Description of Work: Got a quote to have a tree removed from my front yard from Gary Tree Service. They were real quick to quote the job. Told me they would have it done for $1250, but then dropped the price to $1050 during the same phone call. I decided to get a second quote from Red Oak Tree Expert Corp. within two hours of requesting a quote from Red Oak, who quoted 700 for the same job, Red Oak had the tree down. They also trimmed a tree in my back yard for no additional cost. I think Gary Tree Service preys on those that don't get other quotes, and I'd way over priced. I do not recommend using Gary Tree Service for these reasons. Red Oak Tree Service quoted a fair price, and had the job done the same afternoon. Quote thru them if you want a great service at a fair price.

Description of Work: He said he would call on 5/20 - I never got a phone call. I got an email saying he was very busy and could not come to see the job for 8 more days (Even though I provided pictures) and he said it would then take two more weeks to do the job. My guess it was too small of a job in the busiest part of his season.

Description of Work: Bought a deal through gray tree- $99 for $200 of work. Took ages for owner to come and give me a quote. He came to my property while I was home but didn't knock on the door then gives me an inflated quote ($500) for a job that was quoted by other companies at $300. When I told him so he pretty much told me, you've paid $100 already so give me $300 and we got a deal. This felt like a scam.

Description of Work: Removed a large dead elm including stump. They were very efficient and cleanup up very well.

Description of Work: The experience was good, however to complete the work on my Tree, it would have cost an additional $700 which I didn't want to spend. Gary was very professional during the entire interaction.

Description of Work: Cut down two infected Ash trees. Moved items out of the way to prevent damage, but did not return them afterwards. I expected more lowering of cut tree sections, instead they were left to fall and caused deep holes. |Left me some wood for burning in my fire pit and cut them into usable lengths which was greatly appreciated. Good group of workers who worked fast, cut down trees, cleared the ground.

Description of Work: Despite a couple rain delays, they made it out. Tree surgeons tend not to be cheap, and Gray Tree Service is no exception. But they did a fine job taking care of a long-neglected red bud.

Description of Work: Had the branches of two trees (one large Linden and one small Pear) thinned. All branches (and some I had cut myself) were chipped and the area around the trees cleaned up.

Description of Work: The team showed up on time and everything went well. The leader and I discussed what needed to be trimmed. There were approx. 5 or 6 men on the team. Had no problems and they cleaned up great. I would not have known they were there. Would hire again. Did a great job.

Description of Work: Gray Tree came out to remove a large tree in my backyard that died last winter. With all the ash trees dying in the area, and bad storm damage this fall, many of the companies had no time for a "one tree" job, but Gray scheduled it and showed up when they promised. The tree was in the middle of a heavily planted areas in my yard, but they were careful and cleaned up afterwards.

Description of Work: lARGE JOB. They removed a number of |dead trees and shrubbery by employing |a number of men. Trimmed remainder of |shrubs. Looks like a new house!

Description of Work: I had them chop down a tree, trim some branches, take out small offshoot trees that were growing, and take out a very bad hedge. | | |I was very impressed on how they got it done by the time I got home. It made the house look better than nit has in a long time. | |Though it took them almost 3 weeks to come out and take (reduce) the stump. That is why i gave them a B for punctuality
