+ -1 moreEverything was done in 2 weeks total The first week, was meticulous measuring, and removing my old beat up screens, and the next week was installation. My brand new custom screens, look beautiful, and fit perfectly. Greg did a perfect job, and the price was good. I am a very happy lady.

+ -1 moreAmerican doors is a professional contractor, I am very thankful that he cleaned up the mess made by up and down doorz, necked wires, improperly installed garage door opener and other shoddy work.
Description of Work: called after UP and down doorz refused to respond. initial contract with up and down doorz. up and down doorz installed a new garage, the next day something happened and the garage door would not open. After calling the initial contractor and being told he would seen someone out, which he never did, He stop answering his phone. i was also told by the owner that I would receive a receipt by computer, I have yet to receive a receipt for the $125 I paid him in cash. after that EXPERIENCE, I read that he had done the same thing to another customer. I definitely would not recommend Angies list to anyone after my experience with Up and Down Doorz. Still waiting for my receipt.

+ -1 moreWe had our garage door opener replaced. They were good about scheduling coming out to install, on time etc. The issue has been their lack of response since the installation. We had some issues early on. Someone called after we left a message but said they were out of town and could not help. Since that time whenever we have called there has been no response.

He responded to all my messages promptly. We found a time that worked in my busy schedule. He came on time and was efficient. Cleaned up when done. + -1 moreI found this in the deals section "Garage Door Spring Replacement" what I didn't realize and the ad didn't state was that it was for one spring. Most garages have two springs and when he arrived he said if one is broken the other should also be replaced. So rather than costing $180 which the ad states as the price, we wound up paying $260. A competing ad is very clear about the service, "for 1 garage door spring replacement, labor and materials included" Just be very clear with this company what you will get for the money.

Richard was able to diagnose the issue over the phone and recommended repairing rather than replacing (which would've been almost twice the money). He came out the next business day and called ahead to confirm the appointment time. He fixed the door quickly and also performed a bunch of other maintenance work on the door. I would recommend him highly.

He was very engaging and friendly. Would defiantly recommend him to my friends and family and if we have a problem in the future would certainly call him. Price was amazing for the complete tune up we got.

Description of Work: Took more than 4 weeks to respond. Finally, when he came I have no idea what I paid for. I wanted to get weather strip replaced under the garage door and keyless entry pad replaced. He charged me $150 on top of 75$ that I had paid to 'Angies List'. The key less pad costs $19 online. He was just interested in making money out of me.
