Chem-Wise Ecological Pest Management

The tech sprayed the outside of the house and placed a small amount of clear gell in the corners of the rooms where the ants were entering. The ants were gone after one visit by Chem-Wise. (Our only problem was that we forgot to move our outdoor herb pot, and it received some of the spray. Needless to say, all herb pot contents have been replaced.)

It went very well. The technicians came out promptly to evaluate our problem and were very knowledgeable. They set traps in the house to find out where potential points of entry were for the mice and sprayed the exterior for typical insects. They came back two weeks later and put spray foam on the potential exterior points to block spaces where mice could enter and said to call if we had any more issues. We haven't had any more mice.

Great service. They were able to determine a few places where the mice were coming in and set out the chemical stations in our crawl space and other areas where we had seen activity. I also received some great tips on other preventative measures we need to take.

Very well. They came and set out poison bait traps, then came back every week or so to check them until no activity was seen. They're gone and the entry points have been plugged! All of this for one flat rate and it's guaranteed.

I am having difficulty with Chem-wise whom has not been very professional in their practices. In the week of August 22, of last year I had a discussion with an individual I believe was named Kailea and told her I no longer wanted the services of Chem-wise. I was not pleased with their services and told her I no longer wanted the services and sent a check that week for the last services performed. I was not given a cancellation number and did not realize I needed one. I received a voicemail message from someone in the office (female) I believe in October asking about scheduling service again for a fall treatment. I received another call a week or two later from a male about scheduling. Not any point did either of these individuals inform me that they would come and treat my property without an actual appointment, the last invoice (dated 06/20/16) that I have from them states “perimeter treatment may be done with prior notification”, I was never told they would come without an appointment. I also live in a gated community so I generally have to let contractors in. Since that time I have received several notices of payment due for services performed in November (I do not have an invoice, I was not here when apparently outside services were done) My primary reason for initially using them was for interior treatment of spiders and would not had treatment without interior services. I had a discussion last month with their office which went nowhere and received a voicemail this week about collection activity. I have not been timely in dealing with this issues due to multiple family members health issues but I don’t like their bullying attempts and their unprofessional behavior by not following their own practices which are detailed on the invoice. First the employee did not give me a cancellation number when I clearly told her I did not want to use their services, secondly none of the voicemails that I received told me they would come out without prior notification, had they done that this would not be an issue.

Found the entry points and eliminated the existing mice

They came out, layed food traps in kitchen, basement, and garage. Sprayed for spiders (part of the package). Don't know if this did any good since I didn't have problems with spiders. Came back twice to inspect traps, refill food until no signs of mice. Very prompt, professional.

It turned out badly. I didn't feel like wasting my time applying to it. They are a terrible company, and I would call them incompetent. They came out not prepared to do the job. They didn't have the proper equipment, they had to come back twice. The few service calls that they made, neither time I felt like they did anything worth my money. I will never use them again. Basically they didn't even come with a ladder, so they couldn't do anything above ground level. They didn't have the equipment or spray to spray the spiders after they looked for pest. They had to come back, and when the second guy came back to follow up he didn't bring a ladder as well. It was just one thing after another. The only thing they did right was not crash while coming to my house. The value was zero. They were terrible. They will not be used again, that the simplest way to put it. If anybody ask about exterminators, they would not be the choice. The job took half an hour. I feel like they were untrained, new and unseasoned employees. They were fine and nice people.

They are easy to communicate with. They don't make you sign a contract and they will come any time we want. They are supposed to do it three times annually, but sometimes it's already past and we have to call them to make the appointment. They need to keep better track. They are supposed to keep track of what they have done and what they need to do.

The service professionals were excellent about explaining the procedure and answering all my questions. They were all friendly, polite, and prompt and were efficient in their work. The first one who came out did a thorough inspection of the areas in question and set the traps. Three weeks later, a second technician came to check the traps and follow up. He detected evidence that there had been quite a bit of activity in the intervening weeks and investigated the possible entrance areas. He sealed up the suspected entry areas and reset all the traps. Two weeks later, a third technician came to check and found all activity had ceased! They will come out once more to recheck before my 90-day warranty lapses. I am relieved and grateful I contracted Chem-Wise and would not hesitate to hire them again or recommend them to others.

It took over 3-4 visits for the roach issue to be resolved and took over 2 months for the mice issue to be resolved until we called a different company. The only tech that seemed to know what they were doing was the manager who came out after I complained twice that the services was not effective. They were not thorough at all when diagnosing the problem and areas where the mice were coming in/out of certain rooms. They only looked for feces and put down bait, which is something we could have done. There was no proactive work to solve the issue. We had a competitor come out and he was more thorough in 30 minutes than ChemWise was in the 2 months back and forth out of our house. In pest management, years of experience are the key, and ChemWise does not bring this to the table.

They did quick spray for spider control and settled boxes for mice at first appointment. One week later, they came back to add more baits in boxes for mice and sealed some wholes. Another 2 weeks later, they will come back to finish the work. Still waiting for the last appointment.

Signed up for a quarterly inspections. They spray for spiders in the basement and checked for field mice as well. He was very professional, asked questions that made sense.

Jim came on 1/5 along with a trainee. He was punctual, friendly yet professional, and had a great sense of humor. He listened attentively and devised a plan to find the root cause of the problem. He inspected the baits I had set up, cleaned them out, and installed fresh ones at strategic locations. In addition to examining the evidence inside the house, he braved the frigid weather to inspect the exterior of the house. Jim came back on 1/19/17. He inspected all the baits, listened carefully, and consulted with me on a root-caused analysis and solution strategy. He inspected the exterior and added some steel wool in spots. He will be back in 2 weeks. You will not be able to find any professional as experienced, honest, knowledgeable, friendly, and with great attention to detail as Jim of Chem-Wise in the exterminating business.

It was very effective! They were able to remove the ants the first time. They then will come back and spray to prevent future infestations. They come to my home every spring, summer, and fall and sometimes come in-between if there i s a need. They are efficient, prompt and courteous.

Could not have been better. We are very pleased. AND we were given a $20 discount as a repeat-customer.

Service has been fantastic to date. Chem-Wise has made multiple inspections and sealed suspected entry points for mice. They are very responsive and continually follow-up to ensure we are mouse free.
