The service man was friendly and informative. He noticed that the garage door tracks were not aligned properly and too the time to unbolt and adjust one track for no extra charge. He also provided some tips on how to keep the garage door in good working order. The key code pad was installed perfectly and we have had no problems since.

The tech took a look at the door and said that I didn't need what I purchased. Why I LOVE this company was that he felt guilty simply leaving. He greased the motor on BOTH of my garage doors and spent 10 minutes telling me how I could keep my doors in tip-top shape. That is the definition of professionalism.

Service provider was very cordial and professional. Explained functionality of garage door, troubleshot problems had been experiencing with current keypad and resolved problems without needing to install new pad.

They were late. That is my ONLY gripe. I don't remember the gentleman's name but he was friendly and professional. He installed a door seal that had extra rubber because I was having water coming into the garage. He also saw that the rail for the garage door drive was not secure; something that I never noticed. He did a little extra work to make up for his tardiness and I very much appreciated that. Upon completion, he gave me some tips on how to maintain the door's drive and chain. I would use them again and recommend them.

I had been looking for years to close the gap from the concrete to my garage door...but no one knew where to get a new garage door seal. So when I saw this, I jumped right on it! American Doors came out within a few weeks and replaced the seal with one that was a few inches thicker so there would be no gaps between the concrete and door. Eureka! In addition they ensured the slide seals were tight as well. I couldn't be happier!

It was simple. He was in and out in an hour and provided recommendations for maintenance and replacement in the future years.

Richard was on time, friendly and completed the job in a quality manner. He took the extra steps to check the motion sensors to ensure working properly and applied WD 40 to the hinges.

The woman who sets up the appointments called when I was not home, to say that the owner would be in Darien the following Saturday. Because I was not home to take this call, we played phone tag for a few weeks. Evidentally this person places the calls for the appointments in the evening. I say this because when I called and the owner answered, he said to wait for a call from Vicki. I called Angie's list because Vicki was not returning my call! Angie's staff contacted them and she phoned me the same evening to apologize. After that it went smoothly with Rich Cruz promptly coming to the door. He looked over the garage door and detailed what he was about to do. It took an hour to complete and then Mr. Cruz took time to encourage me to spray the metal areas that affect the action of the door. He checked the sensors, raising and lowering the door several times. He explained that he wanted to be sure it was smooth and an even seal. I took the company card and believe them to be trustworthy. I do not know how long they have been in business and wondered due to the appointment issue. We discussed this and Mr. Cruz explained that they try to arrange appointments in the same area on the same day.

He arrived on time. It was a cold day out. He replaced the bottom rubber strip on the garage door. He also check over the system and lubricated as needed. He explained to me the regular maintenance we could perform. He was a pleasant and cordial. I would use him again.

I had already paid for the bumper thing at the bottom of the garage door so there was no additional charge for that. He did point out that the sides along the building where the garage door fits were deteriorating and he offered to replace them which seemed like a really good idea and he did that for $60. The gentleman who came out was very knowledgeable and efficient and he did a good job. He was a nice guy.

We decided to replace our old, wooden, heavy garage door but of course, our garage door opener went out first. So we were manually opening the garage (how did we do it before remotes?). I went on Angie's List and called several vendors. You won't believe some of the responses I got -- " no we don't come after 5" "I'm not sure when I'll be in the area again" "the door will take 2 weeks to order"' etc. I called Richard at American Doors and he came out that day EVEN THOUGH I WASN'T HOME (working to pay for the door). He left an estimate and brochure in my mailbox. His price was competitive but more importantly, his response time was exceptional. I called him back the next day (Friday) to order the door. Richard said he could install it on Tuesday at 10. I told him I had a doctor's appointment but would be back by 10. Well, I didn't get home until 10:15 and Richard was already at my home working on the garage door opener. His price was fair, he was punctual and professional -- the door is beautiful -- I couldn't be happier. If you need a garage door replaced or repaired, American Doors is the company to call.

He explained why he couldn't respond the phone the first time. He did a great job in the COLD weather. He explained everything to my husband. Very professional! We are very happy with his services. He explained the kind of garage opener and what had to be done. Many things that we really didn't know. Great service!

It was a great experience. He arrived promptly, and set right to work. Explained what he would be doing, and asked me questions about the placement of the the door sensors, the keyless entry on the outside of the garage and the keypad in the garage. When he was finished, he explained how the unit worked - including showing me how to program the remotes and the keyless entry. Very professional; definitely would recommend him to others!

Everything turned out great. He installed a tab and instructed me on how to use the tab. He provided me with troubleshooting steps. He also inspected and serviced my garage door. It was definitely a job well done. I would use them again in the future and recommend them to others.

The owner/proprietor did a great job! He was knowledgeable, honest and quite a good value too. Plus, he seemed like a very good person to boot. I'd definitely recommend him.

No problems, seemless installation.

On time, performed the work, but for some reason he installed on the front of the garage facing the street vs. on the side facing the garage door.

It went well. I do not have a problem with the product or the installation.

It went great! He arrived about an hour later than he expected, but he did a great job. He did several checks on our garage door that no one had ever done before, including testing if our garage door came down "too hard" before it reversed back up (like it is supposed to if something is in the way). He adjusted the opener as a result of that test, which I appreciated because I have little kids and I want it to reverse without much resistance. Overall - I was pleased with his service and would use him again in a heartbeat.
