Green's Appliance Heating & Cooling

I started by submitting a RFP to five respected suppliers. Evaluated them all on as level a plane as possible and selected the best with weighting heavy on price (but not entirely). It was a long wait due to prior commitments on their part. In reflection, It all went well. I had carefully laid out expectations and requirements. They were responsive to them, not argumentative as I feared they might be. They seemed to reflect the attitude that the customer is always right (even when wrong). I did have a question on chimney flue sizing that they were responsive to in a non condescending way, which I appreciate. They met all of my rather demanding requirements and did so in a professionally responsive manner. there were no surprise charges when the job was done. We still await the Mid America rebates however.

Like many AL providers with high ratings, they seem to be too busy. They never returned my call for the estimate for the HVAC installation. I called twice, leqving messages both times. They did respond to my appliance repair. The person came out and seemed to be very much in a hurry. I let him know I think it needs a new fan and described the leakage and noises I heard. He identified two problems and vacuumed out the bottom using a nitrogen blower. He also told me to shut it off for 2 hours because of an ice clog. After both of those measures, nothing has changed. I still think it needs a new fan, or some other part. They clearly provide high quality service for many clients bc of their A rating. This was just not my experience. Again, I think many AL providers with high ratings are just too busy. I would like a refund, so I can go someplace else.

Quote was very competitive and covered sizes, efficiencies, costs, and rebates. I felt no pressure and felt I could trust the company. I also chose to go with them because they were local. Installers arrived on schedule, installed the new unit with no problems. Installers were professional, polite, and tidy. I couldn't ask for a better experience.

Prompt, courteous, knowledgeable. Explained all he was doing and gave an estimate of the cost before proceeding.

Zach and Tee showed up on time and went right to work (even in the pouring rain). They finished a capacitor replacement in about 20 minutes, and even checked the rest of the unit for any other problems. They were very courteous and professional. No attempt at up-selling or add-ons. Will definitely use them if needed in the future. Believe the positive reviews.

The worker arrived on time, and we could tell that if anyone could fix our washer, he could. He had the right part with him and he knew how to install it. When workers know how to fix what is wrong and bring the right part, it's important. We appreciated his professionalism and ability to do the work. We will call Green Appluance again if we need an appliance repaired. No one wants to pay more than they need to for a service, and the price seemed fair.

After getting quoted by another company to replace my A/C unit for $3700 I wanted a 2nd opinion. I spoke with DJ on the phone Friday, he was prompt and knowledgable. Wednesday their tech, Mark, came out and diagnosed the issue as needing a new capacitor for $183. Thank you thank you for your honestly and wonderful customer service!

It was really fantastic. The service professional pointed out something that the builders of our house had missed (or cut corners on) and gave us a quote for how much it would cost to fix it. It was a really honest evaluation and I was very impressed.

I called Green's and Bob came out to help us. He was extremely knowledgeable and he came out in one service call to fix ALL three issues. I only had to pay for the parts and the service call. He was very professional even cleaning up afterword to make sure there was no mess. I recommend them to everyone that has a need.

My furnace went out on a very cold weekend. I called in the AM and it was fixed that PM. Rich the tech was great and they had the required part on the truck. Great service and very friendly both on the phone and at my house. Would use them again in a heartbeat.

Technician was professional and I was comfortable with his assessment of the issue. He didn't try and up-sell me anything.

She understood from the call that a Tech would be able to fix the problem in a short time during the call. When he showed up, he ran diagnostics and said he would have to order parts. He told her that they don't carry many parts and almost always have to order parts after a first visit. We had to wait several days for him to return with parts. When he installed the parts, the dryer began to work, but it failed again in a different way within an hour. Again we had to wait for a service call to fix the second problem. At one point during this unsatisfying experience, my wife called and complained to the owner or manager. She was obviously upset, but the owner/manager was unprofessional enough to get into a heated discussion with her. We have never had such a bad experience with any appliance repair business. I would not use this provider again in the future.

This was bad from the beginning. My wife called for a service call quote. She was given a price and was told that the service tech should be able to repair the dryer in half an hour or so. She scheduled the appointment later than she had hoped, because an earlier day wasn't available. When the tech arrived, he diagnosed the problem and provided a cost for the repairs. He then told her that he didn't carry many parts, and it would be 2 or 3 days before he could get the part we needed. Near the end of the second day, my wife called to see if the part had arrived. She was told that some parts had arrived, but no one had looked to see what parts were in the boxes. On the third day, the tech returned and replaced the part. The dryer worked for about 30 minutes, and then another problem appeared. Of course, he had already left. When she called to speak to the owner/manager about getting this fixed and to complain about them not carrying parts, he was rude. The next day, the tech came back, replaced some more parts, and charged us for them. In summary, we thought we were dealing with a company that had adequate inventory to repair our dryer timely, and this was not the case. Our dryer was out of operation for over a week, and we were not treated very nicely during the repair process.

I bought a gas stove from a large box store. When I purchased the stove I was told that the delivery men would also install the stove as long as the gas line was up to code. I had a new gas line installed prior to the scheduled delivery. Getting the stove delivered was a nightmare. On the day before the delivery the assistant manger tells me that they no longer have someone who is certified to install gas stoves - so I needed to fine someone in a hurry. The assistant manager suggested that I use another service (similar to Angie's List) which was a complete joke! I went back to my faithful Angie's list and found that Greens installs appliances. I explained the situation and they had someone out the very next day to install my stove. Their responsiveness is great. I will definitely use their service again.

Appointment was scheduled within 24 hrs. of calling about the problem with the dishwasher. Arrival for the service call was within the appointment time window. Technician called within 30 minutes of arrival. Technician quickly diagnosed the problem and provided a repair estimate for the replacement of the sump motor. He had the repair part in the truck. Trip charge was waived. My cost was based on the flat rate for the replacement of the motor. Technician provided tips for preventing damage to the sump motor in the future. Technician ran the dishwasher and checked for leaks before leaving. No problems a month later.

At $238 I said we'd shop for a new dishwasher. Repairman closed up dishwasher and commented on how he'll be out of a job soon with this throwaway economy. Also said he would talk to management to see if they could reduce price but I never heard back. Paid $65 service call fee which was disclosed upfront. I would have appreciated a quote before hand since I gave the company the name, model and serial # of the dishwasher and stated exactly what was wrong. Afterwards, I researched this problem on the internet. Purchased a $30 part and repaired it myself. I should have done that first. $238 for a $30 part and an hour of work - including drive time, is to me a ridiculous charge. On a positive note, the customer service department was very prompt to respond when setting up the appointment and called to tell me when the technician was on his way. I have not had any follow up calls since the appointment.

Service provider was knowledgeable, well-trained on LG refrigerators and professional. The office person who set up the appointment was very nice also.

They originally told me they didn't service my area. When I brought it to their attention that they indicate they service my zip code they were willing to honor the deal, but I have not heard back from them.

It has been good and I have had really good luck with them. They have been really fair in pricing. The technician was professional and put stuff over his shoes so he did not track stuff in the house. The scheduling was good and it did not take too long. They have a responsive office staff.

Serviced AC system, cleaned outside unit. Found minor leak. Added coolant and leak fix for a very reasonable extra amount. Tech was courteous, professional and fast. I've used a lot of different services in the past and I'll stick with these guys moving forward.
