Description of Work: Stabilized a scale stick mounting to the wall replaced the scale stick to the coffee brewers. Anchored down a counter-top sink that had come loose with brackets. He was very neat and professional.

Description of Work: One cold morning (January) I discovered we were not getting any hot water. I called "Big Dog Plumbing" because they are so highly rated in Angie's List and they sure didn't let me down. Marty arrived very quickly - less than an hour of my calling. He evaluated our waterheater problem and had it fixed in about 30 minutes. The interesting thing is that my husband is a waterheater salesman and knows waterheaters inside & out but he was out of town that day. When I spoke to him on the phone he said "Call a plumber but DON'T let them sell you a new water heater. I know what's wrong with ours and it's just a part that's gone out. We don't need a new heater." When Marty arrived he didn't even MENTION a new waterheater. He said: "It's a particular part that's gone out and I can fix it for you right now." The whole bill, including Marty's travel time, was only $80 which about blew my husband away. He said "WOW! That's VERY reasonable! I don't think I could have fixed it for that". So we'll definitely be using Marty and Big Dog Plumbing from here out. He's prompt, professional, accurate, and very fair with what he charges. Doesn't get any better than that!

 + 0 moreVery well - highly recommend them. Since I was managing my own install, they listened, offered alternatives and advice, and outlined potential pitfalls I may face. They also recommended other contractors with whom I was also very pleased. They were punctual, efficient and polite. They also cleaned up after themselves which I found to be a huge bonus.
Description of Work: We remodeled an open attic space into a bathroom. The contractor was responsible for all plumbing aspects - drains, vents, shower/sink/toilet plumbing, including running pipes from second floor down to crawlspace and attaching to existing drains. They also installed all fixtures.

 + 0 moreOriginally I had called them the day my basement flooded and I needed someone out quickly to repair a broken pipe in the wall. MaryAnn answered right away when I called (no frustrating voicemail). They were in the middle of another repair and couldn't get to me right away, but they helped me find someone else who could help, then called back later to make sure everything had worked out okay. I thought that was exceptionally nice of them. That was even BEFORE I hired them to do anything for me. You don't often find customer service like that even from people you've paid. I felt that their service from beginning to end was very competent, professional, and they went the extra mile not only because it was good business but because they really care about helping people.
Description of Work: I had a frost-free yard hydrant that wasn't working, and I had been told that my well tank in the house should have more compressed air put in it. Marty arrived right on time and brought his compressor, and looked at the hydrant to see the brand so he could tell if he could repair it instead of replacing it. He made a second trip to get a compressor adapter for my well tank and to bring both a repair kit and replacements for the hydrant. He managed to repair the existing hydrant without replacing it, so he saved me some money. I was very happy with the service.

 + -1 moreThe work done by them was okay. The problem is back again even after I paid them the money that they charged. I called them and they came back to fix it again. So, the problem hasn?t yet been resolved and I wasn?t going to have them come back twice. The plumber fixed the leak, but he didn?t have the tools and didn?t know as to how to hook up the water line. He also made the handle on the faucet worse in the process of fixing my kitchen sink. The handle is very loose now and that?s why I had him come back to fix the handle. He tried and fixed it. It was fine for a week and now it?s loose again. Their responsiveness was good, as they followed up to see if the problem was resolved. I didn?t get the feeling that they were trying to rip me off. They were punctual, as they were on time, but I wouldn?t use their services in the future.
Description of Work: I used the services of Big Dog Plumbing to fix a leak in my kitchen sink and that was the original problem. I also wanted to install a hose behind the refrigerator to hook up the water line.

 + -1 moreThe problem was that my tenant had a frozen line. Marti went out to the tenant?s house and diagnosed the problem. He responded to my needs instantly. He called me and let me know what was happening. He got a special machine for lines that were a combination of metal and PVC. He called me when the work was completed. He solved the problem. Overall, my experience with him was great. I?ll definitely use him again.

The work turned out great and everything was perfect. We thought that the quality of work was good. They charged us just the minimum amount for coming out to the house. I would rate them highly and would use them in the future.

Description of Work: Whilst we were out of the country, our housesitter discovered a water leak on our garage. As per our instructions, she called Marty Roberts at Big Dog Plumbing. He came out promptly and repaired a broken water pipe. He performed this service even though he knew were were away and would not be able to write a check until we returned two months later. I would highly recommend Big Dog Plumbing to any one who needs plumbing services, either for a regular job or for an emergency.

 + -1 moreThe day before the work was to be done I received a reminder call so I wouldn't forget the appointment. Marty arrived on time and quickly assessed the problems. He couldn't perform the work on the spot and arranged to return when it was best for my schedule. Marty was prompt and efficient, the work was done in just a few hours. He did some small extras that I wasn't expecting but were much appreciated. Marty's wife is a joy to talk with on the phone, she is a real asset to the company.
Description of Work: I had a hose bib installed in the front of the house and a frozen line repaired on the hose bib in the back. Also Marty installed a drain in the line so that it won't freeze again.

He makes that extra effort to make you feel good about what's getting done. He uses high quality products and does it right the first time around. I feel comfortable recommending him to anyone and I will use him again.
Description of Work: He did work for us a few years ago in an upstairs bathroom- sink tub and fixtures, last year masterbath room- installing new fixtures and a claw tub, this year basement- installed a pump to fix water pressure, and water softener.

I called for my own personel house and had the Big Dog here in a matter of hours. Work was done in a very professional manner (clean, fast, cost effective). Marty Roberts arrived at my home to prepare an estimate right at the appointed time. He was very knowledgeable about what needed to be done and made several helpful suggestions. His pleasant personality and friendly attitude were greatly appreciated. I felt his estimate was reasonable. Although I did not personally meet the other partner in this company, Mary Ann Roberts, she was also very pleasant and helpful in our phone conversations. My first encounter with this company was a good one and I will be in touch with them again.
Description of Work: Update old plumbing in bathroom (remove tile and cut wall to install new shower, valves and bathtub drain) and update kitchen sink plumbing.
