They came out and looked at my roof, returned in about a week to ten days and made the repair. It took them about two to three hours of actual work. He responded to my call, did what he said he was going to do when he said that he was going to do it. He charged me less than the quoted price.

The work went smoothly and quickly until they needed to get additional tile out of California, which took approximately 10 days, they cleaned up after each day.

Franz (estimator) was a pleasure to deal with. Crew was polite, efficient and cleaned up after themselves daily.

All their workers were professional and courteous. We are completely satisfied with our new roof.

Exterior paint contractor noticed missing flashing on roof near gutter and advised me to call a roofer for repair to stop water damage to exterior of house. I emailed, called and left message with quick response on both. Got scheduled right away for a "small job". During appointment I was told that this was a "service Job" and the fee was $125 before Angie List coupon of 10% discount. Service job fee seemed a bit high but contractor was professional and fixed the flashing within 20 minutes. Honest, courteous, professional and would definitely recommend.

I live out of state and recently bought a home in the North End of Boise and contacted roofer via phone. He went to address I provided and submitted a quote within a day. very professional. I was able to make arrangements for installation of new roof, All work completed within time frame requested . Supervisor was in attendance frequently to check the job which was completed in a few days. Workers were punctual, professional and property was left very clean. Mr. Peterson checked after job completion to make sure job was done to my satisfaction before bill was submitted. Everyone involved was exceptional. Very pleased.

We knew we needed a new roof. We had several companies bid the job. There was a huge difference in the bids. We found that it was very important not to make a decision too quickly. Advice... Homeowners need to do a lot of reading beforehand, so they have some frame of reference. We learned a lot from having several companies talk to us about our roof and what we needed to have done. Madisons were professional, knowledgeable and good communicators.They did an excellent job and we are glad we decided to hire Madisons.

He gave us info about our roofing material that we didn't know, being new to home ownership - and he wrote it down for our future reference. He threw in an extra flashing because he noticed it was cracked, without increasing the end price over the estimate. Very personable. I'd definitely hire him again.

I phoned this company to find out about possible chimney repair because I've successfully used their services for roofing in the past and was very happy with the experience. I was told on the phone that they do not do masonry repairs (repairs on the bricks of the chimney) but could provide metal enclosures to prevent further degradation of the bricks and mortar. My experience with them is that they are experienced, professional and friendly. However, if you're looking for someone to actually repair the bricks of your chimney itself, then they do not, at least now, provide that service.

He proposed reroofing half of our garage at a cost in excess of $2,000. This estimate motivated my husband to make his own analysis of our problem. By studying the "symptoms" -- evidence of water damage inside the wall of the garage, the location of damage to the facia and online research about the most likely scenario -- that the leak would occur in the valley where the garage roof meets the house roof, we determined that this roofer's proposed remedy was overkill and may not even solve the problem. Another roofer we had called for an estimate focused on repairing the valley and gave us a bid that was less than a quarter of Madison Roofing's for the best-case scenario (replacing the lower half of the valley) and less than half for the worst-case scenario (replacing all of it).

Hans promptly performed an inspection service call to our home and provided us with a detailed estimate of work required and cost within 12 hours of the inspection. The work was completed as per oral and written agreement with absolutely no complications. FYI: Madison Roofing DOES NOT accept major credit cards.

Job was professionally done. Personnel were very responsive to my questions.

Read the first paragraph. Before I talked to Madison I was getting really frustrated. We called our builder first who told us we had an extra pallet load of tiles in our crawl space. We didn't. Then we called the company who had installed the tiles in the first place. They never returned any of my calls. Then i got another recommendation from our builder and these were the guys whose phone manners left a lot to be desired. Then I looked at Angie's list and called Madison and all went well. I had used them in the past, about 30 years ago. They did a great job then but it was a whole different roofing situation. But they did a great job this time as well, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. I entered a date and cost that are probably not accurate. The price was entirely reasonable and typical of what is charged in Boise.

A very satisfactory experience, work performed efficiently and of excellent quality. They even arranged the replacement of a gutter damaged by the materials supplier.

After the windstorm damage to our old roof, I contacted Madison Roofing by phone and they scheduled an inspection for the next day. Their field agent/estimator, Hans, arrived on time and was courteous, professional, and knowledgeable. After thorough measurement and inspection of all elements of the roof, Hans agreed with my assessment that the roof needed to be replaced, and showed me shingle samples and options. I also wanted additional gutters and downspouts added to several areas, and Hans said they would coordinate that work with Boise Gutters, and include it in the bid. I received the Bid by e-mail the next day, with prices for several option of shingle styles. I confirmed my choice with Hans and signed and returned the contract. I received a phone call from the office several days later, giving me an estimated start date (about 4 weeks out, due to the busy summer schedule). Hans called a few days before the set date, and asked if his crew could come out ahead of schedule and get started the next day. A crew of seven arrived early the next morning, politely introduced themselves, and get right to work. Crew chief, Ray, went out of his way to explain what they would be doing and make himself available for any questions I had. They put down tarps around the perimeter of the house to catch dropped debris (which was hauled away in an on-site dump truck). By the end of the first day, they had stripped off the old roof material, put down ice and water shield/membrane around the lowest portion of the roof deck, installed new tar paper, replaced all the vents and flashings. They cleaned up the entire site before the boom truck arrived and placed the shingle bundles on the roof for the next day installation. On day two, Ray and his crew returned and expertly installed the new shingle roof. Again, at the end of the day, the entire site was cleaned up. Ray even asked if I had any extra house paint, and when I supplied with him with a partial gallon, he touched up several areas of trim that had been dinged up a bit when new flashing material had been installed under/behind it. The next day, an installer from Boise Gutter arrived at the home, and did an equally professional job in crafting and installing new gutters in the areas I had specified to Hans. We were very pleased with the quality of work done by the entire crew, and would not hesitate to reccomend Madison for any roofing job you need done.

Recently I discovered what I thought was black mold on part of the roof line. I called Madison Roofing and the owner responded immediately. He was very professional and very pleasant. He came for a free estimate that same week. He informed us that it was not mold and we had three options: If we were planning on selling the home in the next couple years we could just clean it up ourselves, if we were planning on selling in the next ten years we could have him come out and fix the problem for a very reasonable fee (much less than we had estimated) or if this was our forever home we could do a total re-roof. We decided on the first as we're planning on re-selling the home this year but we were immensely grateful for all the options and the level of professionalism that he and his employees showed. If we need any further roofing work done down the road we will definitely use Madison Roofing.

A wind storm blew two sections of shingles from my roof. Madison Roofing sent someone to give me an estimate the same day I called. By that afternoon they had emailed me an estimate. It was about $100. less than what my insurance adjuster thought it would be. By the following afternoon, the repairs were complete. I was impressed by the kindness of everyone I dealt with, the promptness of the service, and the excellent price. I would not hesitate to use Madison Roofing again.
