When Bob came out to give us an estimate, he agreed to take on this job even though there were some unknowns and hard to determine without "digging into" why some of the lights didn't work. When he arrived to complete the job, he was very professional, honest and worked with us on a number of things that came up. He even stabilized a floor joist that had been cut out by the previous owner (no idea why). In addition to properly running wires, installing correct junction boxes and conduit, he installed a whole house surge protector and a 2nd grounding rod. He advised on some wiring we could run ourselves for an outside light to save the cost of him doing the trenching work. I was very impressed with him and the quality of the work. He wants to do what's best for the customer and not in it just to make money.

After calling Bob and texting him a few of pictures, he determined what we needed and scheduled us for the next day. Bob arrived, offered a better option by installing a junction box where there had been none, and and replaced a significantly fried outdoor outlet. He was able to troubleshoot the cause of the melt-down, which was a loose connection. Knowing it is not a systemic problem is a great relief! Bottom line: Bob is a top-notch professional who uses technology (text messaging) to problem-solve before he arrives on-site, saving time and money. He was a friendly guy who showed up when he promised, and even tolerated our overly-friendly dog. The cost was reasonable and well-worth it considering the services he offered. I would not hesitate to call him for future work and would highly recommend him to friends a family.

Excellent service, very professional! Did an outstanding job! I called on a Thursday afternoon and they offered immediate service--came out to do my repair quickly, responded quickly, and did an outstanding job! I would definitely recommend them! I didn't expect such a quick service call because the several electrical companies I have called in the past continued to put me off and then never got back to me. Eagle Electric responded immediately and came out right away--fixed my problem and was so very friendly, courteous, professional--I just can't say enough good things about them! Highly recommended and will definitely keep this number close by for any future repairs I may have!

No assessment or service was performed by Eagle Electric because, as it turned out, the problem was with our septic pump so had to be serviced by someone with that experience/expertise. Bob did call me back though so I'd like to provide a positive rating as another local electrician we called didn't even return our call. Based on this, I would not hesitate to call Bob again if/when the need arises for electrical work.

Bob called me and asked some simple questions. We were able to figure out our problem on the phone. No visit necessary. I am marking them as a favored company for honesty and the willingness to help someone in need. Thank you Bob.

Bob was very quick and efficient. He knew exactly what he was doing, and was able to provide the documentation I needed to give the buyer of our property. Additionally, he's a very nice man and easy to work with. I will (and have) used him for all my electrical needs since this service.

Bob was scheduled for 1 Pm. He called and said he had time to come early, which I welcomed. He got right on the list of items the buyers of my house wanted fixed. He installed a GFI breaker on one outlet and installed a GFI breaker to resolve the issues on the north wall of the kitchen. He also fixed polarity issues on 8 outlets through out the house. He cleaned up after himself and was very professional.

Bob was out of state when I contacted him initially. However, he responded to my e-mails right away and was very accommodating. He worked with me to make an appointment for when he returned, and that was just to complete an estimate. Ames is a bit of a drive from Ankeny, and he did the estimate for free. He arrived on time and worked with my tight schedule. His estimate was more reasonable than two other companies who provided me a quote; he was willing to take the time to explain exactly what he would be doing, and what my money would be paying for. He provided options that the other companies did not offer. Bob went the extra mile when performing services, and I felt that he truly considered my situation and how to make sure I was getting a good value for my money. Eagle Electric Inc. was the most logical choice for electrical services, because Bob cares!

Bob came over to my house and gave me a quote and showed me how he would do the work. He listened to my concerns and answered every question. He scheduled me in a week later after he received the parts. He did the work in half the time that I thought it would take him. The work is "seamless", it looks like it was installed by the house builder. Very professional work. I highly recommend Bob and will certainly use him for any electrical work in the future!!

The light strip itself had a few problems. But Bob was there no less than four times to make it right. This was after we had already paid, and after he obviously had bigger and better jobs to move onto. But that is a testament to the quality of Bob's work. He isn't just an excellent electrician, Bob has integrity. I will never choose another electrician because Bob Norgaard is who I trust.

I called Bob late afternoon, extremely confused over my water heater not working or heating after a local plumbing company had just come out for the second time to fix it. They couldn't tell me what was wrong, so I decided to just get another opinion from an electrician, as we have an electric water heater. Bob was accommodating, prompt, and efficient. He knew what the problem was very quick into the situation. He tested our breaker and noticed the amps were way out of line, something the plumbing company could have and should have known. Bob even placed a call to the plumbing company for me, to ask them about how they wired things. They were really no help. So Bob and I found a diagram of the wiring of the inside of the water heater and it turns out the plumbing company had miswired the new internal water heater thermostat they tried to replace 4 days earlier. It was a quick fix for Bob and the water heater has worked great since. It was a relief to have someone who knew what they were talking about and be able to actually fix it, and give us hot water back after 5 days! I'd recommend Bob again, very nice, great guy to work with.

Bob is great to work with. Happy to answer questions and is extremely competent. He's the kind of electrician I've been looking for all these years.

I am so thankful for his quick service. I called today because I smelled burning from my breaker box panel. Terrifying, especially with two young children. Bob came immediately, and found the issue. He could have easily ups old me (suggest I needed a whole new panel) but didn't. Cost was very reasonable, especially for an urgent call. I'm very appreciative of the service I received today- and most importantly my family is safe.

Called Bob around 4:30 pm when the problem happened and left a message for a call back. This was the Monday before Christmas. That evening Bob returned my call to find out more information. I explained what had happened and that I had checked the breaker box and flipped the appropriate switches to reset but that did not fix the problem. Bob told me things were real busy with the short week before Christmas but he would try to get out either Tuesday or Wednesday to take a look at it. On Wednesday morning Bob called to say he was in the area and asked if he could swing by. He quickly discovered a loose wire in the fuse box and fixed it. He reported that there were 7 or 8 other loose wires so he had tightened all of them. Presto! Everything is working great now! Thanks Bob, I am so appreciative that you were able to get to me before the holiday. Although we would have survived, having electricity in the dining/living area will definitely make the upcoming holidays more enjoyable! This was the second time I have used Bob for electrical services. My previous experience was over two years ago and was just as positive as this time. Bob is very professional and courteous. You can tell he truly cares about delivering good service to his customers and his work has been on target both times I have used him. I strongly recommend Bob to anyone who needs a good electrician.

This was as good as it gets. If I could use A+, I would! I called Bob Norgaard in the morning and he came out that very afternoon. I know no one can always respond that fast and shouldn't be expected to, but since I caught him at a good time he seemed happy to do it. We even live at the very outside edge of how far he is willing to travel. He was here exactly when he said he would be and presented himself in a very professional and friendly manner. Bob checked carefully for safety issues, since my old unit had failed, and did the work quickly and efficiently. He was sensitive to price, discussed it with me and went out of his way to be fair. Perfect transaction!

Following a minor repair I performed on my older electric range, I found the circuit breaker wouldn't reset. On a Friday afternoon- "great," I'm thinking (g-rated version). I'm relatively new in town so I don't have a list of "go to" service providers. Based on Angie's List reviews, I decided to call Eagle Electric. Really glad I did. Bob shared that while he was just in WDM, he was already back in Ankeny but would stop by later in the afternoon. He came within an hour or so, found that the breaker was faulty, and replaced one that he had on his truck. Very patient with me looking over his shoulder and asking questions (I'm generally pretty handy, electricity notwithstanding). Bob only charged me with the breaker, service call, and 1/2 hour labor and had me back in business within 2 hours of my initial call when I thought I'd be without a stove for the weekend. I'd give him an A+ if I could...

Bob called in advance and showed up on time. He quickly took care of the repairs and was very professional.

Bob came over and gave me a price and was able to do the job that same day. He paid close attention to details of exactly what needed to be done. When done he said it ended up being cheaper and so lowered the final cost, so yes very honest. Very personable and nice to work with. I called Bob due to good reviews and an unexpected emergency on a HOLIDAY weekend. We had a contractor building a new front deck and one of our main breakers blew out while that work was in progress. Bob came out Saturday morning and fixed the breaker, then took a look at a basement light fixture that wasn't working, made a very quick fix and even helped me with a small leak on a plumbing pipe left behind by yet a different contractor. I could not ask for better service. I added him to my phone contacts as my regular electrician. I found his fee very reasonable. Definitely recommend!

I can't say enough good things about Bob, he was a pleasure to work with. He was very professional and responsive. After coming out to look at the projects, he provided a quote the next day. I felt his estimate was very reasonable and he was able to complete the job in one day and that included him using a roofing contractor to vent out the fan. I felt very comfortable with Bob in my home and they did a good job of cleaning up. I will definitely be using Eagle Electric the next time I need an electrician.

After having the brief smell during the night, I called Eagle Electric the next morning. Bob fit us in the same day, even though he was busy and wanted to find out the concern and give us peace of mind. By the time he arrived, he had done some research about this issue. After checking the electrical outlets in the house and the fuse box, he determined what had caused the brief smell. He was very professional, friendly, and knowledgeable about all things electrical. He set our mind at ease. If I have any more electrical concerns/needs, I will absolutely call Eagle Electric again.

Bob did a thorough walk through, asked poignant questions and talked through the process. He gave a reasonable bid when compared to others. In the end, we decided to DIY the job. I would recommend him however as it is apparent he knows his stuff.
