Description of Work: I called for an estimate on tree trimming. I received the estimate and thought it was high. I called to ask if it was possible to lower the cost and was told that the price could not be lowered because of the Big Deal discount. I had the work done for considerable less.

Description of Work: Sent e-mail requesting a quote for getting a tree/stump removed from my backyard. They called same day and advised I wasn't in their service area. Totally ok with that and appreciated them calling that quickly.

Description of Work: I wanted to remove a wild cherry tree which was adjacent to my garage and my brick paved driveway. I was concerned about possible damage with removing tree and trunk and roots. They were punctula and reasonable. They had all the necessary equipment to get the job done quickly and did additional work for me as well- filled in hole with gravel as I requested to help guttter drainage, removed large branches from another tree. I was pleased with their work.

Description of Work: Got quotes for 2 different jobs. The first was to remove a large oak tree by my house. Gray's quote was twice as high as the final cost from another tree service. The second job was chipping brush that I had cut and piled on my lot. The quote for this was $900. Since our village chips yard brush for free if it is moved to the street, I decided to simply move it to the street myself. I did so, it took about 3 hours and cost $0. $900 was an unreasonably high cost for this job. The village crew will chip this brush at the roadside in about 15-20 minutes... $900 seems very excessive for 20 minutes or even 2 or 3 hours of chipping work.

Description of Work: All of my dealings with the owner were via the phone. He responded to all calls and made two trips to quote the service because the tree was on the lot line and my neighbor changed his mind and wanted a quote with one to cut the tree down and one to trim. He was courteous and did the work promptly.

Description of Work: We had our trees trimmed. Initially the tree service complted their ork but we felt it was a very limited service. We called the business and told them of our concern. The owner returned and agreed. The workers returned and complted the work. On balance we were satisfied.

Description of Work: I had some old evergreen bushes on the side and in the front of my house. I have had several people come out and do estimates to remove them and then never get back to me. Even my lawn service that was suppose to remove them last spring never did the job. I really wanted to get them out before next spring. I called Gray Tree Service and they came out the same day as the call. They quoted me a price over the phone, I was at work. The bushes were removed that same day. The next day they came back and removed the stumps. It was neat clean and fast.

Description of Work: This is the third time I've given this review.. I dont remember the date of service, but they were very professional, asked what I wanted, and I let them decide which branches to trim.. they did a great job, spent more than I had hoped but they were very good. My neighbors were envious, and I'm sure if they could afford a thousand dollars they would have their trees trimmed also. All trees here are at least 40 years old. The date of service is approximate, because I dont remember and I'm not looking through my papers for the bill... Needless to say they called in a timely manner and were here when they said they would be..

Description of Work: Had to get a refund. I wanted a couple of branches off only from a few locations. Gray's quoted $850, and that guy said before he did any work, I would owe him $50, the offer did not even cover just the cost of getting to my location. I am guessing on this date... no work done - A local service cut them for free, they always clean my gutter every year. My guy there said it only took a couple of minutes.

Description of Work: We bought two "big deasl" - $99 for $200 work of tree trimming. He came out right away and gave us the quote. We were within the$400 for two coupons. He came out just a few days later and did the work. Quick, no mess, done....would highly recommend them.

Description of Work: Cut down dead tree. Removed all waste and left yard clean. He was a bit slow in responding to request for service but did excellent job when finally scheduled. Would utilize again.

Description of Work: The crew performed branch cutting and cut down of some smaller trees. They were very conscientious and cleaned all debris. They even performed additional tree trimming which was not included in the base price. The crew was very personable and they arrived when promised.

Description of Work: A broken branch needed to be removed, and it was quite large. As a result of the same storm there were several other broken branches higher up in the tree, trapped by branches and just waiting to fall down in the next wind. Several of Gray's workers came to take down the large branch, and after discussing the smaller broken branches with the owner, they also removed those at no additional cost. They were very efficient - everyone on the team knew their job well, performed it quickly, and they were done in less than an hour. Clean up was so good, you wouldn't know they were there! I would definitely hire them again. I give a less than perfect score only because it took a few weeks for them to schedule coming out - but I understand this was due to the amount of work they received as a result of the "Big Deal" offer.

Description of Work: I received four estimates for removing a large tree: $1,900, $2,000, $2,200 and finally $4,000 from Gray Tree Service. The other three were all well rated, so I never even considered Gray. So now am I out 2X $99?

Description of Work: We were able to take advantage of an Angie's List coupon where we spent $99 for $200 of Gray Tree Service. The estimate we received for removal of the tree, stump removal, firewood and some chips was $300. I took other estimates and Grays was more reasonable. Most estimates were around $350. It only cost us $200. The men were very professional. One gentleman even stacked the firewood for me, which I didn't expect. I had some young azaleas planted in front of the cedar they needed to take down. I just asked them if we could cover them, so they wouldn't be in the way. The guys said they would dig them up and replant them when they were done. I told them where I needed the chips and they relayed them across my fence and left them in a nice pile for me to redistribute; they really made it easy for me!

Description of Work: They chopped down and removed a 50 foot Ash tree, including the stump, with basically no damage to the lawn or property.
