Description of Work: I recently engaged the services of Matt Sorensen, SEI Electric, to fix a power outage in the foyer of my home. He quickly fixed the electrical problem in my foyer and an electrical problem in my kitchen. I couldn't be more pleased. Within a 1/2 day of my on-line work request [submitted through the SEI website], Matt contacted me and scheduled a visit to my home. When he arrived on-site he analyzed the problem, identified the root cause [a faulty connection in an electrical outlet], and restored power to the affected area. As a result I had him also check a kitchen countertop electrical outlet that I had problems with. Again the same result: a thorough analysis, an identification of the root cause [a poor connection from the preceding outlet], and a countertop electrical outlet that works again. Matt Sorensen is an outstanding electrician. I will request his assistance again when I need electrical work done.

Description of Work: Our electricity was not working in part of our house. On their initial visit, they diagnosed that a secondary circuit breaker box had tripped. I had only checked our primary breaker box. They advised me at that time that the secondary breaker box was very old and should be changed. The cost of service is for their initial visit ($165) and the cost to replace the breaker box. Punctual, Professional, Pleasant, maybe pricey, but nothing or no one else to compare it to.

 + -1 moreSEI overcame several obstacles to compete the job to incude HECO initially marking the power supply cable into the property. SEI completed the work in a quality manner at a reasonable price. Only issue I had was that SEI was impacted by the permitting process and HECO's subcontractor's marking of the utility line, which prolonged the installation of the solar commissioning and power connections. I would diffintely use SEI again for any electrical needs.
Description of Work: SEI upgraded my electrical service from a 100 amp to a 200 amp service and connected solar system to the meter panel.

 + -1 moreThe electrician and his assistant were knowledgeable and solved the problem we were having with an electrical circuit in our home. The repair took two visits and while we would have preferred that the second visit be quicker, this could not be helped as the electrician was going out of town (small company). When they did come back a week later, they replaced the circuit in the most economical and safest way they could. We really appreciated their professionalism and their friendly manner. Most important to us, they clearly explained the problem to us and told us the available options for getting it fixed. In fact, they had to explain it a couple of times and were friendly throughout. Would definitely use this company again!

Description of Work: Misc. electrical repairs on a condo that was in escrow. Repairs needed to be done quickly in order to close escrow. This was the only company that responded quickly and did a very professional job. I would definitely recommend SEI as a very good electrical company

 + -1 moreSEI Electric is a great company that works with the customer to get the best job done. Our technician arrived promptly and did a very good job. We had two additional outlet installed, and an ceiling fan installed in our master bedroom. Everything works as requested, and he was very efficient. He did not have the correct size breaker that we needed so he politely stated that he needed to go to the store, and came back in ten minutes. I actually told him that h didn't have to rush and that he could get something to eat if he wanted and he said that he would do that when he was complete with the service. Overall great business.
Description of Work: We had two additional outlet installed, and an ceiling fan installed in our master bedroom. Our OTR Microwave plug was poorly ran by drilling holes through the cabinets to an outlet by the light switch for the kitchen. We had them install an outlet in the cabinet above the microwave. We also had a stacked washer/dryer which only had one 240v outlet, so we had them install an 120v outlet so that we could get two separate bigger machines.

 + -1 moreThe owner, Matt Sorenson, is astute to customer concerns and does excellent work in an efficient manner. Matt's main concern to me is customer satisfaction and superior workmanship. He's here to stay, not a fly by night operation!
Description of Work: My mother recently had her sink and stove removed (by another company). Matt helped rewire the outlets and update everything after several decades of disuse. There were a few misunderstandings about the time, but Matt quickly accommodated us. Highly recommended, we would hire him again.
