Petersen Plumbing & Heating

My initial inquiry was answered promptly and a quote provided. My questions were answered and we agreed on the details. The Petersen plumber showed up when expected over a period of days and completed the plumbing tasks required in a very professional and neat way.

Their service is good. They have reasonable prices and they do quality work.

It was kind of an emergency situation and they responded rapidly. They handled it quite well.

They are a great place. They are my plumbing company. Anytime I have any plumbing problems I call them. They have been around for over 100 years. They are very efficient and very fast.

The service was very good. They got us in quickly. They came two days after we called them to do the work. They cleaned up well after the job. They detected that we had a broken flange and I felt what they charged us to replace it was reasonable.

Called at 12:20, they scheduled me for 1:00 the same day. I just got home from work on my noon break, and was pleasantly surprised to have the plumber ring my doorbell early. Very professional, and he explained what he was doing, as he was doing it, and gave tips to avoid or prolong having to call him again. Will use again!

The pipe that was broken was in the basement, but it went up into the second floor through the wall. I found them in the yellow pages. They did a good job. They were able to get someone out to fix the job right away after I called them. I haven't had any problems with the pipe since. I did not have any problems with them answering my questions. They arrived on time. They had to leave to go get parts. I had to pay for their time. They told me that they never keep any parts on their truck. I was able to talk them out of the half hour time of labor for the first guy to show up and give me an estimate. I would probably try to find someone else if I needed work done in the future.

They charged less than $100 for the floor drain. Anytime I can get a plumber out for less than $100, I think I am doing pretty well. They were real reasonable. They were on time and the guy was friendly. They did a good job. I would absolutely use them again.

I was given a choice of pumps and associated costs. The work was done correctly and promptly. During discussions with the installer he explained what and why he was doing certain activities. It was interesting although after 50 years experience with Heavy/Highway construction, I knew the answers.

Scheduling I called on Wednesday and they were able to schedule me for Friday which I was very satisfied with considering I had the day off from work. Puncuality The arrival time was scheduled for between 10:00am - 10:30am, but unfortunately he didn't show up on time. It was about 11:05am when I was starting to get frustrated and was just about to call when the technician called and informed me that he was running late. He said the office was supposed to call and was apologetic that nobody had contacted me. He said he was leaving another job across the river and would be here in about 20 minutes. Sure enough, he arrived by 11:30am as he stated so although he missed the first time I was happy that he made it as promised this time around. Service He set to work right away. After showing him the problem area, he was quick to get out the snake and within about 10 minutes he came up and told me the problem. The snake was running into mud which would mean that the pipe had busted under the concrete floor (boo for me). He explained what it would take to resolve the issue, but that he was not the person that would do the work nor could he provide an estimate. He gave me a business card for the main office and said that I could call and schedule an estimate if I was interested in having them do the work. Overall, it was quick, friendly, and to the point without a bunch selling which is exactly how I prefer things to be. Price $89.99 was the standard price for a floor drain/stand pipe snake job with a 6 month guarantee (I think) on the drain staying clear. This seemed in line with the $75 - $95/hour range of most plumbers so I felt it was fair. Future Business Yes, I will use them for plumbing needs in the future. Will I use them to bust up the concrete and fix the broken pipe under the concrete? I haven't decided yet whether I'll do most of the grunt work myself, but I'll be sure to post if I do have them do the work.

Staff were very helpful when setting up an appointment to replace the my water heater. When I tried to get the appointment moved up, they made every effort to reschedule others to accomdate me. Although it was not successful, the effort was appreciated. I was quoted that the job would take about 3 hours, and the service technician was finished in 90 minutes. Very pleased overall with the company.

After agreeing to a price on a foreclosed home, we called numerous subcontractors in the area to give us an estimate for repairs. Since we are moving from out of state, all this would have to be done with an appointment with our real estate agent. Our agent gave us Petersen Plumbing's name as well as a few others. After explaining our situation, I asked if I could make an appointment for a service person to go to the house for an estimate -- we had numerous large leaks due to the house not being winterized, so we believed that we needed all the pipes repaired or replaced. We also believed that we would be needing a hot water heater or tankless water heater in the near future. This is the only company that told me "no" they do not do free estimates. The price would be $85/hour! Not only did I think the price was extremely excessive, but all the other plumbers I contacted after this one have agreed to perform a "free" estimate.

They were prompt, reviewed the problem and went right to work, cleaned out the drain with no problems and cleaned up afterwords. Good Job, and was given a 6 Month Limited Warranty.

They are fair priced and good. They come on time and get the job done.

Overall, the service has been great.

The technician knew exactly what do do as soon as I described the problem, he did a very thorough job and was finished very quickly.

They provided a competitive bid. Performed the work ahead of schedule. Did one extra service (which I did not expect) as part of the contract. No additional cost.

Petersen's coordinated everything in this project from electrical to drywall. The installer was great. They put plastic down on the carpet from the front door to the bathroom so they wouldn't track on the floor. Would definitely recommend.

The service was very professional. The installer was courteous and worked really hard to make sure everything was done properly. Very responsive to follow up calls on how the new tank operated and what to expect. After this experience we used Petersen's again to have a new whirlpool tub installed.

It went excellent! Matt was assigned to my project. He was very friendly, courteous and I was comfortable having him in my house. He identified the problem quickly and completed the entire job (replaced the drain and P trap) in 1 hour and 30 minutes. And to think I avoided this repair for nearly 2 years... Very pleased overall and will use them again. OH! And Matt was kind enough to listen to a funny sound one of my toilets is making. I'm fairly handy and didn't want him to repair it but he suggested a Fluidmaster part and I should be fine. Appreciate the advice and excellent service. If you need a plumber in the QCA, Petersen is the way to go.

I found them to be very satisfactory and very honest. They did what they said they would.

I used to work with building plans and specifications, so I know just enough to be dangerous(and annoying). I always get a few quotes from different contractors to make sure that no one is ripping me off, and these guys are always a good value(maybe not always the lowest, but the lower quotes usually have other problems). I knew what brands of water heaters I would consider for the job, and they happen to carry my preferred brand(A.O. Smith)as their standard. They were never patronizing, and they listened to and addressed my concerns prior to starting. Their workmanship is excellent-well planned piping and neatly constructed. They were prompt, courteous, efficient, cleaned up after themselves and disposed of the old water heater as part of their service. I've used them before and I'll keep them at the top of my list.
