Chem-Wise Ecological Pest Management

Cory arrived promptly at 8:00am which was a nice surprise since my window was between 8 and 10am. He was friendly and professional while he explained to me what he was going to do before he started. He got rid of the hornets that were trapped between my window and the screen, found the source of where they were coming from and sprayed accordingly. He also made some other recommendations to prevent future problems with other types of insects. He did a great job (no more hornets) and was a pleasure to speak to.

It worked great, we haven't seen any spiders or any mice since the treatment.

They did a good job. I got them through Angieslist special. I liked that they got rid of the mice. I tried some things on my own but it didn’t work. I needed someone who knew what they were doing to come in. They were very nice.

This company was great to work with from the phone conversation to set the appointment to the initial appointment, through the follow-up. They were very thorough, answered questions clearly and patiently. They worked efficiently and cleanly. I liked the service so much, I asked about annual maintenance. The price on that was so reasonable, I signed up on the spot. Now, two months later and I have seen no mice, spiders, or any bugs in my home-- not even in the basement!

We had a sugar ant problem in the kitchen, so I called Chem Wise. I was able to speak with someone on the phone for pricing, and I was able to schedule a service appt that was convenient to me. Having 3 small children and a dog in the house, I wanted to be sure whatever was used was safe. The service agent explained how the chemicals used worked and that they were guanteed to be safe. The ant bait material used was a clear gel so it was very inconspicuous, and a few days later I didn't see any ants. It worked exactly as he explained it would. I was very satisfied with the service overall.

In late April we noticed small ants invading our house. After unsuccessfully treating the problem on our own, we decided that it was time to call in a professional! We had used another pest control service several years ago and were dissatisfied with the experience so decided to look for a new service on Angie's list. Chem-Wise was highly recommended so we gave them a call. The phone center personnel were professional and informative and answered all of my questions. We scheduled a treatment. The service person arrived on time (in fact a bit early!) and thoroughly and efficiently completed the service. All of our ants are gone. I was extremely satisfied with this experience and highly recommend this company. They offer a quarterly service. We did not sign up for that but I am considering it.

First, let me say that their office staff was fantastic! I called frantic on Friday after finding out my neighbor had a mice and ant infestation. They were planning on bombing their home the following day. Of course I immediately thought the mice and ants would run to my house. After explaining the situation to the office staff, they eased my concerns and scheduled a technician to come out the very next morning. Even though my house was not in the technicians service area, he came out on time and was very professional. He put traps out and sprayed outside. They planned a follow up visit in two weeks to check the traps, which hopefully will be empty.

The service man came out to my house on time and was very professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. He found the places where the bees were congregating and sprayed those areas and other spots where they could gather. He walked me around the house and showed me everything that he did and he was even nice enough to show me where some fascia was coming off near my roof where bees and other living things could gather and an opening around my gas line that needed to be recaulked where bees or mice could enter the basement. How cool was that?! So far the bees have not come back, but if they do I can call Chem-Wise and they will spray again at no additional cost until the end of this year.

Noticed some wasps buzzing around outside and even getting into my home, so I decided it was time to just have them taken care of instead of trying to fight them as they appeared. I settled on Chem-Wise as they had great reviews (and a great coupon!). Setting up an appointment was easy, the service man arrived promptly, was very polite and did a thorough job, even knocking down the nests following spraying. As of this review, it's been a year since I've seen any hornets -- just saw my first couple yesterday following the heat we've had recently, and knew immediately who to call! Last year, I received a discounted rate for Chem-Wise's services, however, I was fully prepared to pay the full amount based on my previous satisfaction. After setting my appointment, I was informed that the Angie's List deal was still going, and invited to purchase my service using that, saving me $100. What awesome service! I'll definitely be calling them again next year for another wasp-blast.

They walked me through everything they did. They were very knowledgeable. I would use them again.

The technician that came to our house in 2011 also came this time around. He was friendly and informative, but no-nonsense in taking care of the services we requested. Once again the bees/wasps are almost non-existent so far this spring. There was been 100% success in getting rid of the spiders around my office! If we have any bug sightings (which we have not), we know Chem-Wise will come out, at no charge, to treat the problem. The service has been great. The products work and they are environmentally-friendly.

They were good. They give me a guarantee for two months. I can call them back within two weeks if the pests appear again and they will come out for no charge which I like. The gentlemen who they sent out were knowledgeable. I would recommend them to others. I would use them again in the future.

I called on Friday afternoon with questions about some flying ants I saw in our den. They sent someone out the very next day (Saturday), who looked in the den (an addition where we were seeing the ants) and down in the basement, around the walls. He identified the ants and He found a nest and sprayed the basement, applied bait to the den and sprayed the outside. There was no smell and the kids were able to play 30 minutes later in the den. Because it was a windy day, he suggested that the kids and dog not go out in the yard for about an hour, just to be safe. He explained what to expect and when to call back if we still see activity.

The gentleman who did the inspection was FANTASTIC!!! He was honest, informative and friendly. We would recommend and use this company in the future.

They treated and killed everything in the nests for the ants. They did a professional job. I thought it was bit expensive. They come three times. I still see some ants. We have a carpenter ant problem its nothing they are doing.

From my initial call to the final service Chem-Wise was fantastic. We had a carpenter ant problem that was nothing short of a nightmare. They educated me on the initial call and took the time to walk me through the process. Very reasonably priced, patient and prompt. We will be using them again! Great job guys. Thank you.

They are responsive. Everything so far has been good.

Four of us in the block use them. I used them for the first time, but my neighbors have used them for years. First time, it is $200 that includes the spraying for bees and then they come three times a year, which will be $145 each time they come. So far, it has been great. I didn't want to use bad chemicals, so it was really simple. I know my neighbors have been happy with them. They told me who is going to come up, so I knew the guy whom to look for. I didn't do much pricing around. So far, the quality has been excellent. They were fast.

They took care of the problem. I would definitely give them an A.

Background We had mice in the crawlspace and main living are for the first time. Having small children, my wife and I were concerned so we took to the internet to find a pest control specialist. After researching reviews, websites, the BBB, etc. We settled upon this company. Contact and Punctuality I was a little worried that with our tight schedules we would have a difficult time finding a date for them to come out. Upon calling we quickly settled on a time of 6-7AM!!! The technician was prompt and courteous. Work Performed They removed the mice in the crawl by placing baited traps. They did have to come out to reload the traps a few weeks later, as we still had mice activity, but that was performed free of charge. We have not seen mice since. While they were down there, we had them spray for spiders too. Further contact We were so impressed with their service, that we have since signed up for their tri-annual service.

The work went well. In addition to some questions about ant control, we were also concerned about the type of pesticides used, especially inside the house, since we have a cat. After examining the inside and outside of the house, the serviceman took time to explain the proposed treatment. We went ahead with his suggestions. While it took a little over two weeks after treatment (this was explained in advance by the serviceman), the ants are gone.

Once again this year it was an absolute pleasure to receive services from this company. Appointment made and confirmed via email followed by prompt, courteous service delivery. The Technician was, as always, professional, efficient, accommodating and very pleasant. Thank you for your dedication to detail and care.

We've had termites issues with the previous owner so I wanted an termite inspection. The technician was on time, friendly, professional, and very helpful. Most importantly, he didn't try to see me some monthly service program that I probably don't need. He told me things looked good for now, he warned me of the problem spots and how to deal with them, and he invited me to call him if we ever needed any other work, which I will definitely do based upon this experience.

The technician sent out was deaf and could not communicate with us at all. I could not understand him. I called the company back, and they sent him again with another man. I just felt that they did not do a good job and it was not worth the money.
