Chem-Wise Ecological Pest Management

Came early and did a nice job. Didn't get to much over-spray on the windows.

Nothing much to elaborate... just sprayed around the house and we were instructed to call them back if we see any bee/wasp/hornet activity.

They came promptly. They sprayed. So far the bees are gone.

The annoying aspect of this coupon is that it isn't worded clearly. Despite the "triennial" wording, the initial payment covers the first visit. They then put you on the schedule for two other visits (and will call you the week before to tell you their window) but you will have to pay an additional $79 for those subsequent visits. That said, compared to an annual plan at Rose or Andersen, the price is good, and you pay for 3 visits instead of 4, which makes more sense for homes without a lot of pest problems (in my case, one reason I didn't go with an annual program through Rose or Andersen was I've never had a winter pest issue and don't want an unneeded winter treatment, so this triennial program is better designed for my needs, even though the explanation of the pricing strikes me as somewhat deceptive). Having used Rose and Andersen, I found the service a bit less thorough (those providers tend to treat the whole house while they are out) but the technician was pleasant and treated exactly the areas I asked, so the key is to ask for all likely problem areas to be treated, and since I generally prefer not to have more toxic chemicals around than I need, the narrower focus could be seen as a positive. The advice to avoid future pest problems was in line with what I have been told previously and a good reminder. I didn't see a written explanation of the guaranty, but apparently, repeat service is included if the pests come back. All in all, at the moment I think this coupon was a good value for the service provided, though the actual test will be future pest problems.

The work went very quickly. I wish he would have told me to move my patio furniture first as my cushioning was down and I'm sure was sprayed. He did tell me that I shouldn't have pets outside for at least an hour, but I asked him if it was okay if I sat down on my patio and he was unsure. He thought I could, but it probably be best that I wait...so I wasn't sure if that was a yes or a no.

While I haven't had time to see if the application worked, my only complaint is that I was trying to schedule a time when I would be home for the service to be performed. They instead came out without my knowledge and performed the work. (Thus, I couldn't answer the punctuality and professionalism questions.) Luckily, I had no windows open as I have pets and live with an asthmatic, which are both a concern with any type of spraying around my home. If the application works I will definitely use them again.

Was surprised how quickly hornets can build a paper hive. A softball sized one went up above the sliding door leading from the house to the deck. An representative from Chem-Wise got here promptly at the designated time. He told us what he was going to do, and what we need to do after the spray. He went around the house and sprayed at the roof. Our 6 year old got a kick watching from the window. Especially after he sprayed the nest and knocked it down. He sprayed the entire house so they dont rebuild. So far so good. Learning about the warranty for the remainder of the year and the price was huge. Would use them again if one went up the following year.

Checked the perimeter of the house and plugged remaining holes. Provided great advice and was very helpful.

They were on time. Treated the yard for yellow jackets, which are a major problem in my neighborhood. Afterwards bees stopped coming in the house and the kids could play outside again.

The technician was very professional and accommodating. He explained the process clearly. The wasps and hornets and bees that infest my house's external vines began dropping like, well, flies... Since it's only yesterday that he came, I can't tell yet how long the treatment will last... But the overall service was excellent.

The man from Chem-Wise was prompt and on time. We explained our problem with the ants we had been seeing in our kitchen. He then told us they were coming in from the outside, and that's why he sprayed and put bait outside. The visit was fast, and very efficient.

Went well except the serviceman broke one of my marked sprinkler heads. The company promptly refunded the repair cost.

We used the $95 bee and wasp proofing deal. We had a problem with carpenter bees around our deck. The technician found the nest and we have not had any issues since (2 weeks).

Used it last year and again this year. The office is friendly.

Chem-Wise is AWESOME! I am suffering from an ant invasion, and nothing from the hardware store was taking them out. I searched Angie's List and found Chem-Wise out of Aurora. Scheduling a convenient appointment time was a breeze. Steve from Chem-Wise showed up on time, took the time to listen to my concerns and answered my questions, and basically talked me off the ledge while treating my property for ants. He found a couple of nests, treated the "ant highways" inside and out, all while being very respectful of my property (and of my hysteria!). I am signed up for their Tri-Annual Service and feel confident that I can put my annoying ant problem behind me. Thanks again, Steve from Chem-Wise! You saved me and are my new hero!

For the past 2- 3 weeks we were noticing quite a few very large and dangerous looking wasps outside our kitchen and living room windows. When the exterminator from Chem-Wise (James) arrived he immediately identified what we thought were wasps as carpenter bee's. He proceeded to spray our eaves and deck with "natural" bee repellant that he said would work itself into the hive and prevent future bee problems. He also thoroughly examined the underside of our deck to check for any bug infestations. Fortunately, they had not yet advanced to the stage where they were burrowing into our wood. Almost immediately we saw a marked decrease in the number of carpenter bee's flying about our home even though James mentioned that it could take 4 to 5 days before we noticed such results. Although he sprayed only 3 days ago the results so far have been excellent and have surpassed our expectations. Note: the work is guaranteed for 90 days at a minimum but I have the sense that I won't be calling Chem-Wise back for that problem this year. Important note: scheduling the work through Angie's List was quite easy and the $95.00 we paid was a special Angie's List DEAL that is hard to beat. Thanks Angie and Chem-Wise for a job well done!

They came out on time and sprayed all around the house and in the holes where the bees where flying in and out of. After that the bees died instantly and we haven't had a problem since. I would definitely use them again.

Appointment was set up in a timely fashion. They arrived at the right time and did their spraying. Haven't seen any wasps since. :)

They scheduled us quickly, came when we weren't home (which was known and alright with us as grandparents were home) and left a copy of the work that was done. We haven't seen any issues so far and I assume if we do they will come back out.

I have used this company for about 10 years and have never been disappointed. Problems we had were gone within 24 hours.
