Professional Home Improvements did our complete exterior - siding and roofing this past fall (2015). We had considered 3 different companies for the job, with Professional Home Improvement being one of them. We met with Mal Graifman, the owner of the company. He was extremely pleasant to work with - and cared greatly about the quality of work that his would be doing. We really felt that he shared our interest in making our home look like the best house on the block. We were very happy with the cost of the project - Mal?s estimate was not the lowest, nor was it the highest. Mal definitely pointed out things that his company would do, which went well beyond the company with the lowest estimate. As the project progressed we found Professional Home Improvement doing things Mal never mentioned (that made our house look better then we anticipated) that the company with the highest estimate said they would do. In the end, the final cost of the project was just a bit more then the estimate, but that was because of the wood replacement on the roof. It was still quite a bit lower than the company with the highest estimate. Mal was great to work with, showing up on the job to check on things, and making sure we were happy with the progress. Lastly, the house has been through several winter storms, including a storm with 50 to 60 mph winds. Not a single shingle or piece of siding came off the house. A job will done by Professional Home Improvement, thank you Mal.

I was very pleased with the process. I worked directly with the owner who was very professional and accommodating. The work was completed in a timely manner and within the original cost estimate. I would highly recommend Professional Home Improvement to anyone looking to replace their siding.

PHI did a fantastic job. Of all of the vendors that we've had perform work on our home, Mal and his team were the best. They even walked around the house and tidied up some loose trim that they were not responsible for. I would work with them again in a heartbeat.

Mal's experience and attention to detail is what won him our business. He didn't pressure us to make a quick decision, and in fact his many suggestions throughout the process gave us something to really think about before we decided to use him. Ultimately it resulted in a great finished product. The crew he put on our house was very experienced and also cared about the details. I'm not sure if everyone does this, but they cleaned up at the end of every day, or asked if it was okay to leave certain things out. With any job there are always issues that pop up. How they handled those issues went a long way toward the A rating I provided. Any time I had a question or change or issue, Mal worked it out to my satisfaction. We have received compliments on our house from many people, and we have recommended PHI and Mal to everyone who was interested.

I wish I could really come up with how I feel about the work that Professional Home Improvement did for me after a tornado damage my house. They did everything they said they would do and after they left I would have never know they were there. Every thing was cleaned and only my beautiful house was left. The job went very smooth and professionally. They were on time and very courteous and also left my home very clean. The owner came out to inspect my home and to ensure that things were going as planned. The overall work and outcome of the repair were outstanding. Mal was great to work with...he provided a through estimate and was willing to actually listen to what we wanted. Having his experience allowed Mal to provide a some great suggestions that really made our house look tremendous. I've had an ongoing issue with my sidings in my town home that was causing an interior leak. Numerous people were sent out by the Association to address the issue but they never got to the bottom of it. This issue had been going on for over a year. Mal (Professional Home Improvements) team was sent out last month and was able to find and fix the issue. Mal was very professional and came out the day of the repairs to make sure his team would find the issue and correct it. He made sure that the work performed was quality and addressed any concerns that I had. He even followed up a few weeks later to see if there were any more issues. This review is long overdo. We contacted Professional Home Improvement and it was a pleasant experience from the get go. Mal came over and was our third estimate. His pricing was slightly higher than the others we received, but he was also willing to work with us on that. One main difference, other than the fact, that Mal was so nice and friendly was that he took time to explain every detail about what they do and how they do it -both for the windows and the siding. He also had pictures of other homes he had done and references we could drive by to see their work. In addition, we had this bow out window that went from ceiling to floor in our kitchen that needed to be replaced. Other companies that came out didn't make us feel very confident that they knew what to do or what options to give us with that window. When Mal came in...he was like, "Oh we have done a ton of these in the area. Look here are some pictures on ones we completed." We could actually see what it looked like completed and the options people went with. We decided to sign the contract to move forward with Professional Home Improvement that same day he came out to give us the estimate. Mal even moved around some projects to get us in toward the middle of Sept. since I was due to have our baby in early October. He didn't want his crew working on the house with a newborn just coming home. Speaking of his Crew, the guys were super nice and courteous. We were at work when they did most of the work inside and outside. They are careful in your house, they clean up each day when they are done and they even closed up and locked our house up when they left. Very trustworthy. Windows Done: -One window replaced and one completely removed and closed up upstairs in our bedroom. -Upstairs bathroom window replaced with a frosted window -Front living room and dining room windows replaced (4) -Kitchen sink window and bow out floor to ceiling windows replaced. The bow window also needed carpentry work done to accommodate the new windows and they fixed the rotten wood on the outside of the house. Siding: -Removed cedar wood with insulated Vinyl Siding on entire house. -New gutters, Soffit and Facia. -Front porch siding and new columns also installed. -New shutters installed. My pricing also included a new garage door. Mal had gotten someone he worked with to come out and replace my garage and do the installation of that all together for one price so we didn't have to search for someone else to do that which was great! Overall, it was a great experience. They are very easy to work with and if a problem arises, Mal will make sure it gets fixed right away as well. I would highly recommend them!

Overall I?m very pleased with the results, Mal came to our home and presented multiple siding options and went into great detail over what work would be done. After talking with another well-known siding company, we decided to go with Professional Home?s bid. Mal was very professional, experienced and the bid came in at a very reasonable price for the work being done, and reading the great reviews really helped in our decision. Our old cedar siding was removed and replaced with insulated vinyl siding. New soffit and fascia were installed along with new gutters, lighting fixtures and window shutters. Mal helped in choosing the decorative trim around the garage door and the front door entrance, what a difference it made updating the look of the house. The crew was very polite, courteous and responsive. They worked diligently and cleaned up at the end of each day. The only problem we had was getting the correct garage trim parts from the distributers, they either sent the wrong parts or damaged pieces, each time Mal handled the problem quickly. Otherwise, the project went along smoothly. I would highly recommend Professional Home Improvement for any of your Home Improvement work. I will definitely use them for any future work. I've used many contractors in the past, but I have to say this is by far the most professional, courteous, and experienced company that you will ever need for any of your home improvements. When Mal (the owner) came over to our home to provide the estimate he came prepared. He had many samples and literature to choose from. He explained in detail what should be done and answered all of our many questions patiently and professionally. He stayed well within our intended budget which made it much easier for us to re-do our home. He has the most wonderful and honest crew (Sam, Andy (aka smiley), and Greg. These men know their trade! They took a home that was just ugly and out of date, and turned it into a showcase! They were awesome! They worked with me on any changes or extras I needed done without any issue. I could go on and on about the very positive experience I had with this company, but it would be a novel! Bottom line folks.....save yourself a bunch of aggravation interviewing contractors and getting the best estimate. Just call Professional Home Improvement Inc. You will not be disappointed! The entire process went very smoothly, from the initial contact and estimate, the measuring of the windows, delivery, and installation. Installation was delayed somewhat because of the weather, but this was understandable. Installation was particularly noteworthy, as three men were sent to do the job (one of them also did the measurements), so they were finished in less than a day. They arrived about 8:30 a.m and were done around 3:00 p.m. Clean up was thorough. All in all, I was very satisfied with Professional Home Improvement and would recommend them.

This was a big decision for us. Price and quality were going to be very important to us. In addition we needed someone who would be able to take some of our ideas and create a vision for our home. Mal was easy to work with and was able to create that vision. He answered all of our(many) questions and was very patient as we came to our decision. His crew was professional, fast and did great work. They created a great custom solution for our porch which we get many compliments on.

This was a good experience right from the first meeting with Mal Grafton. He was patient, answered all my questions and questions I didn't know I had. Although I did a lot of research, Mal took the time to explain the differences in various sidings and had the samples to show. We walked around the house while Mal explained the installation process and pointed out things I was not aware of and made helpful suggestions. I could see that he took pride in his work and wanted the finished product to be satisfying to us both. After signing the contract, Mal kept me informed on the ordering and delivery of the material, and was always available for my phone calls and questions.When the siding was delivered (right on schedule) Mal came out with his installation crew. He introduced me to each installer and we walked around the house once more to verify exactly was was going to be done. As for the installation, I can't praise the installation crew enough. They were excellent. They also took pride in their work (and it showed). I've had enough experiences to know that is not the norm. The crew paid close attention to the little details that define the finished product. They were very friendly and polite. They did a professional installation and cleaned up each day. They also took care of some little things that were not part of the contract (such as straightening the front railing that was knocked out of line by the mailman). I am extremely happy with the finished product and would (and have) highly recommend Professional Home Improvement to anyone. As a side note, I have old Chicago brick, that I'm not fond of, on parts of the house. I haven't been able to find anyone that could do something other than just paint over the brick. Mal put me in touch with someone that (for lack of a better word) stains the brick where the result mimics face brick. A small thing, but important to me.

Mal was just a pleasure to work with ... very knowledgeable and professional ... he knows his stuff. His work crew is top notch ... if something was not done correctly, they would go out of their way to make it right ... they treated my home as if it were their own ... made me feel confident. Met with the crew foreman and Mal the morning before work began ... just to be certain we were in agreement on everything the job entailed. I cannot believe the job was finished in a matter of only a few days. Being a welding inspector, my expectations were nothing short of perfection ... Mal and his crew delivered! I went out of my way to try and find imperfections with every part of the job ... I could not find a thing wrong. I couldn't believe it. Corners were mitered to perfection ... edges were trimmed neatly and actually square ... gutters had the proper pitch (slope) ... downspouts were assembled to match my under-ground drainage system - they fit like a glove ... the front eave looks amazingly nice ... the freeze-boards look really good ... they cleaned up after each day of work ... and when the job was done, asked if anything was out-of-order. I would hire these guys again in a heart-beat. With the recent downpours we have had, I went out to observe the operation of the gutters and downspouts ... they worked like a charm with NO LEAKS. We utilized Professional Home Improvement recently, as our wood siding was starting to look a bit problematic. Prior to selecting Professional Home Improvement, we looked into (3) other companies to do siding on 1800 square foot (half siding/half brick) home. We were eager to have vinyl siding to replace the wood siding, and also have?shake? siding on our garage gable for a fresh look. This was explained to each company that we solicited quotes for. Each company walked through our outside, took measurements and each were very polite. The price ranges for each of these three companies were sort of extreme; between $11k and $28k. When Professional Home Improvement came to our home, we received treatment above and beyond what was received by the previous (3)siding companies. Mal, the President,politely and in great detail, walked us around our home and explained what Professional Home ?does? and ?does not? do. Instead of putting down other companies, Professional Home Improvement focuses on their work and they do it the right way. Great care is taken around each window. Great care is taken in ensuring that the soffit/fascia are installed in a way that ensure the house does not incur leakage, air, etc. This great detail highlighted that Professional Home Improvement does things the right way. Even better, Professional Home Improvement was ?in the lower-middle? of the quotes we received. While their price is in ?the middle?, their work is top notch. After contracting, Professional Home Improvement ensured that materials were ordered right away and also touched base to let us know when the materials were ordered, when they were coming in, and when they would begin work. Once the team came (2 people), great care was taken on our home. Instead of rushing through our siding, Professional Home Improvement treated our home as if it was their own. The President, Mal, also checked in a few times to ensure we were satisfied, highlighted the things that made a difference in their approach, and also identified a few ?new ideas? that would make our home even better . These ideas were approached, and were not tied to additional cost; what you pay up front is what it costs in the end, there is no bait and switch with Professional Home Improvement. I highly recommend Professional Home Improvement for siding, soffit, fascia and gutters. They were A++ in all facets (cleanliness, quality of work, value, and professionalism).

Professional Home Improvement performed all the work stated in our contract with no additional charge. Mal's crew was very courteous, professional and did an excellent job. Mal, the owner, came to our home and talked to us about our project. He showed us the materials his company used and explained why they used these particular products. He was friendly, professional, and answered all our questions. The quality of the work performed was excellent. Mal visited our home to check out the work being performed a number of times. The crew did an exceptional job removing and installing the materials, and cleaned up every day before leaving. I called Mal to get an estimate on residing portions of my house. Mal came out and was very courteous and professional. After thoroughly looking over the house he explained with a coat of paint I had a solid 3 years before I needed to replace it. he was honest and when the time comes to have the work done i plan on calling Mal.

The entire experience was a pleasure. The salesman, Paul, was very professional, knowledgeable, and a great advocate for PHI's product and work. He did a great job of explaining all of the special touches that PHI puts into their work and sets them apart from their competitors. He also assisted in coordinating the work done by PHI with other projects that were ongoing at the house. The work crew was very professional and courteous and exhibited pride in their work. Everything was put away each day and they did a thorough clean up at the end. And, as you'll see in so many of the reviews here, Mal is great to work with. He is very personable, attentive to detail, and experienced. Near the end of the job I did an inspection and provided a list of what I found (perhaps a bit picky, I'm an engineer), Mal ensured that each was addressed to my satisfaction.
