We had just moved in a few months ago and needed to winterize sprinkler system. I found out the previous landscaper/sprinkler service was taking advantage of the previous owner, so I looked for a new vendor. Called 3 places and Auto-Matic was the first out of 2 that called us back. Based on reviews and my conversation with Larry (he's been in this work for 40 yrs), I went with him. He was very accommodating in scheduling a specific time that worked for my tight schedule (not a wide range, as many do), came right on time with an assistant. He turned off the water, did the winterization, told us how many zones we had, and found 2 broken heads, which we will address next spring. Removed the back flow pipe and brought it in so it won't freeze, and taped up the openings. Seemed competent, honest, reliable. When I mentioned Angie's, he gave me a 10% discount. He was also helpful in recommending a licensed RPZ (back flow) inspector for the spring.

Things went really smoothly. After they moved the sprinkler heads they tested the system and realized that there was also a broken line underground. They quickly found the line and fixed it. They cleaned up their work area and replaced as much of the torn-up sod as they could. The were very professional and knew what they were doing. I have been using them for several years or start-up/shut-down but this was the first real repair that they have done and I was very pleased.

Had several broken sprinkler heads replaced and leaking pipe repaired. Larry and Matt did a great job at a reasonable price. Very professional and quick. Have used other companies with poor and overpriced results. Highly recommended !!!

The repair went very well. Their staff showed up on time and were very efficient. Nice and respectful, as always. We have used Automatic Sprinkler for years. They first installed our sprinkler system several years ago. Over the years, Larry and family and staff have reconfigured my system by adding zones as my garden beds have grown. They have always responded quickly to our concerns, and have been able to work around our busy schedule. Sue is a pleasure to deal with on the phone, as well. We have been very happy with their work and will continue to use their services.

Larry installed my system almost 10 years ago and it has been a perfect solution to a family constantly on the go. We never need to worry about turning it on and off - it's all automatic. Plus, on the many occasions when I've added landscaping, Larry has come out to move things around or add sprinkler heads to accomodate our new plants. Auto-matic Lawn Sprinklers Inc was terrific. The service from Auto-matic Lawn Sprinklers Inc goes great twice a year. I have used them for 15 years. They come here in the spring and install the motor and make sure that all of the sprinklers are working properly. In the fall they make sure that the water is shut off, the component was removed and given to me to store and they blow out all of the water within the pipes to make sure that the pipes don't freeze. I have nothing to compare to but I would give them an 'A' simply because of their attitude. They seem to get right at it, get the job done and leave. We have used them for 15 years and the pricing has been pretty stable. I would rate them all 'A's across the board. I will use them in the future and I have already called them for this year.

They were very good. They came to our rescue because the original individual who put in the system disappeared. I was very pleased. The service was better and less expensive. They operate with 2 individuals which means one person can be on the outside and the other person at the automatic computerized system in the basement. They got back and forth with the walkie-talkie. They were able to communicate on what kind of adjustments to be made. They were efficient and friendly. In terms of punctuality, I remember having a complaint. They never gave me a window to come within that. I paid close to $500 annually for the service with my previous guy. It was less expensive and it was $95 a service call. That’s the basic cost and if they need to do repairs then I pay for the parts.

We have been using Auto-Matic (Larry) and crew since moving to Northbrook in 2008. Larry and his team are always punctual, professional and very cost competitive. Sue, who runs the office ,calls to confirm appointments and gives you a reasonable window. They've been extremely accommodating to my crazy schedule. Larry has come out on weekend short notice when we've noticed issues in the system. Overall a great group to work with and plan to use them in the future.

The company that we have used for many years just closed without telling us and we didn't have anyone to turn on our sprinkler system. I looked in Angie's List and found about 4 companies, I called them and left messages. I ended up speaking to a couple of them and when they heard what our situation was, this company said that they would fit us in so they were very accommodating and they asked all the relevant questions over the phone, didn't act like I was stupid when they asked if I had that kind of valve or this kind of valve and I didn't know what they were talking about, that they were respectful and understanding. They came out exactly when they said they would and one thing I like about them is they bring 2 people to the appointment so that when they're turning on the system, they have one person in the home at the computer system with the arrangement of the sprinklers, they have their own zones, they go on on different times, and they have one person outside and they're using walkie-talkies letting each other know what's happening on the outside versus how it's being programmed on the inside and so it went much faster. Since we paid for just a fat fee that if it had run over, we would have paid additional but we also got a 10% off because of Angie's List. They explained to us what they were doing and all went very quickly and it cost half the amount of what I had paid in the past. The pricing was excellent, it was less than what I anticipated. They are now our new sprinkler system company.

Larry Pink from Automatic and some of his men turned our sprinkler system on for us, as they do every year. I happened to be outside as they were testing out all the sprinkler heads. They did a thorough job and didn't rush at all. They tested each section and there was no problem at all. I never had a problem with my sprinklers since the day they installed them. It has been at least 10 years and I am so happy with Automatic. My neighbors even use them for turn ons and turn offs even though another company installed theirs. They answered questions that I had and explained things to me. They never rushed me and I know they are very busy.I would highly recommend them.

I have experienced various irrigation system services but never one as responsive, fair and competent as this one. I was provided a date and time of service and, to my great surprise, they were there! They turned on my irrigation system, explained what repairs were required, made the necessary repairs and, most importantly, what subsequent steps should be undertaken to insure such repairs would not have to be repeated. The cost for this work was very fair and, to say the very least, I highly recommend this service. Too bad all businesses were not run as efficiently and effectively as this one.
