Came out quickly to do the work. We're prompt, efficient, courteous and cleaned up the area properly. Plan to have them do more work

Everything was done when I got home. The only way I knew the service was done is that the trees were gone.

Had some initial difficulty reaching the company (they had email issues) and getting the job scheduled, but the crew did a very nice job. Stumps and surface roots were removed and they were careful to not trample surrounding plantings. Price was very reasonable and we would hire again.

Rick was very quick to contact me regarding the work. He communicated everything to me and showed up exactly when promised. The crew did a great job and the clean up was fantastic! I will definitely be hiring them again.

I finally picked a new tree to have planted today by a local nursery in the same spot where the ash tree was located, with the understanding the stump was ground and removed. When they arrived, they showed me where the entire stump remains. The nursery doesn't have equipment to grind a stump, only roots. I had to have them plant the new tree 5 feet away from the original. Obviously, it's not the end of the world, but I was really upset and disappointed when I learned that a new tree could not be planted there. After leaving a message with Gray Tree Service about how upset I was and asking that they refund me for the service they never provided, I received a phone call back within 10 minutes. Unfortunately, I didn't catch his name, but he explained that in the tree business, it's understood that 'stump removal' only removes a stump down 6-12". It is never advisable to plant a large tree in the same spot. It simply won't survive. After his explanation and apologetic tone for not explaining this to me at the time of the service, we both concluded that this is something he might want to educate his customers about in the future. I really appreciated his understanding and calm explanation. I will definitely share this information with any friends/family removing/planting trees in the future.

Ok - however they charged a lot more than the expected cost.

Cost approx. $1200.00 was exorbitant to remove two dead medium size tree.

Gray'a was great. The price was so reasonable and the crew was fast, dilligent and courteous. Will definitely hire again for future work.

The man came out when I was not home (which was OK) and the cost was prohibitive. $600 in addition due to distance.

It went great. Nice clean cut, got rid of all the waste including another branch that had fallen previously.

Excellent response time, meticulous work and clean-up. We've hired them three times over the past six years and each experience has been outstanding.

OK, we'll see how the tree performs this year since it was quite overgrown and needed to be pruned.

Third time using Gray Tree Service... why change company's when you know you will get exactly what you want?! Great service from the initial contact through actual work done. Amazing to watch them work - fast and efficient, like a well-oiled machine. Excellent clean-up to boot! .

After we accepted the proposal I asked for proof of insurance, which was emailed the next day. On the scheduled day the crew was delayed a little by rain but I was notified by email of the new estimated arrival time. Once they arrived they got right to work, which involved ladders, ropes, and a lot of climbing. The crew was pleasant and efficient. They were careful not to let falling tree limbs crush my native plant garden, and they cleaned up the fallen debris afterwards. I wanted to keep some of the tree limbs to use as garden borders; they were very accommodating of this request and my request for some wood chips. The price was extremely reasonable for the large crew and the amount and physical challenges of the work. I had used them before and will use them again.

Came by, called with estimate, agreed to work, was done within a few days. Reshaped the tree beautifully, and couldn't even tell they had been there.

The crew came out and cleaned up the large pine tree (photo included) in minutes. They even cleaned up my neighbor's side too. Very professional and this is the second time I've used Gray's tree service. Their prices are fair and their service is excellent!

I didn't get that many quotes. It was good. The workers were good.
