Executed as planned. The initial quotation for over repair and replacement of rotted wood was 1/3 rd of the final cost. I believe that a closer inspection in the beginning would have been appropriate to give me a more accurate estimate. The original estimate was $5700 with the additional repair cost estimate of $800. Turned out that the additional repair cost was about $3,000. Really poor estimating, but good business for them. I feel as though the sales pitch was a bait and switch. Yes, he did tell us that there is no way he can give us an exact change estimate, but I expect better than this. Thus, I believe that the price was much higher that I had agreed to, and the professionalism, due to lack of estimating technique, was fair at best.

I had bought a house in Palos Verdes with an unusual low-pitched clay tile roof with built-in gutters, but it was poorly maintained by the previous owner. There was evidence of water damage inside the house associated with a leaking chimney. Parts of the wooden eaves and fascia board around the house also had dryrot. The cap sheet had deteriorated and in some parts there were open seams associated with the dry rot and separation from the old edge metal. I chose Steve Solberg for a number of reasons, not just the good reviews on Angieslist. He was punctual and returned phone calls and e-mails. I had a lot of detailed questions that were answered to my satisfaction. He recommended a repair of the entire roof perimeter as it was the proper way to do it, and stands by his work with a 7 year labor guarantee. Steve's price was reasonable compared to other companies, including one that offered to do a patch repair only The job went smoothly, estimated 3 days, but they came back for another half day to finish up. I felt the quality of work was solid. The cricket was well designed, and should divert the water sufficiently away from the chimney. I also liked how where possible, the color was painted to match the clay tile and house exterior. The replaced wood was left in its natural state and not primed or painted. The crew cleaned up and removed all the debris. Steve and crew did a great job on my roof. The only observation I have is that when looking at my roof from the street level, I can see the black edge of the cap sheet where it overlays the edge metal. It probably needs to be trimmed back a bit more to give it a cleaner look. But this is just aesthetics and not a big deal and something I can fix on my own, I think.

Steve Solberg was the contractor, he arrived on schedule for the estimate and the job.He reveiwed what i wanted done making some good recomendations.The job proceeded on schedule,and finished when predicted with very good results.

Overall the experience was great. Too bad we have not had any rain since the roof repair to know if the leak still exists but he guarantees the work for > 1 year. So I at ease that things will go well.

In short all I can say is that from start to finish everything went very smoothly and the job was completed to our entire satisfaction.

We have had major ongoing leak problems with our roof for several years. Several roofers have tried to repair the leaks or give us estimates to do the work. None of the repairs ever fixed the problem because no one ever identified the problem, or their estimates were so outrageous we never hired them.After joining Angie's List, I found a highly recommended roofer that sounded like he just might be my "Roof Whisperer"!I called Steve at Accurate Roofing Solutions and to my amazement he actually answered the phone! After listening to my tales of woe, we made an appointment for the next day and he arrived exactly when he said he would. He spent quite a while studying the roof, brought me up to the roof to show me each of the problems that were leading to my leak issues. He walked me through each of the issues and explained how they would need to be repaired. He gave me an estimate that was fair (though not cheap!), told me the work would take 3 days, and they could start in 2 days. He told me he would arrive at 8 am the morning the work was to start with the contract and sure enough he and his workers were there on time. They put in long days, as my job was a complicated one, and towards the end of the third day the told me it would take another day, which was not a problem. Every day they showed up on time. On the last day, everything was totally cleaned and washed down and my house looked like no one had been there tearing my roof apart and putting it back together. Steve walked me through to show me the "after" for each repair. He explained I had a 7 year warranty and if there were any leaks, to give him a call and he would immediately take care of them. I must say, I have a lot of contractors doing all sorts of work on my house over the years, but dealing with Steve and his crew was the most pleasant contractor experience I have ever had. I can't recommend this guy highly enough.

Overall it went great, and Steve Solberg was a pleasure to work with. I woke up Tuesday morning to the sound of dripping water from a four foot crack in my living room ceiling. One can't ignore such a thing. After some initial consultation with my neighbor, I went directly to Angie's List. The first company I called did not answer the phone, and the second company said someone would get back to me later in the day. But the third company, Accurate Roofing Solutions, responded immediately. Steve was at my house within 30 minutes and patiently explained what was needed, presenting the most cost effective method. They were able to start the job two days later and completed the job within the stated timeframe. The crew was timely and cleaned up after themselves. Upon completion, Steve walked the roof with me explaining in detail what was done. I would definitely recommend Accurate Roofing Solutions to my friends and neighbors.

The service was excellent. They came out and explained to us what needed to be done, the cost, and how long it would take. He was very accurate on all of his estimates which was helpful. I would definitely recommend them.

I thought Accurate Roofing was great from the get-go. They weren't the lowest out of the three bids I received, but I liked the owner, Steve Solberg's professionalism and follow-through out of all the companies. My 4300 sq. ft. house and attached garage needed a whole new roof. Because real surprises can occur when a roof comes off, exposing damaged wood, the bad news is we had a lot of wood damage which required more money than I expected, but it was made clear from the beginning that they can't estimate on the unforeseen until it's seen. Our tile roof had several broken tiles leaving the wood susustable In the next few weeks we'll be installing a new solar system on our roof and it required clear communication between Accurate Roofing and our solar company since there were specific things the solar installers needed to do mid-stream on the roofing project. There were a few delays caused by the solar company, but Accurate Roofing handled it well keeping it very much on track as I was promised. The clean up was very through and went beyond my expectations.

If Angie's list had an A++ rating, Steve / Accurate Roofing would have received that grade. I don't know how many of you have delt with roofing contractors in the past, but in general they can be challenging group in regards to professionalism and returning phone calls. Steve answered my initial call immediately, called back for more info when he said he would, made an appointment to come out 2 days later, showed up on time for the estimate and scheduled the work for two days later, making the extra effort to to schedule me in prior to the big storm that just blew through this weekend. I've had a reaccuring problem with a 10'x8'section of flat roof that was improperly installed by the previous owner. Problem was exasperated by a 2nd roofing contractor trying to build a slopped crick over the 1st roof. That too, was done in a kludged fashion and there was water building up between the 1st bad roof and the 2nd poor attempt to fix it. The whole section of roof felt and reacted like the top of waterbed. How it wasn't leaking into our master closet I'll never know, but I knew I needed to get it fixed and fast. Looked over reviews on Angies list and called Steve, who answered the phone immediately. As I mentioned earlier, every bit of my contact with Steve / Accurate Roofing was easy and stress free. He came out 2 days later and looked at the problem, presented a solution, made an accurate bid and we scheduled the work. Steve and his crew showed up 2 days later (as scheduled), showed up on time and knocked out the whole job in the originally forecasted time and on budget. The quality and design of the work is top notch and my previously ongoing problem has been solved. I will recommend Steve to all friends and neighbors who need roof repairs in the future and highly recommend him to anyone on Angie's list looking for a roofing contractor. They absolutely nailed it.

I would give Steve and Accurate Roofing an A+ if possible. Steve did a fantastic job and is all around nice guy. He is extremely professional, reliable and excellent at communication which is very important to me. I had 4 estimates for the sun deck and 3 estimates for the roof. Steve's estimate came in lower than the other companies, but my main concern was quality/durability and someone I could work well with, and he worked with me to provide me with options of obtaining the highest quality roof for the money. He came out to meet with me twice. He was very thorough in explaining exactly what the estimate covered and a step by step process of how the roof and deck would be done and materials used, always encouraging questions. He was also cognitive about timing and not inconviencing our tenants. He started and finished the job when he said he was going to. He showed up on time for all appointments and called me to keep me updated on the daily progress of the job since I wasn't able to be at there daily. He completed the job in 4 days. The workmanship and attention to detail was appreciated. The workers were nice, and they did a good job on clean up. Overall, I couldn't be happier and would highly recommend him.

The job cost me $7000. I think he really wanted the job. He told me that he would like to talk to me after I got all the bids. He and his team did the job and they cleaned-up after themselves. I had a clogged drain because of the rain. There was some water seeping through my ceiling. He sent out a guy and he cleared the drains for me. He also sealed the area where the water was seeping from. He did the work without any additional cost. He was really accommodating. The quality of his work was fine. I?ll definitely use him again in the future.

Overall it went fantastic. I had 4 estimates and Steve was the least expensive. The first two estimates included putting up plywood on and those estimates were very high. Steve looked around, opened my garage and looked at the roof and said that I would not need plywood. He was very professional, and was always available to answer any questions. He estimated 3 1/2 days for the work to be completed and it was done on time. They did a great job on the roof and an immaculate job cleaning up, including hauling away the rubble I had from a previous window replacement job. When the job was finished, Steve and I walked around on the roof and he showed me everything that was done including the installation of a vent for an oven hood for an anticipated kitchen remodel in the future. The whole job could not have gone more smoothly. I highly recommend Accurate Roofing.

Excellent workmanship! The two man team worked as long as there was daylight with minimal to no breaks. They did quality work. No reservations about using them again or recommending them.

This company was priced in a mid range when I called around for quotes. I believe that you get what you pay for. They did a great job and made sure to come right back when their was a small problem in the roof that had to be fixed. I have had no further problems and I would recommend them to anyone.

The workmen got to our house at the time they had promised and were very easy to have around. They pretty much kept to themselves and did what they came to do and did it very well. Their price was comparable. In fact, a bit lower than other bids we had received on the job. I don't recall the exact price as it has been over a year now.

Our new roof was completed in a week and a half. We were without a roof for only one day, and they made sure they scheduled the tear off for when it would be nice. The roof looks nice and is made of very high quality materials. It also does not leak.

Yes, I am very happy and I have no complaints what so ever. Everything turned out fine and I am grateful for that. They got done really quick if you ask me. Of course, the roof was not very big, but, they still did a good job. My daughter dealt with a lot of this particular job and she was also pleased with it. The two men were outstanding and they deserve a good recommendation.

OVERALL EXPERIENCE WAS GOOD. THEY WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL AND COMPLETED THE JOB IN A TIMELY MANNER. AFTERWARD WE HAD TO CALL THEM ONCE FOR A CHECK AND THEY RESPONDED PROMPTLY AND WITHOUT HESITATION.
