Outstanding group of excellent tradesmen rarely seen today and much appreciated. We had most of our main floor of the house painted and some areas were very challenging. Mike Cooper, who supervised the work of the highly skilled workforce, was a real taskmaster with full attention to detail. He assured that everything was completed to the letter from the preparation to the final walk through. No better professionals on this island.

I had two jobs completed by Mike and his crew. The first was the biggest and the most complicated. I had to juggle the painters with floor installers. After the painters completed the majority of their job (removal of "popcorn" on ceilings, drywall ceilings, prep and painting walls), the floors were installed. The painters had to come back to paint the baseboards and touch up from the floor installation. I was really impressed with how flexible Mike and his crew were with working within my expectations. The second job was painting a very large room with high ceilings, windows, and beams. I was a little hesitate hiring someone to just basically paint, but was so happy I did. I never could have done the job that Mike and his crew completed. They patched and calked even the smallest holes. The room looks absolutely awesome. Mike was also very patient with me and helped me with my color choices. I couldn't be happier with the outcome.

We had called Mike for an estimate for our home. We were pleased with the quoted cost and wanted the painting done prior to Thanksgiving. Mike was kind enough to work us in and to finish the job before the big holiday. They arrived early daily to work and always cleaned up prior to leaving for the day. They did a great job. Without a doubt, you should call them. Absolutely talented at what they do.

They did excellent work and finished ahead of schedule. I would not hesitate to use them again.

Came on time, provided professional drywall repair and finish, and the fix he suggested was thousand of dollars less than anyone else suggested and only took two hours rather than five days as quoted by other companies.

It was wonderful! All workers arrived and left on time; work was carefully and professionally done; daily clean up, too. Owner had to remain in house and was courteously treated. Glitches (to be expected in an older home) were professionally addressed with careful recommendations. Electrical work was updated as well.

Mike and his crew were on time and conscientious. They always asked to clarify before starting on a new segment in the house. Important as we had specified rooms with different color schemes. They did some drywall work and fixed some obvious lines on the wall. Can't see them at all now. The job took several days, if there were time conflicts they were resolved agreeably.

We couldn't be more pleased with the work. From start to finish the job went smoothly and efficiently. Everything from the initial meeting and estimate, to the final coat of paint went pefectly. Mike and his team even finished a day early and the final price was a couple hundred dollars under estimate! I recommend Mike for anyone looking for painting and drywall and look forward to working with him again in the future.

Mike's crew did a great job

Mike Cooper was introduced to us by Harry Oneha, a neighbor with his own established drywall business. Harry handled the dry wall part of the job, repairing cracks and defects in the walls and ceilings resulting from earthquake damage and age. We were very impressed by Harry's professionalism and the care he took to identify problems that we did not even knew existed. He laid the foundation for the excellent paint job for which he brought Mike in as a partner to handle. The disruption to our routine was considerable. But we were very impressed by the good-natured character of the team, their cheerful work ethic and the absence of any drama on the job. They were punctual and courteous at all times. They clearly worked well together, supported each other's efforts and worked hard to respond to any concerns that emerged along the way. As someone who works largely from home, it was possible for me to continue to meet my professional obligations while having a team of several men around because they worked diligently, neatly and with no sign of discord. They took great pains covering furniture and moving things with care to minimize the possibility of damage. (And they worked to music!) Mike is a talented and skilled painter who works hard to build his business and is complemented well by Harry Oneha who brings his maturity and good cheer to bear in resolving occasional challenges. We would recommend establishing a work plan in writing in advance, laying out assignments and specific expectations as well as a detailed breakdown of costs to help move the job along to completion to everyone's satisfaction with no surprises. Discussing the pros and cons of different types of paints in advance and agreeing on what kind suited each environment would also help ensure common understanding. I would happily recommend Mike Cooper and his team to anyone wanting a quality paint job from someone who clearly knows what he is doing and takes pride in his work.

My experience with Mike's Drywall and Painting was professional from the initial inspection, quote and execution. They were very respectful of my property and household members. Harry (drywall supervisor) followed up in a timely manner before, during and upon completion of the job. I initially hired them to repair my ceiling from water damage. I was so impressed with their team and work upon completion I hired them to re-texture and paint one of my bathrooms. I highly recommend Mike's Drywall and Painting!

They were fabulous. We paid $6293 and that included the paint. Then there was a little bit more painting, and they had to buy another $125, so we paid about $6500 including paint. They are high quality painters. On everything, I can't say anything negative, they were just absolutely incredible. In fact, one of the guys that was painting is actually a professional painter, he does artwork too. They were just really good guys, and also Mike himself. We had all the woodwork and doors sprayed. Everything is covered; their prep work is amazing. The carpets are all covered, and they spend a ton of time prepping before they do all the woodwork. They did that first, then they did the ceilings and the walls last. They did all the repair work. My brother-in-law was taking down TVs and rewiring to put in the movie theater room, then they came behind him and patched everything up. Their drywall was fabulous. One of the rooms had some wallpaper that the original builder had done. The place was only built in 2002, and the original builder hadn’t even prepped the walls before he had done the drywall. So they had to totally drywall it and do everything. It was just incredible. We had it all done in flat paint too. Then we had egg shell for the trim. For flat paint, if they don’t do a good job, we can totally tell. They are more like artist painters; they really go a good job. We already told them that if we need touch-ups, we want them to come in.

Overall it was great quality work at a reasonable price, and they did it quick and efficient!. I would definitely recommend this company for paint dry wall services!

Michael Cooper is the owner. I would recommend him. He is what one would want in a painter. He is a perfectionist. He does a beautiful job. I suggested that he change his name to Michelangelo. I was very impressed with the beautiful work that he did. He self-monitored his work, which I was thankful for. I am planning to use him for exterior painting. I have recommended him to my friends. He was part of the team that came to do the repairs in my house. So, he did not charge me directly. I paid a total of $4,000 for the repairs. I am sure he is reasonable. He is honest and able. He also has a good sense of humor. He sings while he works.

.One word. Fantastic. Mike Cooper is a professional who not only knows his trade, but knows how to surround himself with a great crew. From the time that he showed up for the estimate (on a Sunday and right on time) to the end of the job when he handed the keys back over, We felt that his focus was solely on ensuring our home was treated as if it was his own. His meticulous attention to seemingly every detail left us very happy. As a minor example of this, he treated the outside steps with sand in the paint to help increase grip during rain. We had not discussed this but he felt it the right thing to do. The description above really doesn't do justice to the detail work that he did. Numerous nooks and crannies, all attacked with same professionalism and the end result is a completely transformed house, both inside and out. He was always where he said he would be on time, estimated 11 days to finish and finished in 10. Always explained his thoughts effectively and always communicated promptly any questions or concerns. I highly recommend Mike's Drywall and Painting. He will treat your house as if it is own and do it all for a very competitive price. We will certainly be using his services again in the future.

The estimate went really well. I plan on getting back to him to arrange service! He brought a drywall person to help him give an accurate estimate for the whole project. They gave me options to work with as well. I was very pleased.

Recently the fifty-plus year home of my sister was in need of repair to her . My neighbor recommended a contractor who in turn sub contracted Michael Cooper for the painting. Michael is very profesional: punctual, prepared, knowledgeable, highly skilled with an eye for detail. Consequently, when we needed some painting done on our home, we hired Michael. It was an absolute "no brainier.". He is a joy to work with -- he will keep you informed about the unexpected, have thoughtful suggestions for the occasional bump in the road. I would highly recommend him to my family members and closest friends. I will be hiring him again.

We have used Mike's company several times over the years and always been impressed with the quality of his work and attention to detail. This was the biggest project by far and we couldn't be happier. Work was completed on time and everything looks perfect; it's like having a brand new home.

He told me he didn't have a contractor's license. He was very professional, but very expensive. I had an estimate done by another company and it was about $2,000 less. I will be using the other company when I have the work done.

Don't use the Benjamin Moore "Sweete Bluette" paint. It looks like a hospital hallway or elementary school room. I chose that and started out with that but quickly saw it wasn't going to work. When my wife first looked at it, she said it was gay, and she was right. Gay as in a little too glib and candid. Do not use this color unless you are painting a nursery or little boys bathroom, in which case it might work OK. Anyway, so long as I paid for the new paint (Blue Pearl), Mike didn't get too upset that he had to repaint some of what he already did. And they still finished ahead of schedule. Wow now that's service! BTW I'm not "picky" but am new to paint colors so I guess that was my first lesson in misconceptualizing how a 1 inch swatch translates to an entire room. But these guys fixed it up real good with the new paint and I'm a happy customer. The guy from Kualoa Ranch way is a real nice guy, and you can tell when he talks that he knows his business like a pro. Mahalo!

Came on time for estimate, came on time for actual work, finished in shorter time than estimated. Professional and likable demeanor. Willing to educate us on different paints and so on. The masking job, to protect surfaces while they sprayed ceiling blew me away--seemed like there wasn't an inch of surface left unmasked. Removed closet doors and hardware, curtain rods etc and replaced everything perfectly, trim immaculate. Kept in touch by phone and e-mail throughout the 4 1/2 day job. Can't vouch for price--only got one estimate--but Mike showed me on the calculator how he was figuring the charges. I trust him.

I had a very big job in my new house. Mike and his co-workers came in and made it happen. They skim coated my very uneven ceilings to a just shy of perfectly flat surface and primed and painted them. They went through and made sure to lay paper and protected the carpet and walls as much as possible. I had a deadline so they also worked in conjuction with another painting contractor who was skim coating my walls where I had removed wallpaper. Overall my experience was very pleasant and extremely professional. I would recommend his services to any of my friends and family in Oahu.

Mike did a GREAT job. In the painting of my studio, he showed up when he said he would, prepped it (including caulking of the old wallpaper to the ceiling) and painted over the old textured wallpaper. He protected the floor and the adjacent surfaces and completed the job in the one day as promised and allowed me to get my unit occuthe next day! It was a good and durable job and even after three years of abuse from vacation rentals is still looking good today. He also did a great job on the exterior of a house in Kaneohe that I was managing for my realtor who was putting it on the market. After getting several bids (the owner wanted to make sure he was getting a good deal) Mike came in the lowest. Again he came in on time when he said and powerwashed the entire exterior and primed all the raw lumber and rusted surfaces. He finish painted it with an accent trim color, again protecting all adjacent surfaces. He got done when promised so that the realtor could meet his date for professional pictures and his open house. Mike did such a good job that I understand he also got the job of painting the neighbors house next door as well !! Most recently, some friends in Waikiki were remodeling an old penthouse in Waikiki that they had just purchased. The ceilings were a very rough and uneven plaster with a texture sprayed on them. When other painters said they couldn't level the ceiling and put a smooth surface on it Mike not only said he could...but he DID. There was a 4 day opening before the owner had set up a house warming party and Mike came in with his crew and taped off all the ceilings and protected all the floors and proceeded to float out the ceilings with drywall mud. The existing was in terrible shape with huge variations in unevenness. Four days later the job was not only floated out to a nice smooth and even surface but was primed and finish painted and looked great!!
