Quote provided within a day. Got the trees cut down within a week. They arrived today promptly and have worked all day cutting and clearing as they worked. Excellent team. Hard workers.

They came out and spayed two of our crab apple trees two times. They forgot to do one the second time but, upon calling they sent out a technician out on a Sunday to spray it.

Rick was great and a pleasure to work with. He was the quickest to respond to my phone message out of the 3 companies I contacted. Although we had a small bump in communication everything work out perfectly. His crew did a fabulous job trimming our magnolia tree. They were friendly, courteous and easy to communicate with. I highly recommend Gray Tree Service and plan to use them again in the future.

We have two trees next to the pool that have grown so large that the pool doesn't get much sun anymore. Gray Tree Service did a great job in trimming back the trees, cutting back enough large branches and a number of small ones to really open up the area and let the sun in again! They also did a great job trimming our crab apples. They look awesome! Nine guys came out and did a fast, efficient job and cleaned up everything afterward. We are very impressed with them and will use them again!

I have a big bush that did not survive the rough Chicago winter. I wanted to replace it with something else a bit hardier, but I had a difficult time removing it myself. I saw the Big Deal and purchased it thinking that Gray Tree could help. After they came by to take a look, they said I would be better served with a landscaping service, and declined to take the project. I completely understand, and appreciated their honesty.

They had a special where we could buy $400 worth of tree service for $200 and I purchased two of those. They did a good job and they cleaned up their mess. They came out when they said they were going to.

Very high quality, seasoned mixed hardwood. The offer was enough for 1.5 face cords of wood, delivered.

This is the second time I have used this service. Recvd the same great service as the last time. Were responsive in scheduling the service, got all the relevant information they needed for the job, job was performed exactly when scheduled and exactly as described, site was cleaned up after the job. Very professional service, will call on for any future jobs without hesitation.

When I scheduled the estimate, I told Rich that I wanted 3 trees trimmed as well as one more removed with the stump ground out on our property. I also told him that I wanted to have a couple of the neighbor's trees trimmed to the lot line from our driveway because the neighbor has refused to hire someone to trim their trees after several requests and assurances from them that they would take care of it. Now the trees are so close to our house that it's being damaged by tree debris that falls on our roof and remains as well as animals chewing through the trim of the house trying to gain entry into the attic. Rich was more concerned with taking incoming cell calls than listing to the customer that was patiently trying to explain what I wanted done. He then told me that he didn't have the aerial equipment to do the lot line trimming and had I told him that on the phone he would have mentioned that. Again, clearly a case of his not listening to the details that the customer has left him on his voicemail. I have told every person I contacted the same information so I would be receiving comparable estimates from all of the vendors. Rich also started to walk back to his truck even before I was able to talk to him about the other three trees in the backyard. I told him that he seemed to be more concerned with what was happening on his cell phone so we would be hiring another service that seemed to have more concern with their customers.

Got the estimate the day after I called and the crew arrived first thing Monday morning to remove the ash tree and a large smoke bush. While in the process we asked if they could also remove the other large smoke bush and juniper bushes around the deck. They did and offered to regrind the area where we had an evergreen tree removed several years ago. They were careful, worked quickly and cleaned up and removed all the trees and bushes.

Buyer Beware! Angie's List showed Gray's Tree Service for my area. I paid the $200 service fee and then 2 days later was emailed by Gray that they do Not Service my area! I now won't get my money back for 7-10 working days! What a scam

Scheduling was fine. They trimmed the trees a lot which I had asked them not to. I had written them a note about what they did but they responded back with that they normally do not get any complaints.

It went well. They sent 5-6 workers out to do the job. The scheduling was fine but they did show up without letting me know when they were coming. They got the job done in about 2 hours.

Arrived on time everyone looked professional very friendly but hard working Tree cutters are very trained and experience. GREAT JOB

He really wanted me to be happy with the service.

The complication in the job was that the tree to be removed was on the edge of a Koi pond. Crew arrived on time, were polite, and answered all my questions. They brought a crew of 5 people to finish the job faster. The Mulberry was removed without dropping a single branch on the Koi pond. The stump was cut down to ground level - just as I requested. The Honey Locust now has exactly the shape I wanted. Clean up was thorough...and the entire job was done in 2 hours

Gray Tree Service came to the house to give a quote that I thought was acceptable. I was told that they would call before coming to do the work. I was somewhat surprised when I came home one day from doing some errands that they had come and gone. Unfortunately, the trimming was a little over-zealous on one tree, but on the whole they did what was asked and it was well-done. So the only disappointment was that I was not called before the work was done so that I could make sure that I was at home at the time - if I had been here I might have been able to explain exactly what I wanted.

After purchase of the big deal, the owner came out to review the work needed and the cost relative to the amount of big deal bucks available. We agreed on the removal of two trees and trimming of two stumps. The work was performed the following week with all debris removed and the area cleaned. Gray tree service was very professional and timely in their execution. I strongly recommend them and will use them again.

He ground up 4 tree stumps and besides the cost of the "deal" I was happy with the service.

Crew arrived on time with all the equipment the needed to grind stumps and remove dead and dangerous branches from trees in my yard. They worked very effectively and safely to complete the assignment.

It went fine. They were good, came out and we identified what trees needed to come down, and they cut them down very quickly. I was very impressed by the time they took them to do it. They were very quick, very professional, and it was all good. I will use them again and call them for a quote. I think their price was average.
