I did not hire them because the estimate was significantly higher than other companies bids. Other than that, there was a delay in their responsiveness, but when Angie's List contacted them on my behalf, they were more than cooperative. In the end, the job I had was much bigger than what the Big Deal entailed, so I ended up going with another company.

They did an excellent job and removed all debris and the stump. I would definitely hire again.

I responded to an offer of $99 for $200 of tree service. I talked with Rick Gardner and asked if I could use his coupons for cutting down a very large dead tree. He estimated the job at $400 and said I could take advantage of the coupons, therefore the job cost $200.His team of men came out and cut down the tree, ground out the stump and hauled everything away in about 1 1/2 hours! They did a great job, for a excellent price, and I hope to do business with his company again.

Fromm start to finish, they got the job done in short order and cleaned up after themselves. Wow! was I impressed.

Gray Tree Service was a pleasure to work with through in and through out. They very quick to perform an estimate to remove 2 Mulberry trees in my back yard. They were there within a few days to complete the job after I accepted the estimate. I have a fenced in back yard and they were able to remove all the debris and clean up the area very nicely once they were finished. The service was quick and complete. They also removed a debris pile of other branches that I had cut down previously at no extra cost. I would highly recommend Gray Tree Service for any tree removal service.

It went very well. We contacted them and they responded very quickly and gave us an estimate and were out the next week or so for the job.

The team showed up 10 - 15 minutes early and completed the job in a timely and efficient manner. The waste material was cleared and the problem areas on the tree are now a non-issue.

I have a tree in back of my 2-flat. I learned from my neighbors that one of the branches had gone through the vinyl siding near the top of the back porch, probably during a recent windstorm. The guy who in previous years had trimmed the tree is now retired. I called Grays and the same day, because they were in the neighborhood they came out to look at it and give me an estimate.I arranged for them to take the branch off and trim the branches that were rubbing against the house. It was done exactly as expected.so I'm very glad to find a reliable replacement for dealing with my tree issues.

The company responded to my initial inquiry the same day. They provided a verbal estimate after viewing my yard and emailed a quote and their insurance information. The day of the job they showed up on time and completed all the work within a few hours. They cleaned up well and were very professional.

Extensive limb and branch trimming of a large maple to lift up significantly for sunlight to grow grass and back off my garage roof and also two neighbor's roof and property. Also trimming of two other trees (and even removed a jacket that a renter had thrown high up in a neighbor's tree a year ago). Provided an estimate within a couple days of calling, on a day that I could be home. Came in slightly below another provider who is also an Angie's list highly rated company. Then was able to schedule work to be done the same week I called, again flexible enough to do on a day I could be home. They arrived on time and worked fast and professionally, with a crew of 5. They did all the work, including clean up, in about an hour.

During my initial phone call, we made an appointment with Rick to give us an estimate. He arrived on that date on time and gave us what we considered a reasonable price. Again, the crew arrived on the date that we had set up for removal when they said they would (that is important to us). Within a short period of time, they had the trees removed, the stumps ground down and the area cleaned up. We were very pleased with their service!!

The experience was very good, I had no issues with any of the experience.

The estimate was higher than I expected based on previous pruning I had done on this tree. I asked about this and told they agreed to do it for less, which I was happy about. Not sure if the price quoted was overinflated because I was using a coupon. I had to call a couple times to get the appointment scheduled. But on the day of, they came out 1/2 hour earlier than the time they stated. Some of the thinner branches were cut roughly because they were done with hand saws while the men stood on the ground. The larger branches that saw an electric saw had clean cuts, but a couple were pruned at unusual spots, like in the middle of the branch. It was not a total disaster, but I'm not calling them back either. I'm also not planning to use Angie's List coupons anymore.

They did a great job, they came when they said they wee going to come. They cleaned up after they were done.

Within 3 hours they had someone out to inspect the situation and about an hour later I had an estimate. The branch was secure so the crew was scheduled Saturday AM. The crew arrived at the estimate time. They were extremely professional and they removed the dangerous branch (10" in diameter) in about an hour and they cleaned up all debris. The also inspected other branches for potential hazards. The cost was higher than I would have like but it was an emergency situation and work done on a Saturday so the price seemed justified.

All and all did exactly what they said they were going to do. I have absolutely no complaints about Gray Service and would freely recommend them to friends and family.

They did a really good job. They were quick and very clean. I was impressed they came out from so faraway. They gave me a good recommendation on not taking down a tree. Very trustworthy.

I called them and they came and gave me a quote and they showed up again a few days later to do the job. They seemed to do a good job on the tree, my only complaint was that there didn't seem to be a strong rapport.

I thought that they were just about average. I wouldn’t say they were great, but I would say that they were just nice and fine to work with. The wood was good and dry and it provides great fires because some places have green firewood, but theirs was very nice and dry.

Rick was punctual, professional, and his crew did a great job. I was leery of Gray doing the job while I was at work, but when I came home the trees looked great and there was no evidence that they were even there. I would definitely recommend Gray Tree Service.

We contacted Gray Tree Service when we purchased the Angie's List Big Deal for $99 (we bought two). Rick responded to our initial inquiry immediately and was extremely flexible when we had to reschedule a couple of times for our first consultation. We met and determined the work that needed to be done, and when they did the job, they took all the branches and debris and left no sign they'd been here except the newly-shaped trees. My husband did notice that one big branch that was to have been taken off was still there, and Rick immediately sent out a crew to take that one down. All in all, our experience was outstanding, Rick couldn't have been more professional, and we will definitely call on Gray Tree Service again when the need arises.

We have a 5 year birch tree in our back yard that had turned in to a big bush, not a lovely shade tree. I had an offer from Angie's List for Gray's Tree Service and saw this as an opportunity to get my tree into shape. Rick Gardner was easy to reach and, in a summer of countless storms and emergency tree trimming, Rick found time to take care of my tree. Now I can see a beautiful tree in the backyard. Rick followed up after the trim and gave us care tips for our tree going forward. I enthusiastically recommend Gray's Tree Service.
