They are great and I would rate them highly on all categories. I have used them for a number of years.

They were excellent and I would use them again.

They were punctual. They diagnosed the problem and fixed it in one visit. They are easy to talk to and understand.

After they reviewed my HVAC system I did all the work myself because I had trouble with a previous HVAC vendor. I ordered my parts from Schaal and they have been positive to deal with. I will use them again in the future.

They showed me that the furnace I had was a little big for the house and there was something about it going on and it was time that I got an energy efficient furnace. So, I did that and my heating bill has gone down by $150 in the winter time. I also got an energy credit of $500 for doing it. They used to come every year and clean the furnace before that. They were always good and prompt and they didn’t charge me very much for that service. They told me that I didn’t have to have them come out. If I wanted to I could just come to their shop and get this thing that filters the hot water and put it in myself. Any time they offer you a suggestion that would cost them money and save you money I think that is a good company.

I didn't pay them to give me a quote that I would expect be around $6500.

They have a very high standard of service and always do a great job and are very thorough with their work.

Schaal is great to work with, they have reasonable prices, and are very professional.

When I had questions they were answered, they were neat and professional, and they did not recommend doing a bunch of service that was not necessary. When I have heating or A/C service required, I trust Schaal to take care of it fairly and correctly. Because of my experience with a few of these issues, I have a service agreement with them, and I feel like they are going to do what is necessary and keep my systems in working order. I need to rely upon a professional so I need to trust what they tell me. I recommend them to family and friends.

It became apparent about 9pm Friday that my central air unit was not working properly. I looked up HVAC companies and phoned Schaal about 10pm, since they advertise 24 hour response. I arranged for a visit at 9am on Saturday. I was informed the trip charge was $99 and parts were about 10% more. Despite my misgiving about the part up-charge, I wanted it fixed, so said OK. Dennis Lane phone me about 7:56am Saturday and asked if he could come out. I agreed. He arrived at 8:09am, and immediately took a short phone call. He took another call later. Neither lasted more than a minute or so. He removed some covers, and quickly pointed out I had a bad capacitor. He retrieved a new one from his truck. It was a Totaline Dual Capacitor, part P291-4054. He said it was $258, which he thought was about 10% more than during the week. Not really having any other option, I agreed to install it. He put it in, said the fan sounded fine, and closed the hatches. He left about 20 minutes after arrival, after being paid. I am happy with the service, and responsiveness. The fix was effective. I will call another company next time, because I feel they gouged me for the parts. I understand paying more for time on the weekend, but not more for the same part he carries around in his truck during the week. That's exploitation, and should be condemned. Please be clear: I feel the extra trip charge is fine. I expect it. My only issue with the visit was being overcharged for parts. The same part is available online, and someone is making a profit, for $184. I was charged $74 more, and according to the technician, $23 more than during the week. Parts should not cost more at different times, I feel.

Our furnace had started to make some awful noise and when we called Schaal's we learned that the fan was dying. The tech also showed us that the heat exchanger had popped a number of rings and was on borrowed time. Within two days of the install date for the new furnace, the old one stopped working. Schaal's sent out a tech free of charge who got it working for another day. The next morning, the furnace completely died on a day with the average high of 20 degrees. They sent out another guy who agreed that it was dead. He set up 4 big space heaters through the house to get us through until the installation of the new furnace the next day. Again, no charge. The installers were very nice, very professional, and they did a good job. We love the new furnace.

They are reputable, honest and professional.

I had several bids and talked to other companies. I chose this company because what the rep told us worked for our situation and he was knowledgeable. They only downside was that they had to vent the pump outside through our brick wall. They are not masons. It did turn out wavy. Otherwise, they were willing to come to the house to iron our glitches.

This company was not good at all. From what they charged me I found out that I could have got it cheaper at the hardware store. I talked to the owner and he agreed that he would give me about fifty percent back from the price.

It went well, he was very nice. The air conditioner still works when I want it to. Me and my family are still very pleased with it, and it keeps us cool.

Schaal did an excellent job on this big project. They had numerous workmen in the house for the time that the project took. Each workman seemed to have expertise in the area that they were working in. When surprises came up they told me about them, explained the options, and proceeded with the work.
