Description of Work: I have hired numerous tree service people over the years, in the northend of Boise (VERY old trees) and several other states and towns. NEVER have I had such a professional and likable service man. I checked with 2 other companies that I had used previously and decided on Bob Parziale after meeting him and finding him so very personable and honest that I just knew he was the one I wanted. I was definitely led in the right direction. I had a big (app. 25ft Austrian Pine) that was tipped over and had a portion of the root ball exposed. I knew it was doomed.....the south side of the tree was turning brown and it had been leaning since I bought here 2 1/2 yrs ago. Bob wasn't sure that he could get the entire root ball out on his own, but agreed to take the tree down as it was threatening a fence and another tree. He showed up this morning as expected and got immediately to work. His planning was superb.......very bright guy for sure and had the tree down in no time at all. He kept cleaning up as he went ......not leaving a big mess until the last. I'm not sure how he did it, but he managed to get the stump and STILL CAGED root ball and stump out of the ground strictly by perserverance.....and his patience wasn't to be believed ! And all the while, very pleasant and SO nice ! I will never use anyone else, and you won't either if you hire him. He was gone and the entire area was immaculate in 4 hours. Frankly, he did not charge enough......my 2 other bids were much higher.

Description of Work: We asked Bob to remove a large lilac bush and several volunteer sumac trees. He promptly responded to our email and came by the next day to quote the job. He is very reasonably priced, professional, went above and beyond our expectations. He made sure the job was done to perfection before he left and even cleaned up dead leaves along the way. We highly recommend Bob and will most definitely use him again, should the need arise.

Description of Work: WOW! What a huge improvement! We asked Bob to trim the red and yellow twig dogwood bushes, remove tangled limbs and leaves, trim the tam juniper evergreens (not sheer), remove limbs from birch trees, trim and shape the thundercloud plums and snowcrab, prune the rosebushes, and lift/trim the lower branches of the bristlecone pine.

Description of Work: seasonal trim of all shrubs, hedges, and most of the trees on my North End property. Parts of the job were pretty straightforward, but one hedge in particular, well, let's say i was dreading even the act of describing what i wanted. this is a very tall, very dense hedge on the property line that had been seriously damaged from significant snow accumulation two winters ago. another landscape company had tried to help it along, but i was very unhappy with how it looked and responded since. add to this a sudden out-of-town health crisis in the family, so nothing had had its midseason trim, and now it was even blocking the lawn sprinklers! it was a mess. bob gave careful consideration to the problem of the hedge, understood what i was asking, and provided a couple options. he urged me to reconsider pulling out a tree that i thought was adding nothing to the look of the property because it is not common to see this tree in my area. he taught me my dwarf spruces really aren't designed to be shaped like christmas trees, but rather more of a globe shape. and i think he understood i wasn't the most experienced gardener because he didn't rush through our appt. i received an estimate from another respected tree/landscape company too, and i liked them too, but there was no question in my mind who i wanted to work with! i called to schedule the work, and it was completed within two days.

Description of Work: Bob came out and gave us a bid to trim quite a few misc. trees and shrubs. He came out the first time without cost to bid and asked great questions about what we were wanting and expecting. Appreciated the detail and how he really listened to what we wanted.

Description of Work: They came to my property two different times to address my concerns. Looked at the issue, advised me who to get in one case and evalauted a job done on a retaining wall issue and did not charge me for either visit.

Description of Work: Bob evaluated a small blue spruce tree that had tipped over in our yard. He determined the cause of the problem, and evaluated the time and money that would be needed to try and save the tree. In the end, we decided it was most cost effective to replace the tree. He cut up the old tree and hauled it away. We are currently evaluating the space to decide if we want to replace it.

Description of Work: Bob arrived to look over the stump--I had previously sent photos via email. I expected him just to give an estimate, but he immediately got to work and pulled it out, got it into the truck, and cleaned up. He was very prompt in responding to my original email, and called me on the expected day to tell me he would be a little bit late, The stump was big and heavy. I can't imagine better service, and I intend to call him again.

Description of Work: I have a huge Ponderosa that he had to clime into to cut. He also cut down a number of Junipers and hauled a couple of loads of junipers.

Description of Work: What I needed was not Bob's expertise but he took the time to hear me out and give me some very good direction so I could find the right person. Saved me a lot of time; appreciate his honesty and good recommendations.

Description of Work: Lift and clean understory of mature Colorado Blue Spruce; remove and haul leaf litter; clean Austrian Pine tree grove of dead branches, crossovers and co-dominant leaders, etc.; remove diseased tree in pine grove; clean leaf litter in understory of pine grove; clean old cuts/stubs of pine grove; light pruning on flowering pear tree; prune and clean old cuts on flowering dogwood and red twig dogwoods; clean and haul away all debris.

Description of Work: Removed large ponderosa pine located very close to the house. Required great care to not damage roof or deck. Access to the tree was very limited as it was inaccessible to large equipment, especially during the winter. Further, the tree had been dead for approximately 3 years resulting in weak wood and flaking bark. Also trimmed large branches from other trees that were growing over the roof.

Description of Work: n addition to trimming some high overhanging branches in particular, I asked him basically to just go around the yard and take care of any tree/shrub issues as if it were his own yard.

Description of Work: Bob came to my house in mid-December. He trimmed all of our trees (12) and shrubs (10) and cleaned up all the debris in the planting beds. He brought a helper and they worked the entire day. At the end of the day he hauled all the trash away. I did not realize just how bad our landscaping looked until after Bob finished his work! He did a great job and I was very happy with his price, his service and his work. Our yard looks so much better now and I think our neighbors are happier. I will hire him again in the spring.

Description of Work: Bob advised us on caring for several plants, shrubs and trees around the house, also on how he would trim a 20-year-old pear tree with two trunks, one extending over our roof. He then sawed off the trunk extending over our roof, trimmed the tree as we discussed, cleaned up the area and hauled off the trimmings.
