Very smoothly

Sam Fantalvo assessed the project, and was excellent to deal with. He was friendly, informative, and made suggestions that we hadn't thought of. It was a hard choice, and I'm sure we would have been please with his work, but we decided to go with another contractor, mainly because a relatively small difference in price.

Excellent from start to finish. They were very professional and personable as well and guided us through every step of the process. The work was completed in a very timely manner and the bathroom turned out beautiful. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Frank did a fantastic job renovating our kitchen. Very prompt, honest and thorough throughout the entire project. We felt comfortable knowing Frank was taking care of us. I would hire them again in the future, not just for kitchen, but for general areas + bathroom.

We could not have been happier with every step of the project. The initial meeting was very thorough and the bid was very competitive. The communication was superb through out the entire process - Frank was always responding to our questions and concerns promptly. When we went to pick out fixtures and tile, the stores had all the project information already there. RBR handled all deliveries and returns. We gave the workers keys at the beginning of the project and they worked 5-6 days a week straight through to get it finished within the time frame given. We are very happy with the quality of the work and the way everything turned out. Our neighbors are jealous of the new bathroom - I would recommend RBR to all of them!

Unbelievable experience. I've seen horror stories on TV when it comes to home renovation... this was 100% the best experience I could have hoped for. Frank and Sam gave us an estimate, and within 2 weeks, all work was complete and on budget. I would never hire anyone else now that I know what it should be like.

After researching a number of companies on Angie's List and Home Advisor and after interviewing 3 contractors, I chose RBR to remodel my bathroom. This was my first remodeling experience, and Tom walked me through it step by step, offering suggestions and advice. Adam did the work impeccably. He was punctual, professional, and a delight to work with. I am so pleased with the results that RBR will soon be remodeling my master bath.

I honestly cannot say enough good things about RBR. From the start of my relationship with them, I was greeted by warm personalities who made me feel comfortable about the project I was about to begin. Frank was my main point of contact from the start and he could not have been nicer or more forthcoming about what to expect. When you work with RBR you are immediately made to feel like you are part of the family. You have the support of Tom, the owner, and Lee Anne, the Director of Project Management. The company is highly responsive and truly takes the time to get to know their client. At every step of the process, they were there to make sure I was comfortable and happy. Unfortunately, due to some unforeseen complications in the property purchase, I was unable to see my RBR project through. But even at the early termination of my work with RBR, they could not have been more stand up people. They clearly recognize the value of relationships. In a field where it is seemingly easier to find the bad apples than the good apples, I hit the jackpot with RBR. I would recommend them to any person who needed remodeling in the Chicago area and look forward to the opportunity to complete a project with them in the future.

I was eager to meet with a representative off this company to discuss this project, because the secretary was persistent to schedule an appointment, and was actually lovely on the phone. Sad to say that I am very disappointed that the assigned salesman was dismissive at the get-go. He seemed upset as soon as I opened the door, did not bother to introduce or greet me, and was uninterested to hear my details on the proposed project. He also took a call while we were in the middle of an exchange, almost yelling at the phone - discussing payment issues. Did I mention he did not excuse himself? Quite inappropriate for a first interaction with a potential customer. He then started to exit, stating simply that the project would be too extensive and costly. Nice. Unconscious bias, much? My husband is a design engineer and I am a chemical engineer. We are seeking a contractor with a home project because we have day jobs and can afford to pay someone to do the work for us.

From the very beginning, we liked Tom and RBR. He brought not only interest to our initial estimate meeting, but also plenty of design ideas and solutions for storage in our "new" condo's small, vintage bathroom. The process was painless. Tom's team was attentive and quick. Tom and his team were easy to get in touch with and always willing to take phone calls to talk through questions. The finished product exceeded our expectations. If you're thinking about doing any type of remodel, put RBR at the top of your list.

Overall the entire project went smooth and was a success. RBR's representatives were completely professional, clean and courteous, while doing an excellent job. Bottom line - they did what they said they would do. No hassles, no complications. I felt comfortable that they were good people looking out for me, my family and ultimately, my home. Also, as a side note - the communication was excellent. If I ever had a question or concern, they responded quickly and never kept me waiting. I would certainly use them again!

Easiest remodel that I have ever done! Tom and his crew were a pleasure to work with. Always knew who was coming and no one was ever pulled off the job to go somewhere else. Clean and neat- and always concerned that we weren't inconvenienced too long.

Tom Scanlon, owner of RBR was refered to me by a mutual friend who had previously worked wit him on the tv show, "Kitchen Crashers" . Tom came and gave me an estimate of the job- I had 3 done and he was the most expensive, but he sent me an estimate and his contract and information was the most professional.. We could not have asked for a better job. As the general contractor and owner of RBR, Tom came daily to check out the work that was being done. We always knew who was coming that day and our main installer was there everyday and always put in a full day. All the contractors that RBR used came through our home and left it as neat if not better then when they arrived. T om stood behind the work and the quality of the materials being used. While the project was being done and the shower wall was being taken down, the contractor noticed that our adjoinning shower stall in the masterbath was leaking water into the wall when we used it. Needless to say we had a second huge shower now to be redone. Ordered all new stone wall tile, floor tile, the entire room had to be redone and done correctly.. there was mold found and the entire shower was brought down to the 2x 4's.. some had to be replaced because of mold. Finally it has been done correctly and we LOVE it! We also did a new stair banister and spindles- and carpeting and painting- all of which was coordinated with the bathroom. RBR is not inexpensive- but you get what you pay for and the quality of work is great!

The experience was amazing! The craftsmen assigned to my job were simply outstanding. I'm a bit of a handyman myself, so I had a pretty good idea of the basic nature of the project. That's why I was so pleased to see the vast knowledge these men possess which resulted in an efficient and on time completion. In fact, they finished earlier that anticipated. And they WORKED CLEANLY! No mess to clean up at all. It's as if they were building in their very own home. I've already recommended this company to all of my friends and family who have had similar experiences. You won't be disappointed.

It went great. I found out about RBR from my mother who has worked with many contractors over the years, RBR is by far her favorite. After my project we referred RBR to our neighbors, in-laws, friends, and other family who have all been happy with the work done.

Excellent customer service. tom responded to every call and text. work was completed in the promised time. When I wasn't pleased with the replacement toilet he immediately agreed to install a new one of my choice. Workers were polite and skilled. when they chipped my tub replacing the drain he immediately told me he was replacing it and a matching toilet at no cost to me. very satisfied with how it was handled.

Our bathroom remodel was very well organized and completed in the timeframe and within the budget promised. The contractor made it easy by meeting me to help me pic out flooring, vanity, colors, etc. Tom Scanlon was great to work with and could not have been more accommodating to our schedule. When I do future updates to my home, I will definitely use Tom and RBR Total Home Remodeling. I have since had a couple of small repairs needed in my home and Tom has sent someone out or has come here himself to help me with various repairs unrelated to the remodel. I would highly recommend RBR and will use this provider again for future projects.

There was always clear and consistent communication by the owner in terms of what status of the project. The owner was always onsite every day to oversee that the work was being executed to schedule and to the terms of the contract. He went above and beyond working at all hours and coming on the weekends to check on the status of the work. Tom was very personable, professional and very easy to work with. He was willing to adjust the schedule based on my needs. I would recommend this company to anyone looking for excellent quality and professionalism.

Tom and his crew were extremely courteous, professional and delivered above our high expectations. In addition, he was a huge help in our making the right selections in our cabinetry and materials that we simply love. I have and will continue to recommend Tom and his team for any home improvement needs.

The crew was very hard working and conscious to make sure everything went smoothly and always cleaned up after themselves. The carpentry work and tile work was flawless. Was told it would be a two week job and that it was.

The demolition work was done in two days. The work was done well. The tile work was excellent. Not a flaw to be found. The shower base was done very well. The vanity cabinets went in well along with the water fixtures in the shower, new tub and sinks. Tom, the owner was at our house just about every day in the morning to review progress and discuss any decisions or issues. The work crew was considerate of our house and always cleaned up after themselves. A couple of minor issues (not worth going into detail) were cleared up quickly and all was in excellent shape before they left. I would strongly recommend this company for remodel work.
