They leave the area immaculate. They have their system down quite well. I can't think of anything they need to improve on. They would explain anything I need about the system, when to change the the settings and recommendations for changing filters.

I pay a contract with them for maintenance on my heating and air conditioning. They are excellent. I have been with them for a long time and they are always excellent. They always timely, always professional, communicate well and they provide excellent service.

They haven't changed my contract, they don't sell it anymore, but for the people who have the contract they still honor it. Definitely use them, they are fantastic. Everything mentioned before their timeliness, their professionalism, their respect for your property, their service.

Looking at the contract, it looked to us like it would be a straight replacement of our furnace and C/A. Our previous central air system included a small water pump that carried excess water through a thin plastic tube running along the basement ceiling to drain into a laundry sink.; it was barely noticeable. At the end of the first day of work, we looked in the basement and saw 1 inch hard, white plastic piping running across the basement floor in front of our washing and dryer where it then connected to another white plastic pipe that ran across the basement floor to a floor drain. Besides something that someone could trip on, the white pipes looked terrible. I called Ibbotson early the next morning before the workers arrived and explained the problem. I was told to work it out with the workers when they arrived. We talked to them and they said they needed to run the plastic pipes across the floor as they didn't plan to use a water pump, but they would change it to what we wanted. At the end of the day, we went to the basement to take a look - we didn't realize they were going to just set the 29-year old run-down looking water pump on the floor and run the clear plastic tubing from it. We had to go out-of-town the next morning, but when we got back, we called again to complain. The ibbotson's representative said they would come out and replace the old pump with a new one at no additional charge and also mount it on the side of the furnace, where the original pump was, which looked much better. In the end, we were very satisfied with the work, but we felt that before they started, the workers should have told us exactly how they planned to change the installation from what we had previously so we could prevent the problem with the white plastic pipes running across the floor. Also, when we called to complain about the pipes, we think it should have been handled by someone at Ibbotson's rather than us being left to discuss it with the workers ourselves. I think that would have avoided the second problem of the workers using the old water pump instead of replacing it.

They gave a good explanation on how to use them.

We were told it would be installed one way, but it was installed a different way. Once the differences were pointed out to Ibbotson, they came back at no charge to us and corrected the mistakes that were made.

Reasonable, prompt, courteous, efficient. No snags from sales to installation. Installers were especially good.

They have been consistently helpful for a few years now.

We have been real happy with their service. I have a yearly contract with them to provide heating and air conditioning check. Heating in the fall, of course and air conditioning in the spring or summer. It is something like $380 a year.

They were out in the beginning of May. It was excellent.I'm not sure of the price because I have a service plan and they come out and it includes a number of visits.

Scheduled this A/C check service call months ago, with a window of 8am - 12pm. Dave arrived at about 11 - 11:15 am, within the window. He checked the unit outside, then inside as well as the thermostat. He reported that everything was working great, but he installed a torque starter, which he compared to a pacemaker because our compressor was failing to start. I asked him to explain this, because a) he said that everything was working great and b) the air conditioning was cooling our home and seemed to be starting. He said when he was outside he tested it and it failed, and that I wouldn't notice because I'm in the house. I explained that if I were standing next to it I probably wouldn't know whether it was working properly or not. He agreed and said it was not uncommon to need this part which worked like a pacemaker. He then went on to say he thought I would understand what was needed just on him saying it was a pacemaker and did I know what those were and what they did. Very condescending. He said the part cost $60 and that he made no money off of it; that if I didn't want it he would remove it. I'm not sure whether we were sold a part we really needed. Since he installed it before explaining the problem or giving me the opportunity to hear the non-start issue, I would not be able to learn what the fail to start sounded like. I asked my husband to make the decision as he usually handles the mechanicals of our home. He and Dave discussed it out of my hearing over the phone and in the end, we bought the part. He left the package with me and I have since priced it - I found it priced between $15 and $20 retail. This has left me with a negative opinion of Ibbotson.

We are in a condo building so we are forced to use the contracted company. I had no choice in the matter because of where I live and the HOA but I would not recommend them. It was suppose to take 30 mins. but it was going on 45 mins. when I had to leave and I didn't know how long it ended up taking. I had to have someone to come over to stand in for me.

Really well. They cleaned up the look of our inside installation from another vendor. Installation went well and the unit is doing very well.

We were very pleased with our choice of Ibbotson to replace our heating and air conditioning system. After speaking to several other companies I felt that they accessed the situation correctly and suggested the right equipment for job. The installers were prompt, worked in a neat and timely manner and when they were finished we were left with the brand new working units that were promised. There were no surprises during the installations and in the past month we have used both the heat and air conditioning, both working as they should. I would recommend them to others for these services.

Frank and his partner showed up on time and got to work removing the old air handler in the attic and the rusted AC unit at the side of the house. They laid tarps so as not to track dirt into the house. A new condensate pan and drain pipe was installed. The job went smoothly and they even installed a new thermostat at no charge. The new system is far quieter and seems to move a lot more air. They completed all the warranty paperwork and even completed the application for the ComEd energy saving rebate. Friendly and professional.

On time installation. Neat, clean and professional.

Very well. In fact the sales person diagnosed furnace problem by sound, called to find out that my furnace was still under warranty, picked up the part and had it installed for labor only. Another company had been here and told me it would be $700 plus to repair the problem. I'm a big Ibbotson fan!

Well, my furnace wasn't working and they called me and had me try things before they were coming out. He was excellent.

Everything went well. We were pleased with the work. We made some suggestions and they went along with them. After the work was done the owner of the company came out to inspect the job. They all that they did and always asked if we had any questions.
