The service call in reference was a very in depth diagnosis and required opening the wall to determine exactly where the leak was so it could be fixed appropriately. The State Licensed Master Plumber made the homeowner aware of the need to cut an opening in the kitchen cabinet to fix the leak and gave an estimate prior to doing the work. The homeowner was also made aware that the estimate did not include repair/replacing kitchen cabinets or repair to the drywall. We are not professional cabinet installers or dry-wallers but we would be more than happy to subcontract this part out at an additional price. The homeowner agreed to this and the work was scheduled for first thing the following morning. Before our technician left the shop the next day, the homeowner called and canceled the repair. Many invoices and statements were sent to the homeowner to collect for the work that was done on the first service call and they refused to pay because we had not repaired the hole in the wall that was used to determine where the leak was coming from even though it was written on the work order that drywall was not included in the bid. They also stated that "we took it apart but did not put it back together." Our intention was to put it back together until they called and canceled the work.
