Great setup next day Apt (Sunday) so as to get dryer running for renter. Fast response complete service at a good price.

Called the electrician and he sent an underling to fix it on Friday and he put in a larger circuit breaker which also failed So he said he would be out 9am. 10am came and I called him and he claimed that he never made the appointment, after discussing it he admitted that he had made the appoint but forgot about it. Promised 2-4 that day. Finally arrived at 5:30 couldn't find the problem. I found a buzzing myself and called them back to fix it this time making the appointment with their secretary as he insisted. Then later I got a call that he wanted to go to a bigger job instead of mine. Lots of passive aggressive behavior and whining but finally arrived. Cut two holes in the drywall that turned out to be unnecessary to fixing it (no wires behind the drywall) that I now have to pay to fix. Stained my bedspread with junk from the wire, put their tools on my bed and then they left without telling me how much they would charge me for eventually fixing the problem. Lazy, totally unprofessional behavior. Would not recommend. Avoid at all costs.

The guys from SEI were awesome. 100% professional. Showed up on time (both times.) Best experience I've had with ANY contractor - ever.

Extremely well from my phone call to request service. scheduling, call on day of service, Matt showed up on time and efficiently worked on problem. I highly recommend this company.

Within a 1/2 day of my on-line work request [submitted through the SEI website], Matt contacted me and scheduled a visit to my home. When he arrived on-site he analyzed the problem, identified the root cause [a faulty connection in an electrical outlet], and restored power to the affected area. As a result I had him also check a kitchen countertop electrical outlet that I had problems with. Again the same result: a thorough analysis, an identification of the root cause [a poor connection from the preceding outlet], and a countertop electrical outlet that works again.

The S.E.I. person left with the problem not diagnosed and fixed. He charged us about $540 for a little about 4 hours. Our overall rating is based on that charge in the face if his inability to properly diagnose the problem and correct the problem along with the fact that another electrician was contacted, and he diagnosed and fixed the problem after spending about 3 hours and charged us about $300.

The electrician and his assistant were more-or-less on time, being delayed only because it's easy to get lost in our neighborhood. They had good attitudes and were responsive to my problem. They offered the solution (new breaker with conduit on outside of house to a new outlet) at a reasonable price, and even matched a quote from a competitor for the same job (the other electrician was booked until July). I had to get to work so they finished up on their own. Nothing was out of place in the house, but they'd borrowed\moved some of my stuff from the garage to get the job done and didn't put it back. I ended up finding some scrap electrical wire the next time I mowed the lawn, but it was really a minor issue. Based on price and over-all performance, I give them an A. I would have really preferred they asked where (vertically) on the wall I wanted the outlet, as it is way higher than anything else in the room and stands out in a weird way, but other than that they did a great job quickly (approximately 2.5 hours) and at a good price.

SEI electric is a very good company. Their response was quick and prices reasonable. Matt our electrician was professional, easy to work with and did a great job. Teresa, the office manager kept us up to date and communication was excellent. They were able to perform the work within a short time. We would use them again in the future.

This is the second time we've used their services. Earlier this year they replaced an outdoor electrical outlet. Very courteous and professional. Accomplished the work in a timely manner.

Purchase the Big Deal Coupon ($50 for $100 electrical work). Communicated with provider and they said they no longer sell the coupon with Angie's List. They contacted you and you said to contact Angie's List. They said they would not honor the coupon. I am very disappointed.

They advised me that the drip in refrigerator water spout was a design flaw and told me how to replace part myself, plus where to buy the part. All around it was an excellent experience and an inexpensive one.

They came promptly in response to my call relating to repairing a bathroom ceiling vent. They quoted a price to replace the vent and suggested doing the vent from another bathroom, which was also about 40 years old. They did the work very quickly and professionally, including getting in the attic. We are completely satisfied.

So this company is a 2-man operation: The owner Matt and a helper. This was the deciding factor when I chose them, I knew who I would be getting. The downside to this is that it was almost 2 weeks before they could fit me into their schedule. Always a trade-off but it wasn't an emergency so no problem. It ended up being a jumpered wire that a mouse had chewed up through a plastic pipe hidden within a concrete wall. I hope the f***** got electrocuted. Matt and Jeff pulled a new section of wire replacing the bad run and redid several of the outlets as they weren't wired to code. I was surprised at how much the job cost but I don't have a point of reference to compare it to and considering the troubleshooting / repair took almost 3 hours, it's probably very reasonable. Both Matt and Jeff were super laid back and were pleasant to talk to. They took their time to explain what they were seeing and what the potential causes were. I felt very much in the loop and Iearned quite a bit about home electric wiring.

The reason I needed an electrician was that I had a power surge an outlet in my home office. Either the wall outlet or the power strip gave three loud pops, I knew then that this could not be good and that I needed to call an electrician. I selected contacted S.E.I Electric from Angie's list because of their good reviews. When I called S.E.I to make an appointment, I found the office staff to be very professional and courteous. The electrician (Eric Hashimoto) arrived as scheduled, was very knowledgeable and courteous. Eric identified the problem and completed the necessary repairs in a timely manner. Eric was so kind in solving the mystery I had as to which outlet was controlled by the wall switch, lol. I'm very happy with S.E.I and would not hesitate to use them again.

It went really well. I cannot rate them on punctuality because the person who was supposed to come could not physically arrive so another person came.

He arrived on time; went right to work and told me what he was doing and why. Took under an hour to make repairs. While I thought it was expensive, the safe wiring was essential.

He installed new outdoor outlet. I would highly recommended SEI Electic for the conciseness good work that he provided me.

After several hours, found the problems, a shorted surge protector and a solar panel bracket stud shorting out a lighting cable.

Since they never responded, I'll never know the quality of their work
