Everything about Andrew was professional from the first call through our appointment. He was upfront about everything and did a great job about explaining the whole process. During the inspection Andrew explained the rating system within the report and provided some great insight into houses of this age.

Andrew was an excellent inspector, a true professional. The first house we had inspected was a "fixer-upper." My wife and I knew it had problems, but Andrew uncovered some true treachery. The roof, which was disclosed at being no more than three years old, had ten layers in some places. The gutters were held with bookshelves, and he found exposed wiring in various places. The owner had lied on the disclosure in several areas, and with the inspection, we were able to realize that it would take tens of thousands of dollars just to get the house near code, gain our down money back, and pull out of what would have been an expensive horror of an experience. We invited him to inspect the next home we put money down on (a much better place), and he even gave us a discount since we had just used his services. Further, he explained each pro and con about the house. He traced where the pipes came from and led to, and what each was for. He talked about the furnace and taught us how to use the attached humidifier. He pointed out the trouble spots and gave us an idea of how severe they were, including a timeframe that we should fix certain things by. I cannot say enough about how much Andrew and A Closer Look Home Inspection did for my wife and I.
