I had an obstruction that forced water from the master bath sink into the lower bath sink below where the water stood and did not drain. I made an appointment for 3:30 on the day that I called. They were running late and called me but I missed the call. At 4:15 when they didn't show up I called and they said that they were running 2-3 hours behind. I ran some errands. I noticed that someone had called about twenty minutes earlier and called them back. Smith's had responded within the hour and the serviceman had been at my house but was now going to another job. He said he could stop by afterwards. At around 6:30 he showed up and made quick work out of an obstruction that had been a problem for about two years. At least two plumbers had attempted to fix it previously. One of whom, Josh at DDS Plumbing, had recommended Smiths.

They were fair and got to the work very quickly. They even did a little bit more than expected and didn't charge for it. I found them online and my wife called them. They came out right away and fixed the problem.

This company was wonderful to work with! Came out after hours when the sewer drain backed up toilet waste water into our basement. The technician made sure the initial clog was cleared so that we could use the facilities that night, then suggested sending a technician back the next day during regular business hours (when rates are cheaper) to put a camera down the line to determine the cause of the clog. A technician came out the next day, stuck a camera down the pipe & brought to my attention 2 pipe joints with circular rings of duct tape inside (leftover from the initial pipe install when the house was built) that were catching toilet paper, etc and causing a slow backup in the pipe. The technician cabled the line with a knife-like attachment to cut out the duct tape and re-videoed the line to make sure the duct tape was cut down. It's important to note that the same sewer drain backed up about a year ago. It was cleared and videoed by a different company - who never mentioned any duct tape in my pipes that might block the flow of waste. Smith's Sewer Service got to the bottom of the problem and fixed it! Highly recommend!!!!

They were fabulous. They were able to do what I needed to have done. They came when they said that they were going to come. They were professional, nice, clean and everything else. I liked them very much and I though that their price was reasonable.

We called on a Saturday. Jeremy came to our house within an hour. He got right to work and opened the drain pipe with a snake. He was great and we would not hesitate to use this service again.

Smith was called after another service was unable to clear a sink line twice. Smith's technician came in with the appropriate tools for the job, took 4 times to clear the line, but was positive and happy during the process. The tech also gave recommendations for my older pipes and gave me a 30 day guarantee on the service provided. I was very happy with the service.

They called when the serviceman was dispatched. He came right away. Had to remove the stool to clear the clog. cleared the pipe replaced the stool and left. He cleaaned the bathroom and did not leave a mess.

It was as always.i have used this company for at least 20 year,with a few exceptions.they have always been honest and reliable.did the job in 1hour .no padding or goofing around.

The sewer in my basement was experiencing back-up so I contacted this company based on the reviews I read. I was informed that someone would call me before arrival - no one called on Monday and I was very surprised that he rang my doorbell at 9:15 pm. On the second call, I did receive a phone call but I got the impression the technician was not happy about having to come out to my house. He arrived approximately 5:00 pm. I felt that these people did not believe me when I stated the problem was probably tree roots - I know my house better than they do and should have, in my opinion, checked the main pipe before cleaning the kitchen drain on the first trip. I will not be using this company again.

has been putting in some LONG hours each day. The day he came here he started at 6am and did not get to us until shortly after 9pm. Fortunately it only took him a little over one hour to clear the sewer. Very good job done by Smith's. I would strongly recommend them for anyone needing residential sewer work done. Chris was our service person and provided excellent service! He was prompt, friendly, professional and definitely knew what he was doing. I would highly recommend Smith Sewer Service due to their excellent work and competitve pricing. Our work was done on a Saturday and we were not charged overtime rates because their normal work week is Monday thru Saturday!

Had them come out to check out a backup with a washing machine drain. Turned out to be a slow draining sewer pipe. Snaked the pipe back from the septic tank access and opened up the pipe. A few days later water backed up again and more severely. They came out and were unable to snake the pipe. Turned out it was a rotten cast iron pipe which had failed. They located the blockage/rotten portion and that was that. They did a good job. No complaints about the service. They were fair given the amount of time they spent diagnosing the problem on a Saturday afternoon/evening. Would call again if had plumbing problems.

Went well after he tried his handheld snake.

He was here within minutes after we first called Smith's. He quickly and efficiently unclogged the disposal and we will definitely use Smith's again.

I came home to a wet basement and backed up sewer line two days before Thanksgiving. I got ahold of Smith Sewer through a recommendation. They worked me into their schedule and showed up the same afternoon I called. One of the two individuals were very friendly. The other wasnt rude but he wasnt very open to talking either. They did a good job of laying sheets down so they didnt make a mess. They were done in about a half hour, cleaned up when they were done, and described what was wrong as they left. The price was good and they were quick. I would use them again.

It took two hrs. but he took off 1/2hr. for phone calls.

Smith Sewer has been professional and courteous most of the time. Occasionally one of their employees will not be particularly friendly, but most of them have been pleasant to talk to. We had them trace our sewer line for a future replacement, and the technician was able to offer some suggestions on who to hire to perform the work. They have been instrumental in helping us understand the nature of our sewer problems, and usually clean up the area nicely after a sewer cleaning.

My finished basement flooded with sewage backup at night. I called around for a company to come and snake it that same night. The receptionist was very nice and their price was competitive. The first service man to call be back didn't appear to want my business and asked if he could just come the following day. I had to work the next morning and wanted the sewage level to stop rising, so I asked him to come that night. He arrived and since I didn't know where the main pipe was, he snaked it through the toilet in the basement. He did some clean up. Two days later, my basement flooded with sewage again and I had to have the company come out again. The second serviceman was very friendly and helpful and with very little effort, he helped me find the main sewage line and he snaked it from there. Problem solved. The second experience was better than the first, but would have preferred the job to have been done right in the first place, as the re-flooding delayed the contractors to come an and clean out the basement. I also found out that the first service man over-charged me, which was disappointing. I would use them again, but I'll ask for the second service man to come out - not the first one!

This job was complicated by the fact that two separate rental units were involved. The technicians worked dilligently to do what they could with limited access. Once I was able to provide full access, they returned and finished the job. There was an overflow of the stool in the lower unit and they cleaned up the problem beyond what I expected. The severity of the clogged lines took some real effort on their part to remedy. But they worked dilligently and professionally and solved the problem. I sincerely believe that a lesser company would not have been able to accomplish the job. The techs were friendly, professional, skilled, and very service oriented. I deal with many service companies in my business. So when I say they are top notch, it is based on a lot of experience. I would absolutely reccomend them to anyone. They sure did well by me!!

We were having issues with sewer smell coming from the basement. We call Smiths, made an appointment for the next day. The gentleman who came out was prompt, courteous, and informative. He found that we had a sink drain with no trap, capped it off for us. Before leaving he told me that if that didn't fix the problem that he would come back out free of charge but felt he had taken care of the issue. Sure enough, no more sewer smell. I would use the company again!

This company has been great to work with; they have clean out my Mother and Sister Sewer line. They have been very helpful and friendly. I would use them again in a minute.

This company is very responsive. They know and understand you need service right away when you have no toilet! They come fast and get the job done right, and don't charge an arm and a leg.

After living in our home for nearly eight years, we had a sewage backup from the basement drain just before Christmas. Had one of the large sewer services come out and clear the clog and TV the sewer line; they found some offsets in the pipes but nothing major. They said a house the age of ours (12 years) should not have such problems. Then, in April, we had a second backup. We were having some other household repairs done (hadn't joined Angie's List yet), and our handyman recommended Smith's. The technician was able to come out and clear the problem, but when he TV'd the pipes he found a bigger issue: a breach in the sewer line. The tech spent two hours looking around in the line for other potential problems and returned the following morning with another tech to look at the line and confirm what he suspected. He recommended an excavation company to repair the breach. He only charged us for an hour of labor and an hour of camera work. After we had the area excavated (under the driveway), another Smith's tech came back to TV the line from the driveway to the house and the driveway to the city connection and gave us the all-clear; no extra charge. We can't say enough good things about Smith's and their technicians. These guys are professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. They didn't talk down to me (as many repairmen do to women) but answered all my questions respectfully and completely. I hope we never have sewer problems again, but if we do we will call Smith's Sewer Service.

Went well, took a while as he had to pull the toilet, which pushed up the cost of the visit. Got the job done and no complaints so far.

We noticed the kitchen drain was plugged. I called Smiths and they sent someone over to clean it. The person brought the machine in, cleaned the drain, and left everything cleaned up.
