Prompt, courteous, thorough. John offered good advice on how to complete the jobs we had for him. Easy to work with. Did not pressure-sell any services. Very accommodating. I would recommend John to others looking for a handyman, and would hire him again without hesitation.

We are repeat customers of John. Whenever we need something below a contractor's work we contact him. He has demonstrated he knows what he is doing. He is prompt, polite and within our budget. This job was done in two visits. First the patching. Several days were allowed to have the patch dry. Second, came applying texture to match the rest of the wall and painting.

John Graeber is now my Mr. Fixit. He did one job for me, and I feel that he communicates well, does what he says he will within the agreed time and price, and will be honest if there are issues. The honesty is as important to me as anything else. I have a rental house and needed someone to fix some stone tiles on the front and back porches. Mr. Graeber agreed to check out the job and estimate it for me. I told him I was looking for someone who would warrantee their work - I wanted it to last. When he got there, he let me know that the existing installation was "not the best", and that his fixes would not last as long as I wanted - the state of the porch wouldn't support it, and realistically I should expect to replace the entire set of stone tiles in a few years. He knew that wasn't what I wanted to hear, but he told me anyway. I asked him to go ahead, schedule with the rental tenant, and do the job. He finished within the price and time he quoted (pretty reasonable) and also fixed a rotting window sash in the same trip. My tenant was happy with his demeanor and work. When I went to inspect a few weeks later, I saw what he meant about the state of the porch tiles in general, and both the tenant and I agreed with his assessment. I will comfortably recommend him to anyone who asks.

Cracks in door were repaired fine with caulk and paint. Rotten board was removed and a new board cut to replace it, but the new board is not the same width as remaining good boards. Without consulting me, John chose a can of paint I had nearby and painted the new board - it was not the right color to match remaining boards. When I complained he told me he could not see the difference in color - maybe a visual limitation? Also he used one of my high quality paint brushes without asking me and did not clean it properly. Supervise him closely and he may do good work for you.

The details are each of many items were completed with care and the thought of always saving us money. As an example, I had thought I need to replace an exterior door and security screen. I had quotes from $1,000 to $2,000 for these doors. John said doors did not need replacing and John fixed both doors of about $200. Great service to us. John did the repairs and replacements with great skill and speed which meant he could charge us less. John even went shopping for supplies when we did not know what to get. Again, John tried to do repairs rather than just replace for more money. I told John that we will have a new list of repairs for after the holidays. Thanks so much. BTW, John is busy so you may have to wait for him to get you scheduled but worth the wait. Also, I deal with contractors all the time and Johnthinks of his customers first.

John and his team did an outstanding job. Very prompt, very good use of supplies, no wasted materials. Best of all, he finished the job when he said he would with excellent build-quality. I definitely recommend him and even took the time to write this review. Thanks John!

John was great. He promptly responded to my call and gave as close an estimate as he could, given the uncertainty of what he would find once he started work on several of the projects. Once we found a date that worked, John showed up on time and ready to work. He kept me aware of what he was doing and what problems he might encounter. He also worked with me to utilize materials I already had in order to keep costs down. He replaced some rotting wood in the eaves and on an exterior corner above the porch roof, filled some more rotten wood in several locations, and repaired a concrete wall. Quality of work was excellent, work was efficient, and price was good. I will use John again and would recommend him to anyone.

John arrived punctually at 8 AM and got right to work. The job wasn't easy- he had to stand in the middle of the king-size bed to do this precarious work. Within an hour and a half and it was done! It works great and is saving me money on air conditioning. John is very professional and does excellent work. I have recommended him to several of my friends and colleagues.

We are in the process of selling our home and needed to fix a whole bunch of things to get ready for the sale. I contacted John through Angie's List. He responded the same day, and offered to come the following day which was great because we really needed the help right away. The following day he was right on time. He inspected the entire home and advised on what need to be repaired. He was able to fix and install everything we needed, including multiple broken jalousie levers with rivets that I had no idea how to repair. The price he charged was very reasonable and I was happy to have the option to use a credit card (with a small fee). We will for sure be calling John again, and will be recommending him to others.

We have been working on updating the vanity area in each of our two bathrooms. Progress has been dictated by finances. John came to our home to complete the final stage of our dream of finish what we started months ago. We found John to be honest, knowledgeable, skilled and informative. He completed all of the work we requested. As he was getting ready to leave he asked if there was anything else he could do for us -- the windows came to mind. We live on a high floor. The windows lift out for cleaning but are too heavy for us to manage. John quickly offered to help us with the windows. He popped them out, I cleaned the exteriors and he reinstalled each window for us. We will definitely have John on speed dial for future handyman needs.

I got lucky that John had a cancellation so he was able to complete my work the next working day. He completed all work in a reasonable time. Adjusting the slide in range was tricky because he had to cut out a section of the counter-top to make it slide back far enough to reach the back stop strip. There was no other way to do it and still look good. It turned better than I thought. We did not pick the rugs before he did the work in the bathroom. So I owe my wife some new rugs. I had initially wanted him to replace the screen on my lanai door, but he recommended I power wash it instead. I provided John with pictures of the jobs prior to arrival and picked up all the material myself prior to his arrival. That made the project go a lot smoother. We talked on the phone prior to arrival to verify all required work and make sure we were on the same page. Considering I put my condo up my sale that evening. The repairs will help a lot.

John was punctual and very friendly. He gave us different options on how we could do things. He was fair in his price and did a good job fixing the things he needed to. I would definitely recommend him and use him again myself.

He was very quick to respond to my request for an appointment. After telling him what I needed done, he advised me what steps I could take to keep the total cost of the installments down. He advised how to measure and select the right replacement toilet and faucets and as soon as I got them, to let him know, so we can schedule an estimate visit. He was prompt, professional, friendly and referred us to subcontractors who worked well with him in the past and turned out to be just as great as he was. He was only able to do the replacement of the toilet, as the faucet replacements involved more complicated plumbing for both kitchen and tub and tile work for the tub. He communicated with us every step of the way and helped us remain within budget. I would most certainly recommend him to anyone asking about having work done around the house.

Things went well for the most part. At the end we were not very happy with the painting. Semi gloss paint was used as a touch up on a ceiling that had flat paint. That seemed like a significant error. We became frustrated at that point and corrected the paint ourselves. In a prior review I had incorrectly recalled events and was more critical of Mr. Fixit than was warranted. I had included a separate part of the job that Mr. Fixit did not do. (That separate job involved replacing doors. The separate workman incorrectly cut the final dimensions (too short) of a door which really was unsatisfactory). Mr. Fixit's work was overall good. The finish work issue is what would cause us to give an excellent grade.

John did a great job checking out the area we needed fencing and then he handed the job off to Mike Anderson, his fencing contractor. Mike and his team did a wonderful on our fence. He used all of the right materials for our location and application and the job was done right. Our fence looks great and works great. We are anxious to use John and Mike on future jobs.

John was polite and punctual. He removed existing sink and faucets. He then installed new sink and faucets. He had to modify the existing plumbing to accommodate the new sink, which required a trip to city mill for supplies. Job took 4hrs instead of initial 2 hrs estimated, but he handled the situation well. Small leak from new plumbing noted after he left has resolved with my tightening trap connection. I was happy with results overall and will have him return for additional jobs.

I would highly recommend John. He was a work horse through out the day with little breaks in between. He did a great job with the tasks including painting, plumbing, installing window trims and other minor repairs. He provided some good suggestions in other areas as well.

Called and left message and the company never responded so I do not know anything about their services. Maybe they were on vacation, etc.

Sink was non standard and plumbing fixture had to be very carefully selected to make it work. It works well. Well thought out job, fair price. Easy to work with and explains what he is doing.

I bought materials and he fixed siding and painted Beverly good job, seemed to have enough tools and was prompt and fast

John was initally professional and did good work. But after repeated calls and emails I'm unable to schedule him to do the bulk of the job he gave us estimates for. Very frustrating.

John is pleasant and easy to communicate with. He shows up on time. He listens to what the customer wants. John is an excellent example of what I expect of a handyman: great problem solving, willingness to tr creative approaches, and easy to work with. His work is thorough and he gets the job done. I will definitely hire John again.
