Quickly and neatly.

Very quick and responsive. Came in and did the job in 20 minutes.

I contacted this company based on reviews posted on Angie's List. When I contacted the company, they were willing to come out the same day but I asked for the next day. I was willingly obliged. I was called about 10 minutes prior to Jeff's arrival. When I took him to the basement, I explained the problem. He looked at the backed-up water, determined the problem was with the kitchen drain and he proceeded to clean it. When he was finished, he stated some minor clean-up probably needed to be completed by me - when I went to the basement, all I noticed was a small pieoe of dirt on the freezer. He was very professional and answered my questions in easy to understand language. I would hire this company again.

I called Thursday and left a detailed message that I had an older house with a clogged bathtub that had an old 'canister type' trap. i received a call back within an hour. He informed me the cost would be $70.00 if he could clear the blockage, otherwise it would be about $125.00 if he had to replace the drain line. Arrangements were made for between 9:00 and 10:00 am the next morning, Friday. When I arrived about 9:10 he was waiting. I showed him the plumbing in the basement and he explained what he would do. The work was completed in a short time (less than an hour) and he showed me what he had done, explaining that he had also snaked out the existing drain that the new attached to. I asked him to look at the hot water valve on the tub as it would not shut off properly. He kindly accommodated this request, showing me how to take it apart, what needed to be done to fix it and explaining what parts I might need and where to get them. He did not charge extra for this information. I was satisfied with his initial response, promptness at the job, his apparent knowledge and skill, and helpfulness.

It went quite well. My wife was home, and said the service man was polite and fast. I don't have more detail than that, because I wasn't there when the service was performed.

They came in, took in the overall situation, decided what needed to be done and went to work. I had approximately 6and quot; of sludge in my basement. After about 5 minutes of opening up the and quot;clean outand quot; the sludge dissappeared. I was truly amazed as I watched it go down a floor drain, that as I said, hadn't had anything go down it for 10-15yrs. I will never, ever use any other service than Des Moines Drain Cleaning Svc!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you're concerned about your floor's cleanliness, I'd lay down some old rugs or newspaper or something to protect it, especially if they're going to need to haul in their big, greasy, power snake - like they have to whenever they come here.

lear block in bathroom sink, looked at leaking facet and recommended getting new facet instead of spending alot on special washers, very nice and helpful

Called this morning at 9:00 am. I requested service the noon hour and they called to verify my address and came at 12:30 pm. Checked our drain spoke in detail with my husband about the tree roots they found and snaked the drain and gave us a 30 day guarantee to call back if it backed up again. They reccommended us to have the concrete broke apart and to pull out tree roots and repipe in the future because it will get worse but there was no pressure sales. Quick fast and easy, Good job. We did have to clean up the mess left behind though from the sewer water but it was not that bad it took a large towel and bleach to clean and we were done in five minutes.

I called Des Moines Sewer on the strength of a recommendation by Holt Plumbing (who repaired a shut off valve for me the day before), and by Angie's List ratings for the company. He was able to come out at 8:00am the next morning, though I cautioned him that I had to leave by 9 in order to go to work. He assured me that "I work pretty fast." He arrived on time, was friendly and thorough, got the job done (pretty fast), gave me an invoice, I gave him a check, and he was gone and I was backing out of my drive at 9. The bill was just under $80. Exactly what I'd expected to have to pay for the service.

This man was very helpful and knowledgeable. Would definitely call this company again.

Called in the evening. They said they could come the next day. They came the next day, learned of the problem (water was backing up in the basement). They tried to get water to back up again, but it didn't. They put the rooter thing in the sewer line and went all the way to the street and came up empty, didn't find wood chips or anything suggesting roots or growth. They speculated might have been a temporary dam or possibly something in the street drain that cause the original problem. They charged $90.00 We had used the Roto-Rooter man a couple of years earlier and they had charged $450.

They were good, but I didn't use them. I had a phone conversation with them, but they didn't come out to look at the job. They were fine.

As I said, he was diligent and as excited as I was that the problem fixed so easily...While he didn't look like a polished pro. he presented as a man who knew his business. I am very pleased!

They were good. The guy who came out went out of his way and did some extra plumbing work on a drain. He didn’t charge me much for that. He was fine and I would use their services in the future too.

Two plumbers arrived, one was familiar with our basement and sewer line already so he knew exactly what he needed to do. The brought in their huge power snake and cleaned out the line as far as they could go (100' I think.) Left the tree roots in a bucket near my drain so I could see what they'd accomplished.

First I got on angie's list and found Des Moines Drain and Sewer cleaning, checked out the reports on the company then called. They were very friendly and professional on the phone and said they would be at our home before noon. Paul is GREAT!!! He called before arriving at our home, met me with a smile and said "Let's see what we have here". He got right to work and is very knowledgeable about his business. The problem was a little more entailed then first thought but he and his son got right to work and before long everything was working like a charm. Everything was put back together and cleaned up, I could not have been happier. Paul and his son are very professional, kind and informative. I will definitely recommend this family owned company and use them again ( let's hope not anytime soon)!!! :)

They were very courteous. They came on our schedule. They called several times throughout the day to check in to see if we were ready for them to come in and do the work.

Our kitchen drain was not draining. Called Des Moines Drain and they came within an hour and a half of my call. Fixed the problem and were very good about cleaning up afterward. There was an extra fee for cutting the pipe and the cost of band, but I felt it was quite reasonable . They were very professional and efficient, obviously quite experienced. Advised us on how to prevent a future problem.

They did a really good job. We haven't had any problems since. I was really pleased with the fact that they were great at keeping everything clean. They even brought in blankets to help keep things protected and take extra caution. Overall they did a great job.

Discovered our sump pump was no longer working. Called Paul and told him our situation. He told us what he could do and when he could be here. All was reasonable. He called us back to let us know he was on his way. He very quickly resolved our problem. He also explained why we had our problem. He went over the warranty of the pump he installed. An excellent warranty by the way. Five years compared to the usual three. Was very happy with his service. Professional and polite. Great job Paul! Thank you again!
