I recently bought a house. It needed just one shingle replaced. The roof is 13 years old so we'll be needing one soon. I thought companies would 'think' that way, but no. I could not get a roofer to come out. It wasn't worth their time and not enough money in it for them. I found LaFever through Angie's List and emailed them, explaining my situation. They called me today and sent someone out. He took care of the repair and even repaired a couple extra things. Great guy, great customer service. When we need a roof, do you know who I'm calling first? Yep, LaFever. They were the only ones to take care of my small repair. Thanks!

I called and left a VM after 5pm during the week about my leaky roof problems. I got a prompt call back the following morning. I spoke with Terry and he said he could swing by that afternoon. I was only aware of 2 spots on the roof that I knew were leaking, including one which had resulted in damage inside my house. Terry inspected the whole roof and found 5 spots that needed repairs. He explained that the spots that were not leaking now (that I knew of) would start leaking eventually if they were not repaired. He took pictures of all the areas and explained why the one spot in particular which caused the house damage was causing such a problem. I had another roof company come out that same morning and they only looked at the one spot that I knew of. They did not inspect the roof at all to see if there was anything else needed. I asked Terry to send me a quote as I had already put off getting the roof repaired for too long. He sent me a quote within a few hours of him coming to inspect my roof. I had a total of 3 roof companies come look at my roof. I discussed with my husband and we agreed we like Terry's thorough inspection of the roof and he was very prompt in responding. The quote was very reasonable. I signed the quote and emailed it over letting him know I would prefer for them to fix the roof on either a Monday or Friday so as not to disturb my husband on the days he works nights and sleeps in the following day. I was getting ready to call Terry to see how soon they would be by to fix the roof. He called me friday morning a few days after I emailed the signed quote in and let me know he was sending a team of people to repair the roof. It took a few hours for the whole team to complete and everyone was very nice. I had the check ready to go. I got a call from his billing department the following day to get all my info so they could send the bill. I got the bill in a few days and mailed in my check. Since having the repairs done, I had a contractor come out to look at the damage inside my house. He confirmed that since the roof was fixed the insulation had dried up and it will be fairly easy to get that small section of the house repaired and the damage was not as extensive as I feared. I am very pleased with the whole experience. If I ever need to have my roof replaced or need any other repairs, I will be sure to call La Fever Roofing.

Terry came out the same day I called to provide an estimate. He was easy to talk to about the problem and answered all my questions. When I expressed concern about other gutters, he took a look and said it wasn't as bad and thus not urgent, but he offered to provide an estimate of optional work, so I could decide, which I appreciated. It was not a hard sell. The estimate was provided via email in PDF format the next day, which I liked as it was written out very clearly and professionally, so no confusion. I accepted, and they came out the next day. The crew seemed to do a good job and were professional and friendly, and they cleaned up before they left. In reality, I won't know for certain if the work fixed the problem until we get heavy rain for days (as that is the only time the leak showed up), or in the winter when the snow piles up into an ice dam and won't melt for weeks, but I have no cause for complaint at this point; they did what was promised and the new flashing is certainly better and seems installed correctly. Regarding the cost (only rating I gave them below an A): To be fair, the quoted price seemed reasonable, but once I saw how it was done, how much time it took (crew of two in 3.5 hours), and what materials were used (just flashing and nails; no new shingles), it seemed a little high when I think of it as $225 an hour, so I gave them a B. However, overall I would go with them again.

I am very impressed with Terry at LaFever Roofing. I knew after this last strong windstorm that the roofing companies would be busy. Not only was Terry able to check out the damage on my roof on the same day that I called, but he gave me a reasonable quote and he was able to schedule my repair for the following day. Considering I had contacted two other companies for quotes and was told "they were too busy and to call someone else", I felt fortunate to find such a responsive company like LaFever Roofing. I would definitely use them again for other repairs or new roofing.

I called LaFever Roofing and spoke with Terry Hagen. I described the problems in general terms and asked for a bid. Within 2-3 days I received an e-mail from Terry with an attached bid and photographs of the roof areas to be repaired. The bid was on the high end compared to others I obtained but was not unreasonable. Given this, LaFever's excellent reviews on Angie's List, and having learned the hard way that when it comes to contractors one should choose carefully,I accepted the bid. We had a few rainstorms between when I accepted and when they were able to get the work done. Terry kept me updated by e-mail during this period. When the weather cleared they got the work done very quickly and efficiently. I went up and inspected it, and while I know next to nothing about roofing, I can tell when work is done carefully and professionally. I was very satisfied with the obvious quality of the workmanship. It has since rained pretty hard, and there was no leakage at all where there had been before. In sum, LaFever did excellent work at a reasonable although somewhat high price; they did what they said they would, when they said they would. They kept me informed and were unfailingly professional. I am very satisfied with their work.

Everything went as planned and in five days I had a sparkling new roof. All details were taken care of and job was compleated in a professional and courteous manner. I am very happy with my new roof from LeFever Roofing.

The guys were great. They had a good product for the price. Their representatives were well-versed in their business and did their best to accommodate any issues or questions we had. They were punctual, did their job in a timely manner, and cleaned up their mess. I was very pleased.

WOW! I am so impressed! I called LaFever Roofing about a new roof. It was a Saturday and they were closed so I left a message letting them know I needed a new roof and wanted them to do it if they could. Monday morning, Terry called and said he was going to be in the area and could stop by. He was there wiin 10 minutes. He climbed up on our roof and measured everything then came down and talked to me and my husband. We were concerned about putting on a new roof this late in the year because of weather issues. Terry reassured us that there was not any problem with weather. So we picked our shingle color and Terry told us he would email me an estimate that afternoon and then contact me when he was ready to do the roof. About 2 weeks later Terry called and said they would be delivering the shingles the next day and they did, bright and early that next morning. A few days later Terry called and said they were ready to lay on the new roof. I couldn't believe they were going to do it as there were major rain showers predicted, but he said not to worry. After all, he said if they couldn't put roofs on in rain then places like Portland and Seattle would never get roofs done. That gave me a tickle as I had never thought about it that way before. The next morning Gabriel and Oscar showed up, in the pouring rain and procedded to go to work on the roof. Those poor guys had rain drizzling down their necks almost the whole time they were here but they still managed to get the whole roof on in about a day and a half. And what a beautiful job it is! Come to find out, the contractor who put on our original roof cut corners by not putting in enough vents and the vents they did install were all cheap plastic ones. In fact we had one break a few years back that caused all kinds of problems. LeFever remedied this error and other issues that came to light. Not only did they replace all the plastic vents with metal ones but they also installed 3 more new vents to bring everything up to spec. I was so pleased that they took the initiative to do this and didn't just stay with what was there. After all, I had no idea how things "were suppose to be". But Terry knew how things were suppose to be done and went ahead and corrected the sub-par original job, no detail was overlooked. I am very, very pleased with that! And what hard working installers! Nothing slowed them down, not even the cold rainy weather. Gabriel and Oscar were very professional and yet friendly, they answered all my stupid questions without laughing or rolling their eyes even once! I have personally been privy to 3 other roofing jobs (by 3 other contractors) in the last 6 months that I now know were not done to the standards that LaFever follows. The prices were all about the same too so I can't blame it on "you get what you pay for". I presumed those jobs were the norm, until I witnessed this job by LaFever. So if you are going to spend the same amount of money, definately go with Lafever. The quality, professionalism and expertise of LaFever have made those other jobs look second-rate. I originally found LaFever on Angies List when my mom needed a new roof and various other things done to a house she just purchased. LaFever was one of 3 contractors we called for estimates. My mom decided to go with another contractor for other reasons personal to her that had nothing to do with LaFever. But I was really impressed with Terry and LaFever so I kept his card because I knew when I was able to do my roof; I wanted only them to do it. So when I got the money this fall, I called LaFever, I didn't even consider anyone else and boy I am so glad! The difference in the quality of work and follow-up is astounding. They even removed the tape strips from the back of the shingles! NONE of the other roofers did that, even the original roofing job on my house didn't remove the tape backing and it has caused us problems in years past. LaFever also filed all the shingle warranty papers and sent me copies along with their own personal installation warranty, very nice! The other 3 jobs didn't do that either. LaFever handled EVERYTHING from start to finish with no hiccups or problems, VERY smooth, neat and tidy and professional. I can't stress enough what a wonderful, stress-free experience this whole thing was. My heartfelt thanks to Terry and the whole LaFever gang!

We ended up going with another company but this was because we also needed to have some major bathroom remodel work done and one of the companies that came out to give us a bid informed us that they also did remodel work and therefore gave us a nice "package" deal for ALL the work, roof and bathroom remodel, that beat separate bids from the other companies. I would not hesitate to recommend LaFever Roofing to anyone looking to have roof work done.

their bid was reasonable compared to other bid I had. They showed up when they said they would. removed old roofing. Replaced underlay. replaced all shingles and installed electric ceiling fan. They cleaned up everyday after they were done for the day. Very good craftsmanship. Foreman came out everyday to see that things were going ok, and to see if I had any concerns. I would not hesitate to use them again. .

Called for an estimate. Chad showed up same day. Gave bid after looking at roof. On the same day that bid was approved, Chad came out again and fixed the roof. Great communication. Great Service. Cheapest bid.

Excellent job! Chad was professional, explained everything and set up a date to do the repairs. He made an additional trip to install metal sheets to divert the rain from our newly repaired soffit and fascia until the work could be done. They came out on the scheduled date for the repairs and went right to work. The roof looks great and the repairs were successful!

He did our roof a year ago. Their bid was the lowest and they did a good job. They got it done in a timely manner. They were efficient. The quality of their work was very good. We would use them again in the future.

The entire experience was wonderful, and truthfully that wasn't what I was expecting. The owner was constantly informing me of the process and timing. The crew was on time, diligent, pleasant, and worked until the job was finished. They also cleaned up the entire perimeter of the house after the tear out of the old roof and again after the project was complete. The building inspector came to review the job and said positive things, as well. In addition, my neighbors who have also had new roofs indicated they though my process seemed more efficient than the one they had undertaken. Excellent!

Excellent. We have never had such speedy service on any construction, remodel job at our home. Everyone was on time, and the job was completed on time. This is a great company.

First of all, Terry Hagen is a great salesman. He was professional, friendly and very knowledgeable about their products. He explained different ways to do things and gave us the pros and cons of each. This made it easy when I compared his bid to other bids I had received. The quality of the roofing material was the best. They completed the job in a timely manner, the workers were very polite, and Terry checked on the job every day. When it came to the clean-up, it was superior. For the whole roof and shed, we only found 2 staples hiding in the yard. You couldn't even tell they had been here, except that I now had a beautiful roof. It, totally changed the look of my house. I am so pleased we decided to go with LaFever. If you do the same, you will not be disappointed. I recommend this company 100%.

Needed a broken skylight replaced - they were quick to respond for a bid, very fair price, fast, clean & competent repair - would definitely recommend and use again.

When I asked him what the charge was, he said there was no charge. I was very pleased with the service and professionalism that Terry exhibited. It's easy to understand why La Fever Roofing is highly rated by its customers. If we need repairs, we will be calling on Terry in the future.

I was impressed with the speed of their service. Their salesman dropped by and reviewed my needs. They produced a bid quickly which was easy to understand. They quickly fit my home into their schedule and my roof was repaired. I was impressed with their speed of service. They arrived, did their work, cleaned up and left. No trash was left behind and they were careful not to injure any plants. I would recommend their service. I will be using them when it comes time to replace my entire roof. They actually talked me out of replacing it at this time. NOTE: I rated their quality as "good" because the products used in my project were industry standard. I would say they were "average" and not "exceeding expectations". They did nothing wrong!
