I am disappointed in Great Recover Construction's lack of follow through. Their lack of professionalism in the beginning of the job will certainly carry through to the end. Their inability to communicate with their customer in a timely and honest manner needs work.

At first very well. I liked Roman very much and was most likely going to use his services. I had sent him the kitchen design and other sketches he had requested. Almost a week went by and I hadn't heard back from him. I sent him a note that the work would be a bit less. He responded and told me he couldn't do my project because of other work. I sent back a reply that he should have told me that from the beginning. He then sent me a surly note stating I had sent him some correspondence by mistake and he thought it wouldn't work out. I told him UP FRONT, I was getting other estimates. Apparently he didn't like that. was surprised by his change of attitude. He does seem to have good ideas and knows what he's talking about, but I didn't appreciate him wasting my time.

.This was a Big Deal...$349.00 for 10 hours of handyman work. Roman worked efficiently but for 5 hours instead of ten. He was reluctant to do more so I did not insist. Thus the rate was closer to $70.00 per hour.. He is starting out in business so he is inexperienced in deals and probably arranged for more than he could provide.

He took care in providing advice as well as performing the service. He displayed professionalism and a desire to serve the customer.

Roman did a great work and in a very timely fashion.

The crown molding installation went very well, and the provider worked with us to keep the project within our budget, explaining to us what finishing work would be required. The door frame repair was also done quickly and completely.

Purchased deal on Angie's List for 10 hours of work. Responsive to scheduling request. Roman arrived with a colleague and they got right to work, one tackling one project and the other another project. Roman stopped from time to time to provide me updates and/or ask questions. They did very nice work and worked efficiently, which I very much appreciated. They cleaned up after they finished. I will definitely use their services again.

Roman was very timely with responding to us. We had some poor experiences with contractors not calling us back. Roman was very honest about when he would be able to come out to do the job, and answered all emails and calls. His coworker and him finished and did great. The shelves are all even, and the grout looks beautiful. We will definitely call again to schedule any further needed work!

Great! Roman was a true professional. He was in touch before the job, very attentive to details and the work turned out beautifully. He and his partner were very polite and put in a long day on a Sunday to get the job done perfectly. He gave some other suggestions as well -- will use again!

Roman arrived on time today. He explained to me that a bigger adjustment would be needed for the rough opening than he originally thought and that I needed to purchase additional 2 x 4s(which turned out I didn't need). No problem. The adjustment may require the wall to be repainted, which would also require the surrounding other two walls to be painted so they match. When I asked if there were other options..as I wanted to avoid repainting the 12 ft walls if possible, immediately he says he can leave and I can get my money back. What???? Long story short I paid for ten hours through Angies list. Roman originally told me it would take 8 hours(4 hours each worker) to install and paint the doors. When I would checkin with him on the job it appeared that one guy would be working when the other was watching. Ten hours later (5 hours each) only the install was done. He put his tools away and suggested I get someone else to prime and paint the doors. I didn't understand as he didn't want to finish the job. He said it could take an additional 2 - 3 hours. I agreed to the additional time and he asked me four times ARE YOU GONNA PAY ME, ARE YOU GONNA PAY ME?? We had already discussed the additional cost. I didn't know where that came from. 4 hours( 8 hours total) later, one and a half doors were primed. Once again one guy working and the other basically standing around. When I asked him about the amount of time to finish the job, he no longer felt comfortable completing the job and asked me to pay for the 8 hours (4 hours each). I asked him to stay and he wouldn't. He went on and on about the good deal I got through Angies list and how he had to pay them for marketing fees. I gave him a check for the time spent, he complained about the rating I gave him, then he left. I am left with two unpainted, uninstalled doors in my garage not knowing what to do. This was a very disappointing experience and I will never hire them again. The two guys did not work well together as they should have accomplished so much more.

Roman was a fantastic carpenter! I could not be more delighted with the work that was performed in our house. From the first phone call, to the final days Roman impressed me with his ability, professionalism, and attention to detail. To begin with, Roman was continually in communication as to when he would arrive, be it for the visit to give an estimate, to daily work. I was extremely impressed with his concern that we were kept in the loop. Not only did he let use know when to expect him, he arrived on time, which is fairly impressive, given that his drive to our house was over an hour each way from the city! Once he began work, I immediately knew that I had chosen the right company. Roman's attention to detail was terrific. After seeing the subtle things that he did, I thought "well sure, of course it should be that way!"...but no other worker had ever finished off the job in that manner. For example, we have a cable line running into the house and the installer simply mashed the wire under the junction box, and ran it to my TV. Roman, drilled out a hole in the junction box and ran the cable through the side. After seeing Roman's work, it is obvious that the cable should be affixed that way....yet neither the cable installer, nor myself thought to run it in such a manner. This is a small point, but it shows Roman has thought about the "right way" to finish off every job. After seeing the craftsmanship Roman put into the creation of the stair's newel post, I hired Roman on for two other major projects in the house: Installing hardwood flooring and installing wainscoting in the basement and master bedroom. With the completion of all three projects. my house is transformed, and I am still marveling at how wonderful it looks, and how expertly Roman completed every job! Do not let the fact that Roman is younger than some contractors hold you back from hiring him! This man has shown more professionalism that any other contractor that I have ever used. Moreover, his endurance is amazing. He would routinely start work before 8 am, and work until 7-9 at night....six days a week! I have no reservations about recommending this company for your work. In fact, we have agreed to another two projects in the future to finish off everything that I want updated in my house!

Roman communicated promptly that he would not be able to work on my punch list right away but we found an agreeable date and he arrived promptly. He and his partner did a great job!

We love our new stairs. The Built in is great and has really brought the room together. Work was done quickly.

I actually hired another company through Angie's list to do the work we needed however they were so booked they sub contracted the work to Roman at Great Recover Construction. Roman and his guys were prompt, courteous and their attention to detail was extreme! They were pleasant to have around and left the job site tidy at the end of each day. The end product was exactly what I was looking for with a quality that far exceeded my expectations. Roman is truly a skilled carpenter that has pride in is work that shows through in the final product. We love how it turned out and would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for carpentry work.

Roman contacted me after purchasing the carpentry deal. Explained he would contact me as soon as he had time to schedule my project. Contacted me within two weeks and luckily, when he was available I had the day off. Showed up on time. All the proper tools. Had weird angles that needed to be cut in crown molding. Though they seem the same type of angle, each one was differed because it is a high rise building and things shift. I thought Initially I could do this and quickly found myself over my head! He, on the other hand, was highly skilled at his craft. Finished the job off on time, if not early. It looks incredible! Very impressed with his skill! He and his associate cleaned up, explained all they did, and left as professionally as the came!

Roman responded very quickly to get a date and time set up. He called the night before to let us know something came up and asked if he could push it out a few hours. I appreciated the advanced notice versus waiting to hear from him the next morning he wouldn't be there. Once they got to our home, they were very efficient in getting the work done. The quality was great. And, they made sure to clean up after themselves. They were extremely professional to deal with. Roman was very concerned about making sure I was happy with the work. I will use them again in the future, and I would not hesitate to recommend them.

Roman and co-worker came on busy w/e time and did fantastic work getting doors al installed very nicely for a house that was difficult to work with. Roman has the best equipment allowing him to do custom carpentry for bi job and also does all sorts of small jobs. I will recommend him to friends. You will not go wrong with these guys.
