email.

Noticed the bees were multiplying; they do not sting but were a nuisance and damaging the wood in our sunroom. They came out did the treatments and We had no more carpenter bee issues (or wasp/bee/ hornets which also like to nest under the shaded wood overhang) after they came out and treated our wood. I'll use them again.

Chem-Wise Ecological Pest Management was fine. They came back a few weeks later. They had to leave traps set so they had to come back a couple of months later. They placed traps for mouse and they came back and said the mouse were gone. It was pretty basic service, I can't say anything amazing. They were fine. They set-up what they were supposed to, did their thing and left pretty quick. They had to come back and do a follow-up session.

They were able to come out shortly after I had purchased the big deal. Scheduling went well. They did the work on a rental property and the tenant was satisfied with the ending result.

It went well. The guy came by twice and he was very courteous. I don't have any complaints. It was turning cold and that was where we were concerned about the little critters and stuff coming in the house. It is a new house and it seems to have been going OK. He didn't recommend any more work to be done. I know they usually do, but he seemed like a very good and honest guy. If we saw anything that needed to be done in the future, then we would give him a call. Basically I didn't want to do anything where there were chemicals involved, because of our little kids.

It went well. The price only covered spraying the outside of the first floor which is where we had experienced problems. The wasps did not reappear this year. The seervice was reasonably priced and done well in a timely fashion. We will use this service again.

We hired them to remove a wasp nest inside the window under a bay window. We wanted to deal with them in a ecologically safe way. The first time they came, the nest was reduced, but not gone. They came back two more times before the problem was completely gone, but each time I contacted them, they were very courteous and responsive.

They installed mouse boxes and checked for presence of mice in our house. They returned two weeks later and found a few dead mice. They refilled the boxes and plan another return visit to check the boxes. They made a few observations on where they thought the mice were coming in.

I was unhappy with that. It was not at all what I was expecting. I understood they were going to be setting traps and removing mice and they did not do that. They basically confirmed that we have mice and I guess they drilled a couple of little holes but we still have mice there. They came back two weeks after I purchased the deal and confirmed that we had mice but we needed to have a handyman come out and repair the hole which I thought was what they were going to do. There were no additional charges beyond the big deal amount.

They applied the treatment as specified, the workers were professional and punctual, and they charged a good price. Ultimately, I would recommend them to others.

We found problems in basement (unfinished) where part of the insulation was torn and some mice debris were scattered. I called Chem-Wise, and they were able to get me scheduled right away. Steve came on time and was very professional. He checked all places and explained exactly what needed to get done. He found areas where the mice are coming in from. Traps were placed and sure enough, we found a couple of these rodents a week later. Steve again was back for the follow up and took care of the "openings" where these mice are coming in. There are no other mice found. I feel much better that we no longer have these "UNWANTED" visitors coming into my home.

It worked out well. They were very professional, punctual, and they gave me a lot of good information. I would definitely use them again.

Smooth and easy to schedule and work with. Succeeded in eliminating our occasional mouse problem. Very happy and will use them again.

It went very well the young man that came was a little early which was fine, he was very polite and extremely nice we. Did his job and left. I was very pleased. Marilyn Stark
