Very pleased with John's work. He's a great person, and is very easy to work with. He completed my unfinished deck by installing two doors on the built in closets. He also finished our outside entertainment center with drywall and paint. He did a good job of matching the molding to the existing molding. My awesome deck, is now totally complete. He also hung all the flat screen TV's in my house and on the deck. He did this work before Thanksgiving. In January, we hired him and his crew again, to build a new bathroom off of the family room. They did an excellent job. This work included hanging an interior and exterior steel door (you can enter from the family room or from the patio outside), framing and building a small bathroom, installing the toilet, sink, mirror, accessories that included a grab bar. They also installed the flooring, did plumbing and installed the lights and did the electrical work. They also built a door for an attic like space that we store our luggage and Christmas boxes in. No more open door way in my wall anymore! I'm not sure of the correct words that should be used, I was the person who hired him and my husband was the person who worked with him once he arrived. He would probably say it better than I, but I can tell you, if your looking for someone to do work around your home that needs to be done, he can do it. He does return phone calls, he does what he saids, he ask the right questions, his prices are good and reasonable, he works with very skilled people that you can trust in your house. I didn't deal with the money, my husband did so I may be off on that part. But for all the work he did, I surely got my monies worth! Mahalo nui John. We'll be in touch.

John is pretty busy, but he'll squeeze you in if he can. He's fair about pricing and shows up when he says he will. We trusted him to work on our place, even when we weren't there. The project took longer and cost more than it might have, but that was mainly due to the fact that we didn't have a clear understanding of what we wanted or what was available.

I had a different experience with Mr. Fixit. The initial visit went well and he seemed informed and skilled. The dates for the work, however, were then pushed back due to other jobs, twice. When finally scheduling new date in January 2013, I first learned that he: (1) intended to charge me for the time shopping for supplies, and (2) the time he spent driving to and from my house each day to do the work. Regarding the first, while not happy - as other contractors have not charged me for this - I was willing to yeild. Regarding the second however, he lives 30-45 minutes from my home (likely more if commuting during rush hour), and, thus, he planned to charge me $100-$150 per day just to get to and from the job site. I have had many contractors work on my home and other homes and have NEVER had one charge me or even ask to charge me for his (or her) commute time to and from the job site. Thus, when I said I would not pay for his commute, he said that was a deal-breaker, and would not do the job. In sum, while I cannot comment on the actual work performed, his policies and charges, I felt, were not appropriate. I guess if he can get his other clients to pay for this, so be it. I refused.

I use him all the time for my property management company and he always does a great job for me. I use him from small jobs to bigger ones. He can do just about everything I ask of him. I would recommend for anyone.

Everything turned out well. I would definitely use him in the future if the need for his services was warranted.

This guy is truly AMAZING! To begin, he called me when he was on his way which is always a plus in my book. He arrived exactly on time and after doing an observation of the work list and areas, I MMEDIATELY GOT TO WORK. All the work was completed in 5 hours, which is super fast even for the most experience handymen out there. His prices CAN NOT be beat! I was expecting to pay upwards of $50/hour but this man has integrity with his craft; he charges a great amount for work that some who charge $50/hr have left me needing to call someone else to fix. What is even more remarkable was the ease in actually setting up an appointment. We called last Friday and the next business day he was able to work us in. Please work with handyman. I've seen a lot on this island and this is the only time I've been 100% satisfied with money still left in pocket!

John arrived in the morning with all the necessary tile and equipment. He did the tiles first, then moved on to the bathroom door which was hanging from split molding and could not be closed. This was a big job and required most of the rest of the day. All the work was done in a professional manner. I have much more work for John, but thanks to the good reviews he gets on Angie's List, he has too much work all over the island and doesn't get out to Mililani often. He is more than welcome to assist me when he can. A superb handyman!

Excellent and will use him again. Because of his excellent Angie's list reviews he is getting busy so if you need to use him you need to plan ahead.

When they came initially they did not anticipate some of the issues. They had to come back twice to finish it properly. They were diligent and made sure that everything was done right.

John Graebner (Mr. Fixit Handyman) was very, very nice throughout the whole process of answering my call, returning my call, setting up a meeting time with my tenant and checking out the problem (a rapidly dripping bath faucet that needed replacement) and deciding what needed to be done. In fact, he declined the job because he thought the tenant's boyfriend knew exactly what to do and could easily do it himself, thus saving me the money. He didn't want me to spend more money than I needed to. He did all this (altogether perhaps an hour of his time) for free. What a guy!

The handyman from Angies listed worked out great. He showed up on time and performed the work in a timely and professional manner. I would use him again for work as needed and definitely recommend him to friends.

His name is John Graber. He is terrific. He can do anything. He's on time and he's handy. He is honest and hardworking. He is an easy person to trust.

I called John (Mr. Fixit) based on his positive reviews and I have to say that they were absolutely correct. He called me back promptly to tell me that he was in the middle of a job but we set a time when he could call me back. He then called me back when he said he would and we discussed the work I wanted done. We set an appointment and then he actually showed up on time. I have been mistreated by some contractors and it is refreshing to work with someone who does what they say they are going to do. John accompanied me to the store to purchase the new faucet and some other items. I had already purchased the new light fixture and the AC window unit. He charges by the hour but he worked fast so even with the trip to the store the total bill was more than reasonable. John replaced the bathroom faucet and installed the AC window unit very quickly and professionally. When he repaired the broken towel bar, he created a smooth finish on the dry wall with a single stroke. I can tell that he is flexible and has a lot of different skills. He did have a little trouble with the ceiling light because the screws provided with the fixture did not fit into the old, non-standard electrical box in my ceiling. It actually fit on one side and not the other. He was able to cut down one of the screws using a Dremel so that it fit perfectly and the new fixture looks great. I'm very happy with the work and the price and plan to have him back again soon to do some more work.

Very well. I called him the day before and though he was busy he worked me in at the end of the day. He told me his rates and about the two hour minimum. He arrived on time and came up to look at the job. Then he went back to his truck for the proper equipment. He set right to work and finished in about a half hour. He took the hardware and drapery material down to my garbage room. He left cards for me to share and told me to call him when I had other needs. I will use him again, but the next time I will have more for him to do. He has a two hour minimum at $35 per hour so not knowing how long the job would take I did not make the best use of my money - HOWEVER, I was under a time deadline from my condo association to get the work done so was glad he could come quickly. I will definitely use him again.

Both my wife and I are extremely satisfied with the completed work. It was very obvious to me that Mr. Graeber takes grate pride in the his work, he is truly a master craftsman. From the beginning he provided us with options to consider and communicated with us throughout the project. Mr. Graeber removed a the loose particles from the rotted area and filled the large void with bondo. He completed the process by sanding the area smooth. I will definitely recommend him to my friends and neighbors.

Answered phone, appointment set quickly and easily. Good communication. Came the next day, did the job. Quick, easy and professional. Excellent overall experience. There is a 2 hour labor minimum, otherwise I can't comment on pricing as I have no point of comparison.

Nice guy! Explained clearly what he was going to do and worked quickly. I think his price was reasonable too.

I like that he answers my calls, is reasonably priced and tries to stick to his estimates. His communication is very good, does good work and is punctual.

John came out twice - once to put up three light sets and another date later in the week to put in a wall entry dog door. Because the original installation of the fans and subsequent wiring were faulty, John spent a couple of hours troubleshooting why the connections were not working. In the end, he determined that it would be easier just to replace the whole set (i.e. instead of adding the light set to the existing fan, replace it with all in one fan & light set). He did manage to fix and attach one light set to the existing fan. What should have turned out to be a 1-2 hour job, ended up taking almost 6 hours. However, John does not charge for the time spent trying to determine the problem. The wall dog door also took about 3 hours. He had to cut through several partitions - apparently the house is well insulated/framed :)

Replaced two old ceiling fans which my landlord didn't want to replace. My landlord was told by another Handyman it would cost over $1000 because there was an electrical issue. Mr. Fixit looked into the problem and fixed it the same day, for $200 with one trip to the hardware store. He was prompt, professional, and I look forward to relying on him in the future for maintenance needs.

I called late afternoon, he answered, came first thing the next morning, and completed the work in about 5 hours.
