Description of Work: Remodeled two bathrooms with installation of new toilets, bath tub and step in shower. They also repairs minor termite damage. I had a problem with one toilet that decided to leak at the floor area. They came out after three months and repaired a broken wax seal at no cost. Very responsive to problems after the work is done.

+ 2 morePaul is a one man band handyman and is able to do a variety of jobs. He works efficiently and is punctual. He picked up larger bulkier items for me from Home Depot at will call. He took old carpet to the dump for me. I have a long list for him, he comes once or twice a week to knock out items on my list. So far he has painted, repaired water damage, installed new flooring and base molding and put up some new light fixtures. Next week he is going to hang new doors and re caulk my shower. And the list goes on. I found him through Angie's List and I would recommend him to friend and family.
Description of Work: Painting bedrooms, installing vinyl plank flooring, installing light fixtures, change electrical face plates, repaired water damage to drywall, installing new baseboards.

+ 1 moreOverall, Mr. Boultinghouse lied that he specializes in electricity, He also purposely prolong his servcing time to collect more payment from you. He insisted on paying him hourly instead of paying by each completed project. Go figure!! Who want to hire an untrustworthy guy. Now we know why his business is suffering. We just don't want anyone out there get burn by HandyWorks
Description of Work: First, we called Mr. Boultinghouse & asked if he could fix our door bell which involved in electrical wiring. He claimed that he specializes in electricity, but unlicensed. We thought we would give him some business because he said that he needed some money. He was late on the date of service, he spent 6 hours in our garage tried to figure out what was the problem. Then in 5 minutes time, he claimed that he fixed the door bell. Then he demanded $240.00 for the service. Since he wasn't able to answer my question what was the problem, I asked him about his work waranty. He said that he would warant his work for a year or money back guarantee. The following date we realized that he didn't fix the bell but also messed up all the wiring because now not just the door bell, garage door & light malfunction. We left messages and emailed him what's happening & hoping that he would take responsbility to correct them. To our frustration, he didn't answer the phone for months and finally he said he didn't know how to fix the door bell. We had to find someone to fix the bell. We confronted him that he needed to run an honest business and refund our $240.00 because he needed to deliver his promise. He refused to refund or credit us 5 hours of services. On June 7, 2012, we gave him second chance to make thing right, however, to our disappointment, he refuse to change.Be very cautious when dealing with this dishonest man. He purposely prolongs his servicing period (other handymen can get the job done in a fraction of time this guy does).. Not only that, most importantly, his workmanship isn't up to par.

+ 0 moreWe first arranged for an estimate and then scheduled the work to hang drywall on one wall of my garage. He informed me he would charge by the hour and I would pay for the materials. He realistically scheduled the work for 2 weeks from the estimate. On the day of the work he arrived on time with all materials. I had worked the night before and once he gat started I went back to bed. 4 hours later I heard him at the front door saying he had finished and he left the bill. He charged me for 4 hours labor and the materials. NO HIDDEN COSTS! Everything was exactly as he said and his work was excellent. I was so surprised he was able to get the drywall in around our solar water heaters without causing a problem. I'm very pleased with his work. Another note. I asked if he could do some other work that required plumbing and said he couldn't do it. I appreciate his honesty and not taking on a task that was beyond the scope of his skills.

Description of Work: The motion sensors lights in our backyard didn't work. They just stayed on all the time instead of turning on with detected motion. Paul arrived promptly, troubleshooted the wiring on our floodlights to determine the problem, went and purchased missing parts, and then proceeded to put up three floodlight sets for us. He also put up two curtain rods. Paul works quickly and is very professional.

Did everything he could until lunch, he required parts, went to store on his lunch, then came back, finished as promised and a bit early. Tall Paul is trustworthy and friendly. He even will tell you if it's above his level or experience.

+ 1 morePaul is a nice guy, he actually whistles while he works. Quickest installation of a kitchen faucet and garbage disposal I've seen and so far no leaks. The gaps around the security door took awhile as the door wasn't installed properly by a previous so called contractor. Overall, I am pleased with the work done. I am having him return in a couple of weeks to repair my patio screen door and do some chalking. In case you're wondering he charges by the hour and my price of $180.00 included the materials for repair work on the security door, btw I have double doors.
Description of Work: Installed door stop and threshold to seal gaps around security screen door. Replaced kitchen faucet and installed new garbage disposal.

+ -1 morePaul, the owner of HandyWorks, came to my apt and gave me an estimate for work needed. He was booked up for several weeks with jobs, so we made an appointment for the work to be done in three weeks. He showed up promptly on the appointment day and set to work immediately. He worked quickly to install a new bi-fold door in my bathroom, repaired two legs on my armchair with new wooden ones, and he repaired damaged drywall in the living room. At the end I asked him to do something we had not prearranged, to install a clothes hanging rod in the bathroom, which he did willingly. Paul worked quickly and was done in a few hours, he was very neat, and I was very pleased with the quality of his work. I thought his prices were quite reasonable. When he left, I asked him if he would be interested in doing some additional work at a later time, and he agreed. From my conversations with him, he seems to be skilled in many areas of home repair and renovation, but is careful to tell clients what he cannot do. All in all, this was a good experience and I hope to hire Paul for more work in the future.

He replaced the back steps on my lanai, primed the steps and they look awesome. He also went up on the roof and sealed the seam where a leak was coming in. I for sure will use him again, he was very resonably priced and did an excellent job.
