Good installation, good advice

Cindy came out to measure the house. I showed her each area and made sure she measured them all and understood what was to be put in each. We made sure she was aware that the house needed to be done in at least two stages since we could not move the entire house out to the garage. She said there was not a problem and that they would be out in a week and it would take them two days to finish. I was really surprised that they could to it that fast.. until I found out they couldn't. The installers showed up and let me know that they only had enough carpet to do two rooms and the rest would be in stock in three days. They finished the two rooms in a day and told me they would be back in the morning to start the hardwood. Once they arrived the installer told me they did not have enough hardwood and that they would need to order some more. He finished most of the kitchen and it looked really good. We waited two days with the house torn to shreds until the carpet was in. The installers showed up and started to put in the new carpet. Turns out they did not have the right pad since the sells person never told them the lower level was concrete slab. The installer called her and she said she would stop by. The installer finished the kitchen while his guys did the upstairs bedrooms / hall. Of course all the furniture was moved into the master bedroom, so they helped me move it since the and quot;two stageand quot; system the sells person scheduled did not work out. The installer came back to me and said that a TON of hardwood was not ordered and that that he could only finish one of the four areas that were left. About that time the sells person showed up. She talked to the installer that explained that the wrong pad was ordered and that they did not have enough hardwood. The sells person said that the hardwood was not part of the bid and that it would be an extra 1k to finish. I pulled out the bid and showed her where it was on the bid. She started crying and said and quot;I guess I will just have to pay for it myselfand quot; and stormed out of the house bawling. She called me later and said she was having a bad day and it will be taken care of. The hardwood arrived a WEEK later and was installed over the next two days along with the remaining carpet. So the and quot;two day installand quot; was over two working weeks. Two weeks of our house in total disarray. At least we did not get stuck shelling out another $1,000

I liked them. Their service was really good, and the quality of their product was good too. Their showroom was nice. I would use them again in the future if necessary.

The carpet is very high quality as well as the installers. The pricing was very fair. He did a very good job on the stairs, you can’t see the seams.

Misunderstood ordering then the mfg held up order, but when it came the installer did the work immediately.

The installers were great. They came in and did their job as scheduled. They were very professional and respectful. The sales end was disappointing due to lack of follow through and poor communication.

Dave and Kay came out, measured every thing, brought samples of the flooring we were interested in, and provided an estimate. The job went great. Bob the installer was really good and got everything perfect including installation of the new floor material, taking off and replacing wall boards, repairing some damaged area around the comode, and moving and putting back the stove and refrigerator. Everything was done carefully and on time even though we had a problem with the sub flooring in the bathroom. Bob figured out the least costly solution and everything worked out great. However, this problem did increase the cost over the estimate, but it turned out to be a very reasonable solution and we were glad to have the problem (sub Floor) repaired. Overall, given the age of our home, and the job that was done so well, it couldn't have gone any better and we were delighted with the result.

The salespeople were friendly, helpful and very patient when I was trying to decide on new carpet for my home. I have never shopped for carpet before, so it was a little overwhelming. I finally chose Karastand's Smartstrand which is why the price is a little higher. The crew that came to my home was prompt, efficient and very courteous. The following day the salespeople came to my home for a walk through and to make sure I was happy with my choice. Which I am!

Overall, I was very pleased with the results. The price of the project was right at the quote and on schedule. They educated me up front on what the impact of the refinishing would be (including the need to be outside the house for a few days). My only concerns were that the communications were not always clear as to what would be happening when (there were several contractors during the project, so I wasn't always sure whether I was getting my information from them or from my Dillabaugh's account rep directly). They also had to make a change on the size of the planks for my flooring and didn't tell me about this change until the flooring had been delivered. Other than that, I was pleased with the overall service and end result.

The staff at Dillabaugh's were very professional and helpful. We found the same carpet at a major home improvement store for less, but wanted to use a local company. Dillabaugh's was able to match the price and set a quicker install date. The only issue we ran into was our carpet was on back-order, so it took a week longer than we expected. This was not, however, Dillabaugh's fault. When the carpet arrived, the installer was very courteous and professional. In a few short hours, we had our old carpet gone and beautiful carpet installed. All-in-all a great experience.

Had a carpet remnant large enough to use in master bedroom that saved us a lot of $. Good selection in stock, professional help and estimate by Les and also by the flooring installers!
