Service was great. We scheduled an appointment and because the work was outside no one needed to be home. They showed up on time and took care of most of the nests. (We have some very high peaks so the nests were still there but the wasps were not!) Afterward we did not have issues with the wasps. They did great work.

Amber wrote a great note which my daughter thoroughly read. GREAT touch and very much appreciated! Had a problem with bees buzzing around front & back of house. Bees are now completely gone.

This summer our cedar-sided house had developed into a wasp hotel, with the infestation having become so severe that wasps were finding entry points (mysterious to us), allowing them to get inside the house. We had tried applying the usual toxic sprays available at the hardware store, but to no avail. The Chem-Wise technician came at the promised time and spent ~ 15 minutes walking around the house with me, evaluating the problem and patiently answering my questions as to his plan of attack. He then spent just over an hour spraying, dusting, and removing nests. When he was finished, he again took me around the house, pointing to and explaining what he actually did. Within a day the effectiveness of his treatment was clear, and now more than a month later, has remained so. We are extremely pleased, and can enthusiastically recommend this company.

Called to schedule service. Scheduling was completed with ease. Serviceman came out as scheduled. He let me know when completed and was very polite. Prior to the service had significant problem with wasps. After the servcie no wasp spotted. Also loved that the company is environmentally friendly.

We noticed a few silverfish in our house early in the summer. Combined with a spider issue in our newly finished basement, we figured it was time to call a pest-control expert. I should have done my research before I called Orkin, because they charged me $250 for a one-month service (as I didn't want regular treatments), which was not effective in controlling our spider issue and uncovered no silverfish issue of note. They were also very unhelpful in figuring out the source of a mosquito issue in our home. Chem-wise, however, dedicated a good amount of time on the phone with me talking about our mosquito issue BEFORE i was a paying customer. Their first treatment -- literally half the cost of what I paid Orkin-- was MUCH more effective. I just called them to talk through a fly issue in our house, and once again, the service was excellent. I would highly recommend the company to anyone.

The process went well. The service tech was neat, efficient and knowledgeable. We looked at every possible point of entry a little mouse would take/use to gain entry into the home from the outside. Except for the attached garage, there was nothing on the outside. Then we looked at every point inside they would use to navigate throughout the home. Inside is a different story, since there are so many ways to get into a home from the garage. We decided to use the baited plastic boxes and waited a week or two before looking for activity. Only the garage showed signs of activity. The boxes were re-filled with the bait. The only obvious thing is to plug up any and all small gaps in the walls and trim that are accessible to small mice. We are in the process of doing so. Again, the service tech was polite, neat, efficient, and knowledgeable.

Went great. We called chem-wise, they came out the next day and no more bees in the wall. Very happy

They answered all of our questions ahead of time. We has yellow-jacket nests in our gutters and they took care of the problem. Nothing that they used harmed any of our plants. The service tech was very friendly. All in all, they did a great job!

Didn't get the service done as the problem went away. But would feel comfortable calling them back again.

The entire experience was fantastic. We had a bumble bee and yellow jacket nest under the foundation right on our back porch which made sitting outside impossible. I looked up on Angie's list for bee removal and Chem-Wise Ecological Pest Management Services came up as very highly rates. I called to get information and they mentioned that we could pay $99.00 to have the specific spots sprayed or they had an Angie's list deal where they would remove the problem and also prevent future infestations around the entire house. The technician called 20 minutes early as he was running ahead of schedule which worked out great for us. He explained to me about what the problem was and also about other areas I had not noticed. He let me know that the bees would be very mad and to keep the children off the patio for the next 2 days as the bees moved on. The only reason for the C rating on quality was that we had recently cleaned all the outside windows and when spraying the soffits around the house it got all the windows dirty again. Not a quality of the work performed as I believe it was the nature of the beast so to speak. The bees were gone in a day and have not seen them since. I will be using the service again next year much earlier so we do not have that problem again.

We had a large hornets' nest on the outside wall of our home. We called Chem-Wise to have it removed and rest of exterior checked for another nest or other pest issues. I called on a Friday and the owner was here on the following Monday or Tuesday. He checked thoroughly outside, removed the nest and sprayed for other pests. He said to call if there were any problems that re-developed as bugs sometimes returned to their "home". A few days later hornets began to re-build their nest in the same spot as before. We phoned for a return service visit and the owner was here the next day and re-treated the area. Since then, voila, we're hornet-free and feel safe to use our patio again.

Chem-Wise phone staff was excellent. They explained in detail what type of application they would use and different pricing options. I chose to also have them spray wasp nests on my cedar home and underneath various roof sections. I live in Grayslake so I had to wait about 3 days to get a service person to this area. I was pleased with the professionalism of the exterminator. I was told this process would take a month to be effective and that I might need a respray because of the drought conditions this past summer. A second application was applied almost 30 days after the first application and within 2 weeks, the carpenter ant problem was resolved. Be prepared to sweep up a lot of dead ants. I have a small dog that I was concerned would eat the solidified residue of the chemical or the dead ants. My dog did not eat either and I was assured that this process would be OK for small animals.

Last summer we had a big problem with wasps and bees in our backyard. It wasn't fun for us or our kids to hang out back there. I had to climb a tall ladder and spray a wasps nest to make it safe for my kids. I saw the Big Deal on Angie's list and I didn't hesitate. They were very professional. They called me right away and came out within a week to spray the house. The agent who came out took his time and answered all of my questions. We did not see very many bees or wasps this summer. I would definitely use them again next summer.

They did a good job, they sprayed the perimeter of the house to prevent bees and wasps. We haven't seen quite as many bees around this summer.

We were seeing increasing amounts of wasps in the house and didn't know where they were getting in. As my son is allergic to stings we had to get someone out to get rid of them fast as our attempts had failed. Chem Wise came out and got the job done efficiently and completely - and gave a guarantee to come back again for free if needed! The gentleman was polite and got the job done the first time. We would definitely call them again for any other pest issues.

Fine. Except we had to wait 5 days for it to take full effect. I have not had any problems from this area since he did the work. Problem solved.

They did what they said they were going to do, and I would use them again in the future!

ts Excellent service. The technician that came out was so knowledgeable and helpful. I will definitely continue to use this company to service my needs for pest control. I was extremely happy with the service rendered. My only concerned was that I was scheduled tor a follow up appointment which was scheduled at the time of the first visit . Unfortunately, I had to call and remind them of my second scheduled date. Things worked out, but I found out that no second visit had been recorded at all. All in all, I would definitely recommend this company, which I did do. o

They sprayed when they were scheduled to and we have not had any bees/wasps this year. I'm very happy with their services and price and will definitely use again!

I had had problems with mice in the house in the winter for years. When I saw the offer from Angies List, I jumped on it. They came out twice. The first time, they set out poison to take care of any mice that were in the house and they searched for ways that mice were getting into the house. They came back a month later to see how things were progressing and to seal things up. I haven't seen a mouse since. They did a good job.

All went well -- easy to schedule, arrived pretty much on time, was quick and professional, and answered all my questions and concerns. In addition to the treatment sprayed, he removed all existing nests from the home. Most importantly, it seems to have worked well as we have had no new nests after 3 months time and where we had previously always found stinging insects -- both live and dead -- in our attic over the garage, the attic has been completely free of them since the treatment. Nothing we've done in the past 10 years has been as effective.
