The 24th was the last day on the job site, he worked a half day that day. I went out of town for the weekend, he was supposed to work Sunday and Monday. On Tuesday morning I got a text saying that he decided to go out of town with his friends and would be back in the morning. It was evident when I got home that he hadn't come on Sunday or Monday. I haven't heard anything from him since. I have called him (his mail box is now full), and I have text him. I had another painting company come out to look at this job, they have flagged several things that aren't in compliance with how you are supposed to handle led paint and things wrong with the way he was prepping the house. All of his equipment is stored at the rear door of my basement still, he left ladders on my yard and left the storm windows up against my house also.

Very quick to respond to my Angie's List contact. He followed up and we hired him. No one else on Angie's List was advertising to do this kind of work. We were very glad to find him The only tiny thing was that he arrived with no business card or contract. But we felt confident enough to let him take our furniture away!! Glad we did.

The outcome is absolutely beautiful and done to perfection. There were no mishaps of any kind and the cleanup was immaculate. Jim and Lolo traveled a lengthy distance to do this work so all their efforts are truly appreciated. I don't believe this work could have been accomplished any better so my thanks to both of them and I would, without question, hire them again for any future painting.

The painting was very good and of high quality. The painted shelving/cabinets looks very good. They are also a very efficient team. I hired Jim because he also refinishes furniture - so I could trust he would pay attention to detail. Jim has a torn shoulder so his helper did most of the painting. Make sure you get a detailed bid with the number of days and the hourly rate assumed and whether paint is included. I did get three bids - this company was in the middle.

Jim and Jay did an excellent job. Punctual. Cleaned up every day. Price was great.

Everything looks beautiful. We have received many compliments from the neighbors on the quality of the job. The only difficulty was getting the date on the calendar but I can understand how weather is a factor. I appreciated that they came back to hang new light fixtures several weeks after the original job was complete and they had been paid.

Jim and I kept in contact over the months to get an idea of when our house would fit into his schedule. We were scheduled for mid-July but when one of his clients ahead of us needed a delay, he called and asked if we could move up in the queue which we happily did as the weather was perfect for house painting. The two are very nice guys and very responsible with their work. The outcome was beautiful as they do very good work. We are very pleased with how the house looks. There are no "oops" in the paint job and they left the house surroundings neat and tidy each day. There are no oversights and their work was well done.

Jim's quote was very reasonable. Jim and Jay came on two days' notice and painted five rooms in six hours. They did a great job and were cheerful and pleasant. Would definitely recommend!

This was simply a great experience start to finish. We specifically joined Angies list to find a highly referenced painter. We talked with three "A" rated painters and went with Jim (and his partner Jay). We are so happy with the choice. They simply are 1st rate experts. Rarely do you see contractors work so hard, pay such close attention to details, and have great pride in their work as did Jim and Jay. They went out of their way to do things we hadn't even discussed to make the fixed price job even better. We certainly will use them when we paint our interior and give them an unconditional AAA+ two thumbs up reference. Jim and Jay are great! They did a wonderful job. They pressure washed the house, driveway, and sidewalks even around the corner and they pressure washed the patio and put a high gloss sealant on it. They caulked the entire house, removed the shutters and painted the exterior of the house. They did a fabulous job it looks so nice, they are both very meticulous and pay attention to details. They also painter 3 rooms in my house. They had to strip all the wall paper off all 3 rooms and they repair the walls and then paint. It looks great, I love it! I will defiantly hire them again when I paint the rest of my interior of the house. Thanks you guys, great Job!!

Outstanding! Jim and his partner did a great job using the best quality paint. The prep work was excellent and they were meticulous during every step and finished the work quickly.

Jim worked with my schedule to come in after my new roof and gutters were completed. They prepped and caulked everything! In the end, the results are beautiful! It's refreshing to work with someone who takes pride in what he does. I would highly recommend him!

Jim was excellent to work with. He was always on time (or even early) and worked hard and quickly the entire time. Sometime he worked by himself and sometimes he had a partner. He painted the entire interior of our home approx 2500 sqft. and did a fantastic job! We have a home built in the early 90's and it has very high vaulted ceilings. We just purchased the home and it looked like it hadn't had a fresh coat of paint in years. We had moved in a few weeks before and tried to keep as much of our stuff packed in boxes but we still had all our large furniture in the home. Jim did all the prep work and moved all the furniture out of the way and then back to where it was without skipping a beat. He ended up doing a lot of extra work as some areas of the vaulted ceiling in the kitchen took an extra coat, and painting over the wallpaper in each of the three bathrooms ended up being a lot more work than he anticipated, but he didn't charge extra. Our home looks great and we couldn't be happier with his work. His price was lower than some other quotes we received but he had great reviews so we decided to go with him and we're so glad we did.When we have the exterior of our home painted we are definitely going to call Jim.

As a bonus, James and his helper are also very nice people. I found him honest and forthcoming with every aspect of the work. He shows up on time and cleans up after his work thoroughly.

Jim did an amazing job on our house. When it was painted ten years ago, it was never caulked. Jim caulked everything, every hole, every seam. We have a house, barn, shop and other outbuildings. They all turned out beautiful. He helped us with paint selection and made several suggestions about trimming that we adopted and are very happy with. We would hire him again in a heart beat. The price includes paint and was VERY reasonable. We hired him separately to paint the dining room and all of the inside doors. He did all the doors in one day, let them dry and then put them back the next day. Jim was very professional and friendly.

James and his associate Jay arrived when scheduled and completed all tasks on time. Professional and courteous seemed willing to "go the extra mile" in order to insure a quality job. Their workmenship and attention to detail was appreciated.

Let me be clear from the beginning: IF I COULD GIVE JIM AN AAA RATING OR AN A+++ RATING, I WOULD!!!I We have lived in our home for 21 years, and have had the exterior repainted 7 times!!! We always hired, what we believed to be, reputable companies, and always asked for referrals. However, we continued to get quick and shoddy work for a premium price. The last company to paint the house (approximately 5 years ago), prepped and painted the entire exterior in ONE DAY!!! The paint was so thin you could actually see the previous color underneath!!! By the time we found Jim, we were extremely frustrated and a bit jaded by the process. Jim and his crew spent almost TWO FULL weeks in the preparation alone! He used superior products, removed all the old caulk and replaced it with new, reset every nail and filled every nail hole with caulk, caulked under the boards and every crack/seam possible, and sanded (and resanded) problem areas. When he found areas of concern that we hadn't already discussed, he was quick to bring them to our attention. When he ran into problems that were outside his expertise, he provided us with referrals to a contractor who quickly and cost effectively corrected the problem without adding any delay to the project. The productsand techniques he used were exceptional and the end result is spectacular! Our neighbors watched the process and every single one has commented on the exceptional prep work and final result. In short, we couldn't be more pleased. The highest compliment I can give Jim is to say that we would (and will) use him again for future projects. Additionally, we will not hesitate to refer him to our friends and family!!!

Jim puts a lot of hard work and effort into his jo. He takes a lot of pride in his work,is a stickler for the details and prep work, and was very responsive to my thoughts and suggestions. We went with hime because of his reputation for quality. He worked with us in every way possible to help us get the job done. May not be the fastest, or the cheapest, but you get what you pay for! Everything was done perfectly and he stayed in touch during the process. I would use him again and recommend him to anyone needign to improve a messed up, neglected deck and make it beautiful again.

I feel price was reasonable. Quality of work was good. He fit us into his schedule within a couple days of the bid. He was very professional and courteous. (While he was on a ladder, he even offered to clean a hard to reach chandelier and a hard to reach upper story window) He followed up a couple of weeks later to make sure we were satisfied with the job. We will be using him for future painting needs.
