Description of Work: Changed the gasket in my front loading washer

Description of Work: Awesome service!! A button on my dryer was broken and I called them to fix it. I called them at 2:00 and someone was at my house by 3:00. They told me the whole panel would need to be changed which would have cost me $200 (all for this small power button). Instead he offered to fix it with glue and taught me how to fix if it ever happened again.

Description of Work: There was a noise that I started hearing about a week ago when the machine was in the spin cycle. It resembled a squeaking/rubbing sound. I called Budget to have someone come to take a look at my washing machine, ascertain the problem, and finally to fix it. The service person was okay and performed the perfunctory tasks to isolate the problem. He was able to find three screws that had become lodged in the center area which we initially thought was the problem. No such luck. The noise was still there and seemed to have become more pronounced after running a test. He did what he could however the job may have been beyond his capabilities or scope, as well as requiring another person to help un-log and lift the washer drum out. In the end, to complete the job entirely would have required another visit, two Budget people, and possibly in upwards of $500. Although the problem wasn't resolved by Budget I don't know if another company would have been able to resolve it either. All-in-all I give the company an "A-".

Description of Work: They came and said I fixed the problem already on my own and they find no issues.

Description of Work: Refrigerator fan ran but no cold air coming out. Service man was a bit glib, was certain that it was a particular part, which he replaced, then when he decided to wait a few minutes to see if cold air was coming out of the condenser, found that it wasn't, so he hadn't fixed it. He then announced that the refrigerator had leaked out all of the freon, and charged the senior rate for the service call. He had earlier said it was expensive to replace the freon, but did not offer this as a possibility after he found that his assumed fixed hadn't worked. I don't consider this very professional, especially as this was a bottom-freezer unit and they are very costly.
