He was early, communicated all options well, worked efficiently, and was very pleasant to deal with.

They came out to give an estimate on what another plumber deemed a major job and expensive. The other plumber wanted to cut a hole in the wall behind our shower to replace the faucet. DDS said with 95% confidence they could get the faucet fixed without cutting into the wall. And they did! I couldn't be happier about paying for a plumbing repair. I will definitely use DDS again in the future.

Don and his son were by far the cheapest bid and they did a great job. It only took half a day to complete. The cost ended up being $45 dollars over the estimate, but Don stuck to the quoted estimate. It was obvious that he prides himself on the work that he does.

The pressure relief valve on my hot water heater started leaking over the weekend. I called early on a Monday morning and they were able to send someone out later in the morning. The tech seemed knowledgeable and worked quickly. I feel lol he knew was he was doing and definitely shared his knowledge with me so now I understand what was going on.

When I initially called they did not think there would be an opportunity to fit me in but would need to shoot for the next day. The owner contacted his son and asked if he had time to swap out a sump. He said he did and then the son contacted me. He came out as he didn't really want me to be without a functioning sump. He came in and said no problem to replace after testing the old one. GOOD THING. We had a lot of rain last night and shortly after I awoke heard the sump kick off. It has run several times since then. I'm very happy at the thoughtfulness and courteous attitude who I've met and talked with. I am very likely to use their services in the future.

They slacked off a bit I felt like they were rushing and that affected their craftsmanship.

Discovered the leak Sunday morning with a big wet stain on the kitchen ceiling. The upstairs toilet (it had been leaking for sometime and did not know it). I shut off the water supply and mopped up the water. I called DDS Plumbing first thing on Monday morning and they sent some one out to the house the same day at a time that was convenient for me to leave work. I showed him the toilet and my concern that the seal might be bad as that was where the water was coming from. He took the lid of the tank and also looked over the bottom of the toilet. He found the problem right away and had me come up to see the problem. I told him to go ahead and fix it which took him less than a 1/2 hour. He then showed me the rusted and corroded pieces that he replaced and showed me the fixes. Showing the customer the broken pieces is a nice step by the plumber which builds trust. I had used DDS Plumbing before for a slow water output from a kitchen sink and it was refreshing to see that they are just as great the 2nd time (not just the 1st time make a good impression). They are truly a company provides the best quality, low cost service EVERY time. I will continue to use them and have given their name and phone number to my family members and friends. He arrived a few minutes ahead of schedule, asked questions to understand what my expectations were and went right to work. He was able to replace both the faucet and the disposal in about an hour. He cleaned up the mess from the work and was very friendly and professional throughout the process. He offered tips and suggestions of how to ensure that the new disposal and the faucet remained in good working order and gave me other tips that might make the set up more convenient. Thanks DDS! I will definitely be calling you for future plumbing needs.

12 days thus far and still haven't heard back from them. Apparently, they don't want to work in West Des Moines.

Same day service as call even though this was not an emergency. Scott was very professional and quick. He also advised on a possible solution that we could try ourselves to our hot water heater not quite heating the water as hot as it should. Very satisfied with this plumbing company.

DDS Plumbing exceeded all of my expectations. They were on time, honest, reasonably priced, and got the work done fast. It was a stubborn leak and they came back again, no charge, until the job was done right.

He showed up on time and ready to do the job. He answered all of my many questions and worked like he had a sense of purpose instead of the dawdling I have seen in others. He explained the part which would take the most time and provided options for me when available including the differences in price. The job was completed timely and he picked up after himself as much as possible then took time to point out what little mess remained that really couldn't be cleaned up any better at the time (water was sitting in some places - unavoidable when draining a water tank). When it came time to bill he thought to ask how I heard about them and volunteered the information that I qualified for a 10% discount because of Angie's List. This project was done in about half the time the other 3 plumbers I spoke to estimated. The hourly rate was half what those other companies were charging.

The water flow from my kitchen sink faucet continued to decrease the water output. Called DDS Plumbing to get an estimate on having it fixed. They were very pleasant on the phone and could get someone out the next day and worked around the time I had availble. Scott showed up on time and immediately found the issue. The kitchen sink faucet nozzle filters were almost plugged with rust from the old galvanized pipes. He took the faucet nozzle apart and showed me where to locate the two filters. He took the filters out and cleaned them and put them back in and the problem was fixed. He then demonstrated again how to remove the filters and put them back in, so in the future if the problem happens again then I can clean them myself. He also clean up the sink where all the rust from the filters left a mess. I appreaciated that he was so honest and showed me how to fix the problem if it happens again. I will definitely use DDS Plumbing for all of my plumbing issues in the future.

Called them and they came within 20 minutes! AND it was after hours....so around 6pm. They don't charge extra for after hours so that's amazing, especially in a plumbing emergency. Don fixed the toilet and was gone within an hour. He knew exactly what the problem was and talked us through everything. They guarantee everything for up to 90 days too so that's nice. I HIGHLY recommend.

my water heater pilot light went out on Friday. I called my regular (now ex regular) plumber to come take a look at it. He did, was here maybe 15 minutes, lit the pilot light and left. 2 hours later it went out again. The old water heater was a kenmore. He took out all the assembly and put it back together and the pilot light wouldnt lite at all. By this time it was getting to be around 7 PM and he said he didnt know anything about kenmores. He said he would go home and look up what he needed to do and call me Saturday morning. By noon on Saturday I had left six messages and have not heard a word from him. I started calling around to see who could either work on water heater or install a new. Most everyone said they do not work on kenmores because their parts are special and most of the time you have to order them. Calling Sears and they told me 3 weeks they MIGHT have time to look at it. I got on Angielist and called DDS. I got ahold of the father and told him what was happening. His first question was do we currently have hot water and I answered no and he said they would install it that day. I went out and bought a Reem water heater from home depot and called DDS and the father said he would send his son out. The son came out and started to take the old water heater out when he notice that my "flu" vent was set in the wall in cement and took out his tape measurer and found out the new one we bought was 59 1/2 inches and my flu vent was set for 571/2 inches. He told us what we needed to look for in a water heater and said if we couldnt find one, his warehouse which didnt open till Monday would have one. He also said if we found one ourselves to call him back and he would install it. We returned the water heater to home depot and went to Lowes and bought a 52 inch Whirlpool on Sunday and called him back around 2 and by 6 we had hot water. He also corrected stuff with the previous installion that was wrong and found two small gas leaks. He was very very helpful and I would highly recommend him

Made an appointment and was able to schedule for same day, which was great! Later I received a phone call asking to come out a couple hours earlier than scheduled time, which was fine since I was home. They asked if i already bought the faucets, which i had. Very friendly, but arrived, looked at sinks then said they had to leave to get water lines(thought they would bring them with as they knew what the job was). This delayed my schedule for things I needed to do, but work was completed and he cleaned up well. A little bit of an up charge on the water lines, as I have bought them before(I wasn't sure why they needed replaced and he didn't explain which would've been nice). Overall, good work, friendly people. I would hire again, but would ask more specifics.

The phone was answered promptly and she was able to make the appointment within a few days. He showed up right on time and was very polite and professional. He completed the job quickly and cleaned up after he was done. He didn't even mind my dogs watching him work. I was very happy with their work and would use them again.
