I called Friday morning expecting a future appointment but he came out within a few hours and fixed everything we needed. We had a few other questions that he was able to answer along with a few useful tips and advice. He was very nice and professional. The price was very reasonable. He gave us no hard sell on expensive 'remedies' that we now know wouldn't have worked (unlike another plumber we had out here a few years ago.) All of the good reviews on this site are accurate.....we will definitely use Big Dog again!THANKS BIG DOG!

It was great - reasonable, professional, nice. i would absolutely use again! Both Marty and his wife were very helpful - i can't believe he was willing to take time out of his Sunday to help. it was priceless! I would highly recommend. And he was very nice to my furry, four-legged kids.

Todd was very professional, he knew right away what the problem was, whereas when I had a plumber (from a large, well-known company), in last year due to a backed up sink, I mentioned the problem with my faucet, (no water pressure and waiting longer than usual for the water to get even warm), and was told he would need to come back another day - it could be a number of problems. Todd knew right away all I needed was a new cartridge, although I did opt to install a new faucet due to the age of orignal one. Will definitely use this company again for my plumbing needs and will recommend them to my friends. I am comtemplating a bathroom remodel and they will be first on my list.

When Big Dog arrived, on time, with all the new fixtures for the install, it was discovered that two of the commodes were on 10 inch centers instead of the standard 12 inch centers. They re-installed the old toilets that had been removed, re-ordered correctly sized toilets for us and returned a third time for the final install. All this service with no extra charge to us. The final install of sink, disposal and toilets was professional, done on time and finished professionally. They used heavy blankets to protect the floors and left the house clean and undisturbed . Big Dog Plumbing is very reasonable, experienced and accommodating. This was one of the best experiences we have ever had with a plumbing company, and we are so pleased with the results. Marty, Mary Ann and crew are an exceptionally customer oriented company with terrific service and very reasonable rates. We would absolutely work with them again.

When I called Big Dog Plumbing, the lady who answered the phone was able to arrange an appointment the very next morning. The plumber (company owner, Marty Roberts) arrived on time. He was professional, clean, and nicely dressed. Within moments, he had ascertained the source of the problem and fixed it. I was happily surprised to learn that the charge for this call-out and repair was but $60.00. I doubt there is a company in the Treasure Valley that would have charged less...and I'm quite sure there are many that would have charged a good deal more. I was completely satisfied with my experience with Big Dog Plumbing, and won't hesitate to call them again whenever the need arises. Nor would I hesitate to recommend Big Dog to anyone in need of plumbing work.

if there was an A+ grade, i would give it to big dog plumbing. highly recommended!! i called and described the problem as best i could. (i am by no means a plumbing or even home maintenance expert, so i may not have used correct terminology in my descriptions on the phone. sorry, marty!) marty scheduled an appt for the next morning, he called me when he was en route, and he arrived on time. after looking at every possible point of entry for the water, indoors and out, we discussed several things that could be causing the leak. knowing the age of my home, the most likely scenario was that tree roots had invaded the ancient sewer pipes, or that the pipes and/or mortar joining them had cracked over time, so we scheduled a follow-up appt for the next day to scope and snake the sewer and related piping. time-consuming and expensive, but i was resigned because what are you going to do/you need to have working toilets! :) the next day, i had to work so a friend came over and stayed while marty was at my house. turns out the source of the leak was shoddy workmanship on the part of a different contractor who'd installed my heater and air conditioner ten years ago: a hose was crimped so badly into an outflow pipe (i hope i described that properly) that it was only a matter of time before this kind of leak happened, and the straw that broke the camel's back, rhetorically speaking, was my running the air conditioner at a much lower setting than usual for the comfort of an elderly, arthritic dog! the things we do for love, eh? :) this is my 1st time using a referral from angie's list. i chose big dog plumbing over a larger, arguably more well-known company i'd used in the past based on the strength of the angie's list reports, and i am extremely happy with the experience. thank you, marty!!

They scheduled my visit quickly, arrived on time and got it fixed. What more could I ask for?

Marty came out to find a leak in my plumbing system. He was on time and called me just before arriving. He inspected my pipes under my bathroom but could not find any obvious leaks. He then used an inspection video camera to verify there were no leaks in this area. After spending approximately 45 minutes looking, he found water bubbling up from the main line near the foundation under the house. Since I had told him that I had Leak Guard insurance coverage, he suggested that I call them. He also left me a card just in case they were not able to help me. I would definitely have him back out if I have plumbing issues in the future.

Old dishwasher was not installed correctly. To install the new dishwasher Big Dog had to go under house and drill new holes in floor and to route new hoses. He didn't have all the parts he needed so he left and returned shortly to finish the job. Finished installing new dishwasher around 6PM and had to come back another day to install new faucet outside. He did not charge for extra time after 5. When he returned to finish installing the outside faucet he again had to go under the house. This was not an easy job, but he did it without a single word or comment. Very professional and I would not hesitate to call him again.

Big Dog came out and had is resolved in about 30 minutes. I've used them before for a much larger job and both times they were excellent! They are my 1st choice in plumbing.

I called Big Dog Plumbing on Tuesday and was given an appointment of 10:00 a.m. on Thursday. On Thursday morning I received a confirmation call from Marty and he was on his way to our home. By 12:30 p.m. the job was done. I had been online to check on the price of the toilet I wanted. I described the toilet to Marty and he gave me a price for the job and said he could do it right now. I said yes, and he went to purchase the toilet I had described. He came back and put down heavy plastic around the work area, then he had a shop vac and removed the water from the old toilet, asked me if I wanted him to take it away for us and took it out to his truck. Pretty soon he was all done. This was a 'right-height' toilet with a bigger bowl and a self-closing lid. He showed me the features of the toilet and how to remove the seat for the easiest cleaning. I did not see a drop of water on my floors and there were no scuff marks on the woodwork, even though the bathroom was small, as far as a work area for him to work in. Marty was very professional, respectful of our property, and definitely knew what he was doing. I think he could have replaced the toilet in his sleep. The price was exactly what he quoted.

He called to say he was on his way; he came on time. He went right to work and did not waste any time; he was very pleasant. The bill was less than the approximate quote given over the phone because I had the sink parts. He correct an error the sink installer had made in the drainage pipe. I would definitely call him and recommend him.

Didn't have enough wire to finish the job, left the unit exposed overnight and returned the next day to finish. AC unit was not level and had to have them come back a third time.

The plumber was excellent. He came right away and was very professional.
