Description of Work: I had an entirely new gas forced air furnace, and central air conditioner installed. They used existing ductwork, but everything else was new. I needed a replacement ASAP, as my old furnace was giving up the ghost. They were able to schedule me quickly, worked around my schedule, and were able to complete the job in a day. I had a small problem after the installation - there was a minor air leak in the connecting duct work that was causing a whistle! They came back quickly, diagnosed the problem, applied a patch, and I haven't had an issue since! | |Very professional, reasonably priced, responsive to my needs, and provided the services I needed, no problem! I would recommend them for all your HVAC needs!

Description of Work: We have a gas fireplace and had 2 other people looked at it (a retired gas company man and a heating/ac/plumbing man). Neither of them got it repaired. The last guy told us what parts to get, but it still didn't work. The last one thought it was the thermocoupling. When the man from Wycoff's talked to me on the phone, he was very friendly and told me that they sure would try to get it going. After looking at the schematic diagram, he simply moved the thermocoupling to an alternative site and viola! It lit! I had to pay mileage because we are out of the Des Moines/ Carlisle area, but I knew that before we made arrangements for the service call. Overall, a very good experience and I would recommend Wycoff's to anyone.

Description of Work: Installed a new Lennox A/C. I've worked with them for several years with my old A/C and now replacing the new one. The compressor went out the day before yesterday on my new unit, and they came out and replaced it.

Description of Work: The came to my business to repair the air conditioning which they installed approximately a year earlier so it was still under warranty. After five visits it still did not work correctly. On the sixth visit the technician told us it needed a 3 pole, 40 amp contactor transformer and charged me $330.72 to install it. The unit did quit within 12 hours of the repair. Another technician came out the next day and repaired the problem and I quote "He said I don't understand how they missed the problem. When I called Wyckoff to see if they would adjust or cancel the $330.72 invoice he wouldn't budge and his answer to me was "We have been in business for 60 years" giving me the impression he could care less about me as a customer. Just a point of interest it is 6 months later and the air conditioning has quit again. I also had to replace an air conditioning roof unit Wyckoff put about 5 1/2 years ago at another of my locations. Poor quality workmanship and questionable products.

Description of Work: I have an air conditioner from Trane that is about four years old and came with the house. It quit working last summer. Wykoff came out and replaced the compressor and it worked like a champ. This spring when we went to fire it up again it was again not working. Wykoff came out and replaced the compressor again at no charge to me. We are still working on the problem and have at this point discovered that it is Trane's crap quality of air conditioners that is the major malfunction. (apparently it's not all that hard to stop a Trane). Wykoff has been working with Trane to get replacement parts under warranty despite the fact that the unit wasn't purchased from their company. Although I am super frustrated at the situation Wykoff's professionalism has proven to be excellent and I will continue to do business with them.
