After my initial call, I received a follow up call in about 15 minutes confirming that a technician could be out in a half hour. I agreed, and he arrived in a half hour as promised. The technician sprayed the nest and after a short while removed the bottom half using a blade at the end of a long pole. The technician collected the portions of the nest that fell to the ground and took them with him. He stated that he would come back in a few days to remove the top half of the nest. He did as promised; however, I was not home when he came back the second time so I have no further details, other than that the nest was completely removed.

Began hearing scratching at night in wall or ceiling of second story. Called AMPEST because we were not sure if it was a squirrel, raccoon, or other. Bob inspected the area of our home to make sure siding, flashing and roof was intact. Upon entering the attic, he found that the dryer vent hose had been torn away (probably when it was cleaned last year) from the roof and confirmed the entry point. Upon further inspection of areas that were scratched, it was confirmed we had a mouse. Set a bait trap and we have no more noise in the attic at night!

Bob was fearless! He wore no protective clothing and stood near the hive the entire time he was working. (This I watched from the safety of my kitchen window!) Bob was very knowledgeable about the hornets and assured us that we were doing nothing to attract them (this is the 3rd nest in as many years) and that the cause for their continued reappearance probably stemmed from the close proximity of the trees that they were getting their nest material from. The nest was then bagged and was taken off of our property. The job was done quickly, efficiently and within the price I was quoted. I originally contacted AMPEST because of their stellar reviews on Angie's List. I will continue to use and recommend AMPEST because of the quality service we received and their reasonable price. (Even if Bob did not believe my Blue Jay story!)

Went very well - the company was very responsive and did everything they promised - they were out daily setting traps and removing trapped squirrels.

They seemed to know over the phone from my description what the problem might be and when they came out and assessed the situation they were right on. They did a nice job of educating me about carpenter bees and how to deal with the situation. I like the 60 day guarantee! I would call them again if I have any other "pesty" problems.

This was the first time that I used them, and I don’t have a contract with them. They were very good, and I was happy with their work. They came on time and did not take long. I have a tenant that has a mother who is 95 years old, and they told me there would not be any problem concerning the pesticides that they were using. Their price was average. I would use them again in the future if necessary.

They told me they would have someone out there that day. The representative arrived that afternoon and explained the procedures to me in detail. On Thursday, May 19th the skunk was trapped and removed. They followed up with an inspection the follwing day to confirm there was no more activity at the burrow. I was very satisfied with the service.

I heard scratching/digging noises and an occasional peep or chirp coming from inside an exterior wall. I made an appointment with Ampest to come the following morning. The noise stopped several hours before the Ampest technician was scheduled to arrive. When the Ampest man did arrive -- right on time -- he first examined the outside of my home for possible breaches, where an animal might have entered. Then he climbed into my tiny attic through an access panel in the bedroom ceiling. That's where he found the dead bird, which, as he put it, "was pretty fresh." He looked for evidence of other animals, but found only bird nesting materials. He was confident that the body he found was the unfortunate bird who had been scratching in the wall. Since I've heard no noises since -- and notice no unpleasant smells -- I'm confident he was right. He bagged the bird and, since the issue was resolved so quickly, he charged me only half the price I'd been quoted on the phone!

One day I noticed some insects buzzing around the chimney of my home. Turned out to be yellow jackets. They found a small gap between the cedar siding and the brick chimney. After going through four cans of wasp and hornet spray over a four day period, I still had yellow jackets. After searching the Internet, I found out the only effective way to eliminate the nest was to inject a powdered form of insecticide into the gap. That way, the insects would carry the powder back into the nest. At that point I figured out I would be better off calling a professional. I called Ampest on a Friday afternoon. They told me what it would cost and what they were going to do, so I scheduled a 12pm appointment for Monday. The technician showed up right on time, checked out the situation, put on protective clothing, and took care of the problem. He explained that I might see activity around the nest for about 24 hours. He also said to call them back if the nest wasn't eliminated. A few days later, no more yellow jackets.

I called AMPEST Th am and they said they could come out Th afternoon. As promised, the tech did show up and discussed w/ me the best plan of action for my problems. Within 15 mins the treatment was done. I am crossing my fingers that AMPEST solved my problems. So far, so good. Also, they do offer a 30 day guarantee, so if necessary, they will come back out for free. Jane from the office had great customer service skills. She followed up w/ me after the service to make sure I was happy. Overall, a good service experience.

We had thousands of mid-sized black ants all around the house and on the deck. Ampest sprayed around the house (and found some nests it treated), and, for now, we do not have the problem anymore. I had another company treat last year without such good results.

Overall, everything went well. They said if we seen any ants after they sprayed, the next visit within (I believe 60 days) was of no charge.

Called Ampest due to Yellowjackets getting into house on daily basis. They came same day I called and treated the nest. Had to call again because pests were still getting in about a week later. They returned immediately after my call and found a second nest at the peak of the roof and treated it. Took care of the problem.

We moved into a home in the fall of 2007 which had been empty through the summer. Upon arrival we discovered that Asian beetles and other bugs had taken the opportunity to move in. Since we were new to the area, we went to the phone book and called Ampest Exterminating. We were very lucky to have found them. We explained our situation and they came out right away and sprayed both the inside and outside of our home. The bugs were gone after a couple of days and no new ones came in their place. So when the summer came and we were faced with carpenter bees digging into our deck and bombing our children, we knew just who to call. We were so impressed with the efficient service and friendly approach of this company that we decided to get on a quarterly program with them.
