Description of Work: Replaced electric water heater on $888 deal (plus $65 for permit). Had questions about availability of other models that telephone scheduler was unable to answer. I trust the co. so the model is fine. I would have liked to know what it would have cost to install an energy star rated unit but, in the end, I just needed it replaced and YMC got that done quickly.

Description of Work: They fixed an outdoor faucet that had frozen. They needed to replace the faucet and part of the pipe under the house. They professional and fast.

Description of Work: When Darren came out, I showed him the outside faucet. I told him I thought it was just the faucet & he shook his head and asked if I had a crawl space. He then came inside and said he would have to make a hole in the wall to access the pipe. I said again that I thought it was the faucet and he acted as if he didn't hear me. Then he began banging a hole in the wall & found it to be plywood. He went back & forth to his truck several times. Then he was outside at the faucet, he knocked on the door & said my faucet needed a washer. Then said he was giving me a discount - charging me $100. I paid, but have a hole in my wall that wasn't fixed and paid $100 for a washer. I feel I was over charged. If he would have checked the faucet at 1st, all this wouldn't have happened. I would like my case to be re-evaluated and to be charged a fairer price. | |Nora Sage

Description of Work: Saved our radiator system from running dry this winder -10 below weather, road closings, on that worst day last year. No one else would come or walk me through it: Mattex stayed on the phone to trouble shoot, and when it was clear the system was *dry* they came out within the hour. Heroic, awesome. Then we used them again to put in a failsafe in our boiler (that's what the high cost was). Recommend!

Description of Work: Repaired a bathroom single handled faucet that was leaking. He brought the part needed after inquiring over the phone re: the brand and type of faucet. He was efficient and tidy. We had also requested an estimate for a possible installation of water connection for a new refrigerator we considered getting. He examined our kitchen set up and reported that the owner would get back to us on the actual estimate after returning Monday from a weekend trip. We did not hear from the owner. We have not recontacted the company since we have not yet purchased the refrigerator.

Description of Work: Called last week for help assessing work for a drain needing a backflow valve. He said he would come by 10/16, but did not give a specific time. He never showed up, nor did he call to say he wouldn't make it. Now I have to find another plumber and wait another week to be seen.
