CandK was focused and diligent. They are based in Ames where I live. They were punctual and available when I had questions. I was offered a free Carrier Wi-Fi thermostat. I accepted. Installation issues with the powered "C" wire made me switch to a different thermostat. They handled all paperwork needed for rebates, and for a tax credit for the 2016 return. They have decades of experience. They know installation, and I chose them because I trust they will be in business for the life of my Carrier furnace and air-conditioner. The Dynamic air filter is the best filter I have ever seen in a residence. I just spoke with them today about also installing a new Rheem gas water tank to replace my existing tank.

I thought the pricing was pretty good. They were pretty responsive. I had an issue. They installed a new venting system and they did not properly clean the venting system before they installed it. So, it blew insulation all over the house when the air conditioner was activated. I would use them again. They are reasonably priced.

I would probably use them in the future. After they installed the unit, we kept telling them that it was making a weird sound. They would send out a technician, and the technician couldn't find anything, so they would charge us a service fee without fixing anything. I personally fixed the problem.

C&K did an outstanding job from estimate to installation. The salesperson wasn't pushy and let me go through the process at my own pace and ask as many question as I wanted, and was knowledgeable about what energy rebates were available and how to use those rebates to maximize savings. The crew that showed up was incredibly and polite and professional during their time at the house: laying down carpet protecting mats, always asking permission before doing things, and explaining the process as it went along. Both the furnace and AC were replaced (even though Mother Nature wasn't cooperating whatsoever with -20 temperatures outside and some ferocious winds, the guys did a great job with the install both in and out of the house).

Showed up on the day they said. Installed the unit. However, as previously agreed with the guy they sent out to survey the job, they did not have the ability to use the Pex cold water line. They wanted to use a saddle clamp to tap into a copper cold water line. This was not acceptable, so when they came to install the unit I had to insist that they hook up the water to the un-used Pex line. This meant that we had to wait for their "plumber" to come to the house with the tool to install the valve on the Pex line. The wait was not terribly long, but it was annoying since I did specify in the survey that I wanted the Pex line used for the water supply hook up. I guess nobody ever reads the entire work order.

It went very well for a busy furnace season. Since it was the first cold spell, we did not expect to get service for a long time (despite our house being very cold), but we only had to wait for one day. When the service man came, he was very accommodating to my fast explanation since I only had one minute to talk to him before running out the door. Very friendly and understanding.

Started not so good but ended up very good. The installation dates were very cold and, it turns out, the first furnace unit they installed was slightly too small to keep up with the below zero temperatures--probably because we have lots of glass. It took a day to diagnose this. On January 7 they installed the next larger unit and it has been working just fine. Besides the new furnace keeping us warm, we really liked that C and K stuck with the project until it was right. They spent several hours working at this. PLUS they did not charge us for the incremental cost for the new, larger furnace.

They did very well. He was done quickly and got here right on time. The guy was pretty knowledgeable and explained what was wrong with it. However, it was expensive.

I have my furnace checked in the fall and A/C in the spring. They do a thorough job of checking the system. Very courteous and professional. I would recommend them to anyone.

They came right on time and even called me before they came. They gave me two estimates and they gave me a lot of choices based on how much I wanted to spend. They were very good. The workers were very conscientious about walking through the house with the equipment. Later, my furnace started acting up and they came out right away and fixed it at no extra charge. They worked very hard and they just had to replace a faulty part. I was really happy with them! They took care of all the rebates and sent them all in. They did a really nice job.

Everything turned out good. They were able to get here almost immediately and take care of my issues and they took the old water heater away.

Everything went fantastic! They were very prompt. When we had given the call, they were right on top of it. Our AC went out on the hottest day of the year. They were out here by 8:30 the next morning even though they are 30 miles from us. The technicians that came out were absolutely fantastic as was the salesman who never pressured us into buying anything we didn't need.

Furnace being used early in season and noticed a "weird noise" that continued to get worse over a couple days. Great service scheduled the same day as we called. Diagnosed problem and had to go back to shop for part but was back within an hour or so and all was well. C & K is great to work with; technicians and shop staff always courteous and helpful. Often going above and beyond the norm. We use them for seasonal service as well - checking heating equipment in early Fall and air conditioning in early Spring. Those checkups can't catch everything of course such as the recent furnace issue, but it's great to know our equipment is checked and ready for upcoming season. Their prices are competitive as well. We are very pleased.

C&K were always easy to work with - they were easy to schedule with; they kept their appointments; and their staff were helpful and knowledgeable.

Everything turned out ok. When they turned on the heat in the garage, there was a gas leak. We called them on a Saturday but they were really good about coming out to fix it right away. They were really professional about fixing it as well! So far everything is working fine.

They did good! I had heard a bunch of people that had good luck with them, so I chose them. They completed the work in two days. I had three bids from other contractors but this company came in the lowest.

They turned out ok. I thought they were very professional in their work.

The guys they send out are knowledgeable and easy to talk to. They are happy to explain what they are doing and why they are doing it. They convinced me to sign up for a contract to get my heater and air conditioner checked every year and it works out just fine.

We are on an annual service agreement, and I don't recall the price off the top of my head. The workers were professional.

They are great. I’ve know the owners for a while as the company has been around a long time. Their pricing is competitive. If they can’t give you an answer right away, they always call you back. They are great communicators. Mike Fowles does a stand up job for them. I think he and the owners are what make this company great.

It turned out very well. We’ve used them for 40 years. They are always reliable.

Everything worked out fine. It was a straightforward job.
